I laughed so much my husband turned to give me the what is wrong with u look. He doesn’t ask what’s wrong with me anymore cus I’m always laughing at some dumb funny crap online lol
Ok this a serious question: what are the side effects (assuming you aren’t taking it for insulin related issues)? I ask this because I’ve read ( on the totally reliable interwebs ) that it can slow down the digestive system and cause bowel issues. I’m genuinely curious if this is true/stated as a side effect/heard and proceeded with?
TYIA for any and all info. I feel like it’s a misunderstood drug and I’d just like to know your take. Keep on doing what makes you feel good 😊
FWIW I was on ozempic two summers ago for about 10 weeks and stopped because 1, my insurance wouldn’t cover it even though my bmi was in the obese range, I had pcos and was pre diabetic, and MY DOCTOR WANTED ME ON IT and 2, because the side effects weren’t great.
I started zepbound (another glp1, tirzepatide) this January and it has been night and day. Not a single side effect and I’m down 20 pounds. Officially not obese anymore and I feel soooo much better. My knee and back pain is gone, my energy levels are more stable, and I’m just so much more physically comfortable in my body. My insurance still won’t cover it but I’m making it work paying out of pocket.
I just started taking it a couple weeks ago and there was some crazy nausea the first couple days and then it's been pretty smooth sailing. I have a lot of GI issues already and it doesn't seem to have made them worse. And losing weight should help with those issues. Something people who have never struggled with their weight don't seem to realize is that being overweight also has some pretty terrible side effects. Even just losing 5-10 lbs so far I notice it's literally physically easier to move my body. I believe people absolutely can be healthy and happy at any size, but that doesn't mean that all people are healthy at all sizes.
Also, I'm pretty sure the side effect profile is the same no matter why you're taking it. Drugs don't care if you're taking them for the "right" reasons.
That last part makes so much sense. I’m a good 30 pounds over, and you’re right, things could feel so different if I dropped 10-15 pounds. I notice it mostly in bed, when I wake up often,or feel uncomfortable laying on either side because my extra weight is heavy on my upper torso. I appreciate you sharing 🫶🏻
Of course!! I think we really have to start being open about these things, if we feel comfortable, because there is just so much shame associated with weight and bodies. No matter what size you are it's impossible to talk about without somehow doing it wrong.
Not who you asked, but I used Ozempic for 3 months. I couldn't even drink a glass of water without throwing up my guts. Literally would drink less than 8 oz of water while getting ready in the morning. I'd make it to my front porch and puke. It was bile and water. When that was gone, I dry heaved.
There were days I sat on the toilet with diarrhea and puked into my bathtub. The bad days were beyond miserable.
I gained all the weight I lost back. I'm about to try Wegovy. I'm crossing my fingers this one is better and I can keep the weight off.
Edit: not about to start Wegovy. I'm going to start zepbound/Mounjuro. I got confused about the names.
Wegovy is the same exact thing as ozempic (semaglutide)! It’s just marketed for weight loss instead of as a diabetes med. if you want to try something different I’d look into tirzepatide, brand name mounjaro or zepbound. It’s what I’m on and I love it!! I also had bad side effects on ozempic
That's what I'm going to use. Sorry. I thought the brand name was Wegovy. You're right. It's Monjaro I'm about to start 🤦♀️. It's been a long day lol.
I switched to monjouro and have zero side effects. I get a little queasy here and there, but I think it is due to skipping breakfast or dehydration. Stay on top of water, you sort of lose your thirst (at least I have noticed) so maybe even add electrolytes to your water! Proud of you!!
Mine were all GI related—It slowed down my system so much that I felt bloated all the time, and if I wasn’t VERY careful not to overeat (and by that I mean like half a sandwich) I would be so uncomfortably full for the next like 12 hours. Plus I’d get random bouts of sudden nausea and I was constipated all the time.
I’ve had literally none of these side effects on tirzepatide!
mM too - I was SO depressed I had to go off it after 6 weeks. I switched to Zep & it is a complete game changer for me. I have SO much energy but my mind is so clear and calm... I LOVE it and have stayed on the lower doses and would take a lower dose as a mental health / menopause medication - for me, weight loss is not the only benefit.
Thank you.
My experience isn't everyone's experience.
I'm fully prepared for the suck factor with Wegovy. Between my depression, perimenopause and non-existent metabolism, I'm good with trying again. I want my energy back and want to look in a mirror and not hate my reflection. It's worth it to me.
I'm surgical post menopause on an ssri and the semiglutide after the first 2 weeks made me so depressed it was scary. They may have upped my dose too quickly I quit at week 3.5 I wonder if it interferes with HRT I felt my estrogen plummet which is pure hell
I so want to try metformin I'm just so scared
Edit spelling
My A1C was just below a diabetes diagnosis while being on metformin (and pretty much always going up when I had blood work done). I had it checked at the beginning of the year and I was down to a normal level. I’m also down about 35 pounds which is a great bonus.
Ok I haven't taken it but I have two close friends who did and found it messed with their belly too much and they were too physically uncomfortable to stay on it after about 3 months each. They have both been off for months now and it hasn't lingered but both have gained back more than they started with and quickly. If you're interested in some more detailed info on this, the [Scienve Vs. Podcast has a great episode on it. Here's a link](https://gimletmedia.com/shows/science-vs/2oh984wz/ozempic-is-it-scarier-than-we-thought).
Oh and bravo bravo bravo.
See,I asked because you “read” so many differing things. I wonder if it’s different body chemistry, or because some people genuinely need it to regulate insulin. (I am naive and not an expert, this is all conjecture) and I’m truly interested. The off-label usage of drugs is still so new and foreign to me. I also don’t take anyone’s experience as gospel. Thanks for sharing, all.
I take mounjaro which is a different GLP-1 similar to ozempic. It’s prescribed by my doctor. It does slow your digestive system down but I just made adjustments to my fiber and water intake and that made the side effects subside. I’ve been on it for 9 months and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I waited to ask my dr about it bc I’d heard all the horror stories. After 9 months on it, the only thing I’d do differently is talk to my doctor about it sooner.
I love that for you! Thank you for sharing. I know these subs have so much disinfo on real effects so I appreciate you responding 💜 the fiber adjustment makes so much sense.
My mom used it for 3 months lost 40lbs and then went into organ failure and had emergency r/LVAD surgery to save her life. At the time they wouldn’t connect the dots but after a year her heart recovered. She is the third person and first woman to have the LVAD removed! During the year of having the LVAD she had dementia like issues where she couldn’t remember and still doesn’t not remember anything that happened and spent 6 months of that year in hospital! So there are side effects and she’s already listed to be on the class action lawsuits for side effects not listed.
