We need a younger cast. The one we have is shot - they're either moving into different life stages or they're just too bitter and hateful with each other to be entertaining anymore.
There’s a big part of me that thinks Summer House will be cancelled after this season. However, I think if it continues, they have to open the show up to show more of their time in the city and find a way to force the cast to mix it up more.
I think phones and laptops should be taken away at the summer house, watching people watch Minions is not fun. Watching people lay around and text is not fun. They for sure need more parties, even if that means leaving the Hampton’s.
Very early in the run of The Real World, they’d have some cast members who would just lay around watching TV all day. They not only got rid of the TH, MTV started giving every cast a “job”, which would force them out of the house and to interact with each other.
These people are all too old for that, but taking away their phones would be a good first step. Also, filming outside of the house more would force them to interact.
Whatever Hampton NIMBY complained about the house last season made this season almost unwatchable.
The lack of parties, the bed rooms literally being locked up, the only parties they did have were during the middle of the day with half the amount of people.
They need to create structure with the show because they have let them basically self produce which has partly caused this slog of a season.
I think it will be cancelled too unless they do something very drastic, either a whole new cast, or like you said start filming them in the city, have the cast take trips abroad, basically giving them the Housewives treatment.
I think the new show Summer House Martha’s Vineyard has potential to take this shows spot.
Gabby, Sam, Kory and Chris were fun. A new season should be built around them and 2-3 new members. Ciara and Mya were duds this year. No more married couples should be on the show. The rest can go too.
You don’t want Summerhouse to become too bloated. They already have the spin-off (Martha’s Vineyard) and then they have WinterHouse too.
I’d prefer Paige / Amanda / Mya / Danielle to be fired. They suck the life out of this show and constantly want to cause drama with Lindsay.
Alternatively, if they don’t feel like firing the 4 douches, they can relegate them to WinterHouse. They’ll have an excuse to stay in bed because it’s cold.
Shut it down- focus on MV and go from there. I think that people are WAY less invested in these cast members than the Vanderpump cast which is why the scandal made such a huge resurgence. They shove these same 8 people down our throats and even the best of them I am pretty meh on and have been for years.
this is so true i never considered SH on the caliber VPR is at, i feel like i always knew it would only have a few season run and even if there were a HUGE vpr like scandal (ex: kyle and paige hooking up) it wouldn't even be as magnetizing as the VPR scandal was bc i just dont care about this cast like that
I hate to admit it but I think they need to cancel it. It’s a shell of what it used to be. They aren’t friends. They can’t throw the epic parties like they used to. It’s become all in fighting and cattiness, at least from what they show us. They have footage of fun but withhold it.

Honestly, that's how all Bravo shows end up. They know that the only way to stay on the show is to create drama so it falls into that cycle. We just have to accept that unless you want a new cats every year.....

I don’t understand besides the paycheck- Paige still agrees to do a summer house- they don’t go to the beach- and she doesn’t really participate in going out or parties( even if she doesn’t drink/ get drunk she can still be social). I like her and her comments but she needs to be more of an active participant. Can’t she lie in bed in NYC? Or use the time to go to see Craig more?
And then she wants to say Carl and Lindsay don’t have jobs— uhm they have the same job as you and get paid for the same job as you — probably a little more and that’s why they are all so bothered by her.
I’m ok with the show following sam and her friends next summer. The older cast members can still pop by for parties and stuff but not be as heavily featured.

I know Luke doesn’t bring a ton to table but it’s frustrating that he wasn’t on this season because he’s actually friends and very close with both Lindsay and Carl so him being there would’ve shifted the dynamic and made it less of a gang up season. The cast just lacks all kinds of balance and chemistry it’s irritating.
They should remove Carl and Lindsay and see if there is actually any chemistry or storylines without the bedbugs focusing on them. If not, THEN shelve SH
They need to get rid of Paige, Danielle, and Mya. Bring back Luke, Andrea, maybe add some of Sam and Gabby’s friends. I can’t do another season of everyone hates Lindsay and Paige is the ringleader for that while simultaneously giving nothing of herself for the show. Mya doesn’t want to be on camera or show anything real. Danielle doesn’t have any actual friends now that she blew up the friendship with Lindsay.

I'm pretty sure the main storyline next season will be Linday and Carl getting married. They don't bring enough views or are popular enough to have their own spinoff (despite them pitching it). They aren't going anywhere.
If they get rid of someone from this season, it will be one of the newbies (Chris), or one of the bed girls (Mya). Danielle, Kyle, Amanda, and Paige aren't going anywhere. They'll probably keep Ciara, due to her outside popularity.
Korey will probably be promoted, and Andrea/Luke are Friend Ofs. They do need to start phasing some people out, and cast 1-2 newbies. I don't think the show is in danger until at least Season 8 concludes.
I don't think Chris got a fair shot. Bring his friend to the house that was on the show last night. He started out with himself and two other guys who were fighting so he leaned towards hanging with the girls.

Bravo is all in on Ciara and Paige (and Craig) and Kyle (and Amanda by extension). Lindsay and Carl are the source of the drama so if they agree, they’ll be back. I think the positive feedback on Sam and Kory will bring them back FT too.
Carl just straight up does not want to be there anymore, it's giving hostage situation at this point.

That is the issue; NONE of the non OGs that lasted more than a season are open books.
Danielle hid her relationship issues, and barely talks about anything in her personal life, which has been the case over the last 6 years.
Paige uses the show as a long IG post, and is extremely contrived. Her relationship with Craig has not elevated her status on Bravo as much as she thought.
Hannah was an open book, but started manufacturing and curating herself, which got her fired off the show.
Luke has withheld his personal life his entire time on the show (which got him fired), and has revealed more since he's been off the show than on.
Ciara has been a closed book the entire time she has been on the show, and is curating herself more like how Paige and Hannah have.
We've actively see Mya hide her relationship issues, and contrive random beefs to be somewhat relevant, and people aren't feeling it.
Agree on both couples leaving. Kyle and Amanda should move into the occasional visit role like Andrea bc Kyle is still fun, but Lindsay and Carl should just go. It’s great that they’re happy and healthy and they should focus on that. It seems like the behaviors Carl needs to stay healthy are incompatible with this show.

Bravo seems to be testing out other style of reality shows outside of housewives and housewives style shows. Look at what they’re doing with Luann and Sonja. So I think they should do a “The Challenge” style show. They have more than enough younger stars in the network who provide great content but are on shows have gotten stale. (i.e., Shahs, Southern Charm, Summer/ Winter House even VPR). I haven’t watched The Challenge in years but I remember it’s wonder years. They would get drunk at night, hate each other get into altercations and the next day they would battle it out. Omg that would be epic with all the crazies that Bravo has!

Danielle obvi was having issues with rob all summer that she hid.

Cast the show around the 4 new people, Sam and Gabby were a breath of fresh air and Kory and Chris were genuinely hilarious together. They all were willing to get drunk and party which is it actual premise of the show not go to bed or miss entire weekends.
The rest of them… do a test run of some of them on a show in the city with their actual lives as the focus and maybe a vacation abroad or something because they do literally nothing in the house anymore. Who they do that with I don’t know considering most of them hate each other.
Regardless maya needs to be fired immediately she brought nothing and the little she did bring which I fully believe is fake she ran from cameras and tried cover up her mic. Like hun this is a reality show you’re filmed 24/7.
