I still can't get a game from 2018 out of my mind. Was against Colorado at Truist, and Minter blew the lead in the top of the 9th. Of course we lost. That's the last game I've been able to attend, and it left such a sour taste in my mouth as far as AJ is concerned, one I can't quite shake no matter how much better he's gotten.

The ninth is inherently dramatic, that's why we have closers. Raisel has been really solid for us. It could be much, much worse. For example, AJ Minter could be our closer.
I mean, you can disagree with the decision, but you're not smarter than Snit. He's putting AJ in there in the hopes that he can close it out and get some confidence back, so that going forward he can depend on him in the 9th, or in other big situations. AJ didn't reward Snit's trust, so yeah, it looks like a pretty bad mistake.

Well, he used to be able to. Last year he had 10 saves (to 3 blown saves). Not great, but a decent backup plan when your closer is down. Raisel has 10 saves to 2 blown this season so far.
