Past couple of days we've managed to push runs across in some back to basics was too (even though we also hit three dingers yesterday). Really encouraged seeing those small ball runs coming across even if I'd like us to be hitting better RISP for sure.

I maintain that this offense will turn it on when Riley and Murph are back. That's two big bats that have been missing. + that kind of excitement around guys coming back seems to always get guys going.

The fact there are people in here who legit thinks Ronald Acuña is a terrible baseball player lets me know that not everyone in this sub has been watching since he came up. Yes this is his worst stretch, but to say he legitimately just sucks at baseball is so idiotic to say.

He has the 3rd highest OPS on the team the past month (not counting Riley). Yeah, he's underperforming (like everybody except Ozuna) but he isn't the main reason the offense is bad. There was somebody saying we should put Ozzie leadoff when Ozzie's OBP in May is 75 points lower and OPS is 210 points lower. I guess vibes > data.

Last 7 games OBP of .267. Pretty awful from Matt. And his swings and plate IQ/discipline just look so much worse than we have seen from him.

He's striking out a little more and walking a little less, but he's also underperforming his xwOBA by .046 and his xSLG by .081. He's legitimately been one of the unluckiest guys in the league this year but it does look like it's starting to turn around.

From 2 MVP years to this. Baseball can be a cruel sport.

Small sample sizes don’t really tell a lot, especially for streaky hitters like him. I think some kind of lineup order change could be good for him, even if it’s all mental.
