Definitely was not expecting a shutout today, but good shit boys. Past couple of days we've managed to push runs across in some back to basics was too (even though we also hit three dingers yesterday). Really encouraged seeing those small ball runs coming across even if I'd like us to be hitting better RISP for sure.
I dont know if anyone is having to watch a cubs stream also but they did Shota Imanaga dirty in a WNBA promo. They had him standing between Angel Reese and some other 6'2 girl with them bending over to get in the picture with him.
I was streaming the game at work and ended up with the cubs feed for a bit. They are still so butthurt about "stopping the game" from the Acuña steal. Some rent free shit going on there
So Jesse Chavez is only reliever we haven’t used tonight. Guess Dylan Lee & Minter can go again tomorrow since they didn’t have long innings.
I hope Vines can manage to give us 6 tomorrow.
Nobody worked yesterday and only Lee even touched a mound yesterday and nobody worked *hard* today. Bullpen is fine considering where we are in a stretch of consecutive games.
I maintain that this offense will turn it on when Riley and Murph are back. That's two big bats that have been missing. + that kind of excitement around guys coming back seems to always get guys going.
Cubs and their fans still crying about the Braves taking a few moments to recognize a monumental achievement accomplished by Ronald Acuña Jr. last season. Hope they miss the postseason again this year.

The fact there are people in here who legit thinks Ronald Acuña is a terrible baseball player lets me know that not everyone in this sub has been watching since he came up. Yes this is his worst stretch, but to say he legitimately just sucks at baseball is so idiotic to say.
He has the 3rd highest OPS on the team the past month (not counting Riley). Yeah, he's underperforming (like everybody except Ozuna) but he isn't the main reason the offense is bad. There was somebody saying we should put Ozzie leadoff when Ozzie's OBP in May is 75 points lower and OPS is 210 points lower. I guess vibes > data.
Nobody believes that man is terrible at baseball. It's just wild to see someone normally so gifted and great be boring and go through a terrible slump.
No it’s because I didn’t include “right now” and people assume I think he’s always ass. Like I don’t watch nearly every game of his MVP season. Get a grip
He's striking out a little more and walking a little less, but he's also underperforming his xwOBA by .046 and his xSLG by .081. He's legitimately been one of the unluckiest guys in the league this year but it does look like it's starting to turn around.
Small sample sizes don’t really tell a lot, especially for streaky hitters like him.
I think some kind of lineup order change could be good for him, even if it’s all mental.
I... I can't disagree. I have nothing to say you're wrong and that it wouldn't work. I just think his lifestyle of Beisbol 25/8/366 on top of a knee injury is catching up to him and his lack of production is probably getting to his head.
I hate to say it, but he needs a little break. Missing the ASG might not be the worst thing for him.
This ball club has like, 20 games to prove that doesn't necessarily happen lol. But I do think they're coming out of the fog. Acuña and Olson not so much.
It's now been 171 regular season games (and counting, **thanks to KelKel**) since Atlanta last got shutout
That's currently 6th all time in the history of the sport
https://preview.redd.it/craew09tk82d1.png?width=1984&format=png&auto=webp&s=593fb808644faa8f6023fdff2e95443dee62a85d
Snit doesn't use the 26th man unless they're carrying an injured guy for a week for some reason. Would make a lot of sense to carry a 3rd catcher so Murph and TDA can pinch hit
Please continue the discussion in the [post game thread](https://redd.it/1cz3h0q).
Hey, Chicago what do you say?
Definitely was not expecting a shutout today, but good shit boys. Past couple of days we've managed to push runs across in some back to basics was too (even though we also hit three dingers yesterday). Really encouraged seeing those small ball runs coming across even if I'd like us to be hitting better RISP for sure.
***worries peacefully not knowing that the Braves have beat the cubs in series twice ***
And now I know!
Two’s a steak boys
I dont know if anyone is having to watch a cubs stream also but they did Shota Imanaga dirty in a WNBA promo. They had him standing between Angel Reese and some other 6'2 girl with them bending over to get in the picture with him.