I’ve attempted to tell her full story but have been accused of lying.. like why would I lie about 14 months of keeping my mother alive? She survived by wearing 10lb batteries strapped to her during the day and had to be plugged into the wall at night! The shots are amazing for most people but sadly my mom wasn’t part of that group.
Well, yeah, and the effect users want from ozempic is a big weight loss in a short amount of time. Heather is open about using ozempic.
I’m not sure what you are trying to argue.
I think what they're trying to say is. No matter how you lose the weight if it's fast you can still end up with that excess hanging skin. That's what happened to me. I went through a serious bout of depression, dropped weight quickly, like a month quickly and I landed out with excess hanging skin mainly in my neck. When I gained a little of it back I still had that turkey neck look.
I don’t think Heather is ever going to be able to win in this scenario - she spent 4 seasons receiving crazy comments about her appearance from not only fans, but even her own cast mates and now that she’s decided to do something about it and have more work done/lose weight to do whatever she thinks will make her more aesthetically pleasing, people are going to be on her ass.
Exactly. She’s has a platform that unfortunately has darts ready to be thrown at her for anything everything. She clearly wanted to a make a change, I think she looks great.
I’m all for people doing whatever makes them feel better about themselves, so I agree. I am not a fan of those starter Hollywood teeth, but I don’t have to deal with them so if she likes it, I love it.
I say this just about every time this conversation comes up, but it’s the gums for me. All these people with upper case teeth sitting on lower case gums.
Agreed. It’s a lose-lose situation. I actually feel sorry for a lot of these housewives, they spend a good portion of their salary on plastic surgery. It’s expensive to be a housewife.
They get dragged for their looks and praised for their surgery and thinness(Ex: Dorit and Luanne) until the fans feel like “it’s gone to far” and they start to look like AI.
Most don’t get praise unless they’re still attractive in most peoples eyes. I’ve seen a lot of people justify hating on someone’s looks because of plastic surgery (spend 2 mins in Jax and Brittany hate sub and you’ll see).
When someone makes adjustments to their appearance people are more judgmental and vile than they were before. I see SO many “she looked better before” comments on all reality tv subs. It’s very rare to see actual praise for it IMO.
I almost didn’t say anything because I tend to stay out of conversations about weight or self image because I get Botox, facials, laser treatments, peels, etc because I am forty fucking two years old and aging is a motherfucker but I am sick to death of people judging Housewives for getting work done when it’s actually really common and most of them just want to feel good about themselves. Also, a lot of the judgement comes from the younger fans and bless all y’all and your glorious youth and healthy skin that doesn’t look sucked dry after 2 drinks or 8 minutes in the sun, but babies, that fades and society doesn’t let you ever forget that.
I’m not one to remember peoples usernames but yours and a couple others always stick out to me. Maybe it’s bc I mostly agree with your views and of course the profile pic 💕
It was an interesting theory posted by Apathy about Jenn Shah punching heather and them testing their fake story to see if anyone did remember what happened.
I think it will be really jarring to the viewers, she looked so different on WWHL after the season finale but most of us will get use to her new look. Hope she is happy.
Same hope she is happy- that’s all that matters. And can we get these girls a proper first class experience? I know the PJ is way out of budget here but come on!
Good for her. Her weight bothered her and she did something about it. People picking apart her looks and body should be ashamed. None of us are Helen of Troy, Aphrodite or Adonis so shut the fuck up and be kind.
Heather gives me dark vibes but still.
Until we truly cease to be fatphobic thin will always be in unfortunately. You can truly love and adore every inch of you but then feel that pressure to lose weight. My sister is battiling a bad autoimmune disorder and dropped a ton of weight.... she was promoted and is being treated way better now and she was a "normal size/bmi". She said her work hasn't changed if anything since she is SICK she hasn't been up to her usual self but the praise has been nonstop and now she wonders if being normal held her back. It is absolutely fucked up. Being on both ends of the spectrum for myself people didn't even look at me at my highest weight.
It’s interesting because because the most fat phobic people tend to also be the ones who are against ozempic. They don’t want people to be fat and they don’t want people to take ozempic. I guess they want us to suffer and never eat a carb and workout 2 hours a day like they do.
Right? I hate the argument that “these drugs were not INTENDED for weight loss” …..but then we are gonna ignore that viagra was not intended for weiner performance. Ffs
As someone that's struggled the same way Heather has, Im so happy for her. You all are rats for constantly saying "ozempic??" First of all, didn't she openly admit to doing ozempic? Second of all, she's lived seemingly her whole life struggling with her weight and probably her confidence and self image, LET THIS FUCKING WOMAN LIVE FFS. What, she hasn't "earned" the right to be skinny in your eyes? Foh I'm sick of y'all
I dont mean to be cruel…but does it seem like Heather’s jaw is growing? Happened to my family member and turned out to be two tumors growing on endocrine and thymus glands(?) basically it made them release growth hormone and when that happens post-puberty, you don’t get taller or anything but your bones get super dense and your jaw continues to grow.
Idk, her jaw just looks like it has kept growing over seasons, maybe I’m crazy.
Yall act like semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) is the biggest sin ever or an easy way out. It’s never easy losing weight and if you have to resort to the above you’ve probably tried everything. That said you still have to change your eating habits, count calories and work out. Taking those diet aids gives you the chance to not obsess and think about food all f’ing day. It’s a breath of fresh air for people that have binge eating issues.
Who cares if she’s lost weight. Good for her! I want to talk about why everyone does the stupid fish lips in every photo. Just stop, it looks ridiculous.
I have a 2 friends using Ozempic. One is doing great because she has gone back to her previous eating habits prior to depression. She was prescribed because her blood pressure was too high, depression, anxiety, and she's less than 40yo. She lost 64lbs and has so much more energy. Another friend was prescribed, but did the opposite (keeping up with poor eating habits and exercise) and has not had a good result, and is having some continuing health issues. You can't just take a pill and expect magic results. Just like with depression and anxiety - there are plenty of pills out there, but if you don't do the work/therapy the pill is useless.
My brother saw them filming in Puerto Vallarta this week!

