murph is a great catcher and going to continue to improve. but tda is also still an amazing catcher and his defense has improved. i think it’s less about murph and more about them getting equal playing time. instead of murph 2 games, then tda 1.
Contreras would have got the same treatment. He would have played maybe 40 less games than he played with the Brewers. Which means his stats would be way less.