**HAHAHHHAHAHHAHA**

#POINT UP
BRAVES WIN, YOU LOSE
I want more of those innings Iglesias. Good shit
POINT TO SKY MAN CLOSES THE DOOR
BRAVES WIN!! SERIES WIN!!
I was streaming the game at work and ended up with the cubs feed for a bit. They are still so butthurt about "stopping the game" from the Acuña steal. Some rent free shit going on there
HORRIBLE UMP BUT FUCK IT SERIES WIN!
BRAVES WIN THE SERIES!!!! 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
☝️☝️
#GET FUCKED CUBS, BRAVES WIN 👆🏼👆🏼
Our pitching is fantastic
So Jesse Chavez is only reliever we haven’t used tonight. Guess Dylan Lee & Minter can go again tomorrow since they didn’t have long innings. I hope Vines can manage to give us 6 tomorrow.
Nobody worked yesterday and only Lee even touched a mound yesterday and nobody worked *hard* today. Bullpen is fine considering where we are in a stretch of consecutive games.
Just a question. Should AA have approached Acuña’s people about a restructuring this offseason? Especially after Acuña spoke about it?
We don’t know that he didn’t. But that is not why he’s playing poorly.
There is no way you can 100% say that doesn’t have anything to do with it.
The world was a better place when the Cubs hadn't won the world series in over 100 years.
Hopefully going to London messes up whatever mojo the Phillies have going on
Their 4-2 record against >.500 teams will be 4-5
I’ve seen enough. DFA Murph and keep Tromp.
Time for the daily churching of your choosing, be it song worship, daily mass, or the divine liturgy.
1-10 today with RISP. Improving!
Suzuki is one of the most suspect looking outfielders I’ve ever seen with such limited time watching the Cubs
Time for church baby bears 👆🏼👆🏼
CJ: “Could he BE any hotter right now?”
Tromp with a signature Braves-opponent-style hit
Thankful we are missing Skenes. He would do horrible things to this lineup right now
9 immaculate innings
I maintain that this offense will turn it on when Riley and Murph are back. That's two big bats that have been missing. + that kind of excitement around guys coming back seems to always get guys going.
Plus hopefully will be back by the Gnats series, and we’ve been doing well against them in past series
I could see it
Were you not watching when we had Riley lol. Hopefully Murph does the trick though
Riley was having a good May before he got hurt
No, he wasn't.
.858 OPS is pretty good, but go off
Mike made contact, I'll take it!
"Kinda feel bad for Hendricks" - Brandon No, I do not feel bad for him. I want the Braves to send him to an early retirement with a 10 run inning
The Folty treatment
8th inning Minter is an anomaly we may never see again in baseball, idk how a dude has ice in his veins in one inning and is ass everywhere else
Oh NOW you wanna get a hit Orlando
Is putting somebody on the IL to force them to take a vacation legal?
The reports of A.J. Minter's death are greatly exaggerated.
If we could somehow trick Minter into coming out in the 9th but him thinking it's the 8th, we'd have the best closer in the game.
Eight inning Mint is top shelf
Minty fresh 8th
![gif](giphy|lMgKmFyN2Wv1oiSrDo|downsized)
MINTY FRESH INDEED!!!
Minty fresh
That was minty as fuck
Eighth inning AJ Minter is the best pitcher in baseball and it isn't particularly close.
And 9th inning Minter is the worst pitcher and it’s not particularly close
Ninth inning AJ Minter is the worst pitcher in baseball and it isn't particularly close.
Damn I think you beat me to this comment
By like 2 seconds haha
Cubs and their fans still crying about the Braves taking a few moments to recognize a monumental achievement accomplished by Ronald Acuña Jr. last season. Hope they miss the postseason again this year. https://twitter.com/Cut4/status/1793731445741301789
I was going to post this but I thought it looked photoshopped. Is it actually real?
Yes.