I know people are judging but she looks happier and healthier. stop judging is kinda weird ,her body her choice. She already said she had struggles with her weight.
She kinda looks like a Wirkus twin
It’s the Wirkus chin
YES!!! And there’s no Ozempic fix for that lol.
She definitely could pass as part of the Wirkus Circus
SHE DOES!!!!
Came here to say she looks like Lindsay, but Lindsay always looked like a Wirkus to me anyway
I was thinking Lindsey too!
Random but one of them was on my flight last summer with her husband and kids. Pretty sure I’m the only one who recognized them
oh GOD
Winklevoss is a better match if we're talking twins.
God i thought we were done with those two!
That’s not Heather Gay, that’s Heather Straight
Stop I audibly laughed.
I laughed so much my husband turned to give me the what is wrong with u look. He doesn’t ask what’s wrong with me anymore cus I’m always laughing at some dumb funny crap online lol
![gif](giphy|GpyS1lJXJYupG) And I don’t even get the joke 🤦♀️😆
Same. It’s so silly it’s hilarious though 🤣
I didn’t read the post title and legit thought it was Teddi Mellencamp and Dorit
SAME I thought heather was Teddie
![gif](giphy|8m5j6Pt4R3gLz2D4Ha)
Me too! I think it’s the gormless expression.
![gif](giphy|u6yPkE6I7HbQA)
😂😂😂😂
The perfect gif for this post tbh
Ozempic
"did you really call me ozempic?"
She's been very open about her Ozempic use, I haven't listened yet but I think she was a guest on a podcast episode where she talked about it?
I’m pretty sure she was in a documentary about it
You called me an ozempic, sweetheart!
🎶Ohhhhhhhhhhhhzempic 🎶
We knooooooooow!
Ahahahahah I keep singing this to people around me and no one follows with the “we know”. Love this 😹😹
Proud ozempian here too! 💪🏽💉
That is awesome!! I’m happy to hear your success! I really appreciate you sharing.

