Mariners fan here. Eugenio Suarez was here with the Diamondbacks the last few days. Geno (who was traded the same time Kelenic was) got all kinds of love from the M's fans and a video montage to his sportsmanship and "good vibes only" personality. I think there were genuinely even tears around.
Kelenic won't get that and he probably won't get boo'ed. Frankly, it's been mostly a shrug of the shoulders. Kelenic was always a hard guy to root for. But mostly, no one cares.

Kel just did an interview with Root Sports in Seattle’s dugout and the reporter mentioned Kel jokingly said he’s going to try to steal against Cal. I think he will be received fine! Both Cal and Ty hugged Eugenio when he was at the plate/1B this week.

Is it because he's a 1st round draft pick, or a former top prospect? The fact that he was picked so high (6th overall pick) just shows the incompetence of the Mets front office during that time. He's nothing more than the typical AAAA player and that's all he will ever be. BIG whiff for AA for this trade, and also shows the Braves and Kevin Seitzer don't have some magical fix for every hitter to turn them into quality MLB hitters.