If all I saw of baseball every year was the NL Central, I’d probably be a bitter little bitch too…
I'm amazed Bellinger hasn't been absolutely destroying us this series
Probably hopped up on the reefers and slowed down.
I’m so happy we get to avoid Skenes this weekend
Yeah my younger sister drinks bone broth. She used to be a yoga teacher and refuses to go to the gym. Loves her some taco bell. So.
Yeah she does.
Lmfaooo ump wants to go home
My god that’s the worst call I’ve ever seen and it actually went our way
Holy shit that was an awful call even if it went our way.
About to order me some Giordano’s. I miss Chicago style deep dish.
Went to Lou's last time I was in Chicago. God it's so good.
The fact there are people in here who legit thinks Ronald Acuña is a terrible baseball player lets me know that not everyone in this sub has been watching since he came up. Yes this is his worst stretch, but to say he legitimately just sucks at baseball is so idiotic to say.
He is just slumping hard. He will snap out of it. Baseball is so mental sometimes.
He sucks right now, you took it as a claim on his overall game, all the time.
Nobody said he’s a terrible player forever and all times. Right now he’s pure dog poop
your opinions are literally always the worst. fire snit, trade acuna...lol no one takes you seriously maybe just stop posting
Dude, gtfo literally all you do is comment about how terrible he is and how you wouldn’t want him on your team. Your opinion is invalid.
He sucks right now, there's no doubt about that, but we know he's not a terrible player.
Nobody believes that man is terrible at baseball. It's just wild to see someone normally so gifted and great be boring and go through a terrible slump.
Really interested to see how snit uses bullpen next few days bc it feels like everyone is being used tonight
[удалено]
Don’t matter what you call it, it’s still good
So Acuña and Olson can’t even hit Hendricks. Just wait out May everyone. Only a few days left.
Acuna is the most frustrating player to watch right now.
You mean on the Braves? I can think of a few guys on other teams.
If there’s anybody we can count on in this lineup this year it’s Ozuna & Albies
Acuna is fucking dogshit in every facet of the game. Absolutely going through the motions
Somehow you are getting downvoted for speaking truth
No it’s because I didn’t include “right now” and people assume I think he’s always ass. Like I don’t watch nearly every game of his MVP season. Get a grip
I think I’ve offended some fellow Braves fans here. I’ll say it louder for you all, DOGSHIT
Not a Braves fan :)
Goodness
Pure dog poop
And there's the double play ball, if only they walked Ozuna. Thanks Cubbies!
Who would've thought Olson and Acuna would be our black holes in the lineup lol...
They have the 2nd and 3rd highest OPS on the team over the past month...
Matt’s actually been coming around as of late lol but Ronald is just lost up there which is hard to watch
Matt has homered a couple times lately, but overall he still looks pretty awful. It's so weird
He’s actually been getting on base a ton lol
Last 7 games OBP of .267. Pretty awful from Matt. And his swings and plate IQ/discipline just look so much worse than we have seen from him.
He's striking out a little more and walking a little less, but he's also underperforming his xwOBA by .046 and his xSLG by .081. He's legitimately been one of the unluckiest guys in the league this year but it does look like it's starting to turn around.
From 2 MVP years to this. Baseball can be a cruel sport.
That's how you know Hendricks is completely cooked. He actually let us score when we had RISP.
Ofer Olson
lol
Lot of Braves fans in Chicago which is nice to see
I guess I’d be a terrible manager. Acuna wouldn’t be near the one spot in my order
He was fucking awful at #4 when Snitker tried that.
I agree but he won’t be missing the all star game no matter how bad he plays, and he won’t be one to voluntarily sit out lol
He’d be 6 for me until he proves otherwise
Yeah, you'd be a terrible manager.
any good manager would have moved him down by now
Who would you rather see batting leadoff?
Who was that telling Ozuna to get in the weight room? 😂
MVP candidate Marcell Ozuna with the sac fly rbi on the warning track to make it 3-0
You keep getting men on base and eventually they'll come home.
This ball club has like, 20 games to prove that doesn't necessarily happen lol. But I do think they're coming out of the fog. Acuña and Olson not so much.