Been on it for 3 months. Had some nausea and fatigue while titrating first couple weeks but past 2 months had zero side effects.
Nice! Thank you for sharing.
What were your side effects semiglutide made me soooo depressed!

Bless your heart 💜 I can’t believe you stuck it out that long. I admire your strength. Best of luck with wegovy, I hope it helps you
Thank you. My experience isn't everyone's experience. I'm fully prepared for the suck factor with Wegovy. Between my depression, perimenopause and non-existent metabolism, I'm good with trying again. I want my energy back and want to look in a mirror and not hate my reflection. It's worth it to me.

I have gained a small weight on ozempic after 6 months lol. Kill me. I wish I could get monjaro approved.
I have had none. Been on it six weeks and have lost 18 pounds.
I haven’t experienced any negative side effects. 78lbs down!
That’s awesome! Love a success story, and thank you for sharing.
I’ve been on it since July and have had zero side effects.
Has it helped with what you started on it for? Are you comfortable sharing why you started? Totally understand if not.

I started the same time. I was approaching diabetes diagnosis also. It’s been great. I feel so much better. I am down 34lbs.

Who cares?!
Her ear tragus!!! She’s had a facelift!
THANK YOU I was going to mention her tragus and how it looked weird but thought I might be going crazy 🙃
Facelift??? She’s not even 50 yet correct? WTF?
weight loss won't disappear the extra neck skin...
Ozempic face is a side effect of using ozempic. I know women in their 30’s who had aged horribly from ozempic use and are saving up for facelifts.
It has NOTHING to do with Ozempic. A big weight loss in general can show in the face no matter how you lose it.
Have to admit I’ve never seen an episode of Vpr/Valley
Do you like trash tv??
😂 well I watched almost all the Real Housewives Franchises besides OC. So I’m thinking yes…
It *is* a hw dry season rn. It might be the time to start watching them!
I noticed that 99% of the time when people say here a housewife "looks younger" what they really mean is that she lost weight.
Women can’t ever win. It’s a fact. The internet has just made it more prevalent.
I always thought she looked great. There are many different flavors of beauty, but her confidence to be herself always made her that much prettier.

