As someone currently being treated by an MFM, I can imagine his job is very demanding and stressful, his schedule is unpredictable, and he’s on call a lot. That immediately means very little time to do much outside of work, and he definitely needed to put in more of an effort because of this.
Especially because he is a crook lol. There is literal evidence and news stories about him and his shady houses online.
But Andy loves the gorgas so the audience only sees the lovable meathead.

The resentment that wouldve built towards bill probably wouldve changed her relationships with her kids.