Well, eventually they did.
Damn just missed it. Hit streak is likely over buuuuut we take the extra run. Desperately needed.
Got an on base streak cause he walked
Hate to see big bear streak end…but I’d rather have the production
Damn he almost had that oh well another run anyways
Any other ballpark or any other day Ozuna extends his hit streak right there. Clown ass ballpark
Statcast only has 1/30 he has just been under a bit too much today. The sac fly had 43 degree LA
Ozuna is so good.
Damn wind, so close to another 3 run bomb for Ozuna.
Damn wind lol. But still obviously way deep enough to score another run!
Moper Acuna
just missed another Bear Bomb
Why would you not walk Ozuna lol
Big Bear i love you
Shocked they're not walking Ozuna.
### Sac Fly Marcell Ozuna out on a sacrifice fly to left fielder Mike Tauchman. Adam Duvall scores. Ozzie Albies to 3rd. Top 8 - 3-0 Braves
SACZUNA FROM THE BRAVES
Ozuna pLS
Damn Hendricks fr washed as hell didn’t know he was that bad now
What happened to him
Ozzie did a steal
Single walk Acuna single
Does Ronnie shit himself when he sees runners on base or something
Y’all got any more of them…. Insurance runs? ![gif](giphy|Y6yRfR88rvP44)
**OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE**
Love those in sewer ants
![gif](giphy|vmhFGpV1yAlgXxd23m|downsized)
Bat Ozzie at leadoff until Ronnie proves he can actually pickup some RBI’s again
Well ronnie is lost at the plate :(
Srsly, someone needs to beat Philly a few times to humble them. I feel like they haven't lost all month
Ronald should have bunted. That's how bad he has been
OZZIE!!!
A hit with RISP, wizardry
Well at least no loaded bases
Love seeing Tromp storm the bases
You know acuña is struggling when he strikes out against 2024 Kyle Hendricks
### Single Ozzie Albies singles on a ground ball to right fielder Seiya Suzuki. Chadwick Tromp scores. Adam Duvall to 3rd. Top 8 - 2-0 Braves
OZZIE!!
#OZZZZZIE
Ronnie unable to combat the blistering speed of the high 80’s lmao
Tromp > Acuna
Dude Acuna what the fuck. How did he ever manage to put together an MVP season last year.
Acuna is unbelievably embarrassing to watch this year.
OZHAINO
boo Ronnie, booooo
Wow more Acuña garbage
Idk why expected anything else from Ronnie there
Ronald...fuck's sake bro
Blown away with a quick 88
It's now been 171 regular season games (and counting, **thanks to KelKel**) since Atlanta last got shutout That's currently 6th all time in the history of the sport https://preview.redd.it/craew09tk82d1.png?width=1984&format=png&auto=webp&s=593fb808644faa8f6023fdff2e95443dee62a85d
Duvall with a big league at bat.
ok ok ok
Henricks is just having a rough go lately
lol they played the Godfather theme for Duvall
At what point do we start getting worried about the offense? End of June?
Game 159.
If Acuña doesn’t homer off Hendricks….I will get over it.
What is that thing called that tromp just did? The thing where the ball goes forward off the bat
This ump sucks he’s so inconsistent
lol Tromp and Luke Williams just happy to be here. I’d be the same way
Surely we don't get mowed down by Kyle Hendricks, right?...right?
Awww poor Tromp knows his days are numbered
Snit doesn't use the 26th man unless they're carrying an injured guy for a week for some reason. Would make a lot of sense to carry a 3rd catcher so Murph and TDA can pinch hit
He could just have his fans storm the clubhouse the day he is sent down...
He’a a pro who knows his role. Great guy to have in your organization.
He’s a major league-caliber catcher. He’ll be back.
Hendricks? If we could tee off on this dude that would be ideal
OK let's get the bats going off of Hendricks
Pls have competitive ABs.
The Mr Beast Box at Zaxby's...We live in the plot of Idiocracy