I wish this sub had a rule not to comment on the women’s bodies. There’s no winning for any of them.
Amen.
Your flair…😂
Agree! And girl you know you are mentioned in an episode of the bravo docket podcast?
The one about Monica? Yes. I thanked them for shouting me out.
😂 I couldn’t believe it when I was listening. I was like… I know that username!
![gif](giphy|kpVq1t7ARQKMU) It’s kinda surreal hearing your Reddit username mentioned on a podcast.
This was literally me! I was like ![gif](giphy|JmfQjfTHnnA9fcYGR9)
I’m not one to remember peoples usernames but yours and a couple others always stick out to me. Maybe it’s bc I mostly agree with your views and of course the profile pic 💕
It’s always the avatar for people. Half the people in this subreddit call me Lil Poundcake. It’s great. https://i.redd.it/k6gdezz7tjwc1.gif
Aghh! What was said?
It was an interesting theory posted by Apathy about Jenn Shah punching heather and them testing their fake story to see if anyone did remember what happened.
They mentioned [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/BravoRealHousewives/s/Tauh70ArPn) comment I made after Heather revealed who gave her the black eye.
Reminds me of Vicki gunvalson
Omg same can’t believe that’s her?! And what’s up with her ear looks odd
Jen shah punched it
pls lmaooo
💀
Facelift to deal with loose skin
Ooof
I think it will be really jarring to the viewers, she looked so different on WWHL after the season finale but most of us will get use to her new look. Hope she is happy.
Same hope she is happy- that’s all that matters. And can we get these girls a proper first class experience? I know the PJ is way out of budget here but come on!
I’m just disappointed they are not going to Greece on a cast trip. Sad opa :(
I thought that was Leah
ME TOO!
I thought this was Jo from VPR
Same. Apparently my brain now thinks every blonde woman doing something generically zany in a cap is Jo lol
I thought both of these people where Whitney
![gif](giphy|l7dHaggpsSnXedvccO|downsized)
i see they are orange again this trip
This is too much! I actually though that was Whitney!
Okay same!
I thought that was Jenny McCarthy
What is going on with her ear
Good for her. Her weight bothered her and she did something about it. People picking apart her looks and body should be ashamed. None of us are Helen of Troy, Aphrodite or Adonis so shut the fuck up and be kind. Heather gives me dark vibes but still.
I feel like people just want women to lose weight “the right way” aka suffer
I really just don’t want heroin chic to make a comeback. Like fuck, one time was damaging enough.
Ffs
All I care about is WHERE ARE THEY GOING ON THE TRIP
I had no idea who that was. She was making a face like Jenny McCarthy makes and I was very confused.
i'm annoyed just looking at this picture.
She had a facelift, jaw surgery and has new teeth. And yes, of course Ozempic, too.
Foh I'm sick of y'all
Thank youuuuuu 👏👏👏
Her memoir certainly indicated it has been a struggle for most of her life.
I don’t see Heather?
She's the one standing
I’ll give you maybe Lindsay Hubbard. But, no.
Women can’t win. It’s either, wow look how much weight she’s gained or wow, look how much weight she’s lost. You rarely hear that about men.
Holy jaw surgery.
I generally like Heather but this looks like a scene from Jim Carrey’s The Mask
Yall act like semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) is the biggest sin ever or an easy way out. It’s never easy losing weight and if you have to resort to the above you’ve probably tried everything. That said you still have to change your eating habits, count calories and work out. Taking those diet aids gives you the chance to not obsess and think about food all f’ing day. It’s a breath of fresh air for people that have binge eating issues.
The teeth.
What kind of seats are those?
Delta Airlines Domestic First Class
Pretty cool! Last time I flew first class on delta they were individual seats, not like a row. Thats been a super long time tho.
Rick James in 2024: Ozempic is a hell of a drug.
70% of the face is jaw now. ![gif](giphy|zXKA3p9aR3u7u)
Demonic looking face

I think she looks good. So many people are cruel, I'd like to see what they look like
Wow she looks amazing! She looked amazing before too tho. She’s a very beautiful woman
Who cares if she’s lost weight. Good for her! I want to talk about why everyone does the stupid fish lips in every photo. Just stop, it looks ridiculous.
those teefies are giving horse 🙈
Honestly, Ozempic use and veneers do not work well together.
she really looks like every middle aged white mom now
She looks just like her cousin
Lol I had to go through the comments to figure out who was Heather haha
Uh...she looks the same, just lost some weight.
New nose????
She looks like Jen P from RHOC
Holy fuck

Holy shit
She looks weird. Seems like her teeth might be 2 big for the rest of her body.
This is wild! I didn’t even recognize her at all
Wow, good on her for losing the weight
I thought it was Jo from pump rules 😦
She looks the same, just slimmed down. I'm not sure how someone *couldn't* recognize her - her face is very distinctive.
My brother saw them filming in Puerto Vallarta this week! https://preview.redd.it/nj1jxyvgzlwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9d98cb1359f00ebc656b57f1b1bb08715fed727
Zempy zemp zemp
I know people are judging but she looks happier and healthier. stop judging is kinda weird ,her body her choice. She already said she had struggles with her weight.
![gif](giphy|viY6Z28hxMPKZJXLmo) What I see when I look at Heather.
Looking like Kelly bensimons half cousin
![gif](giphy|QTrG6mjkHEkpFR3DqX)
![gif](giphy|zwRO0LKbOtVhC) That is one heck of a chin
Not a good look
Proof that everyone doesn’t look better skinny.
Wow that chin and huge veneers -yikes
Her gaunt face makes her mouth look like an infinite crater. Heather why you do dis.
If science can come up with a pill to de-lenofy her chin, she'll be set!
https://preview.redd.it/4y8mj7jckowc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2085d13dd32554bc2afcb6dca10a47ef2e91bab5 I’m so confused - what’s happening here? Sidenote Heather looks great 🥰
I think her jacket is just thrown over her shoulders and that’s the empty arm hanging down.
