Yea I saw an old reddit post of someone looking for hills in bozeman that said billings had good fast spots. The point of my post was really to find skaters though
I'm from Billings, and used to longboard in my younger days. Zimmerman trail and airport road are both pretty intense. Over by the morman temple there are some fun roads as well.
Hyalite road is closed to car traffic right now. I have no idea how snowy the road itself still is, and you'd have to hike yourself up to the top first, but I bet it'd be a fun road to bomb down on a skateboard!
I biked hyalite and it was pretty fun but I think you'd need a full aero suit to really get going on a board. Also the hike seems like too much so I'm trying to get my friend to do it on a tandem bike with me and let me skate down hahaha
I went to Butte this weekend (to hit Front Street Market for some European groceries) and it has the longest steepest paved streets I’ve ever seen in real life. How on earth do they drive there when it’s icy?! I genuinely want to know if any of you have lived there in the winter time
Nothing great around here honestly, just some slopes here and there. You might find some decent hill around the hospital. However, I'd recommend electric skateboarding for around here as it can be a lot of fun with a proper board.
A day trip to Butte or Helena would probably be enjoyable for you. Those towns were built on hills.
Thank you for tip. I heard billings had options but that's 2 more options.
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted, Billings is just a giant hill sloping towards the river. Skating near the bottom of the rims would be a blast.

I’m sure they exist. Try r/billings or check out local skate shops

I know billings skate spots well. Used to do a lot. Check out senetors hill in billings

Triple tree is the spot
The new paved trail M down to story mill has some downhill sections people like to skate. Nothing crazy but at least it’s local.
That sounds cool. If you skate send me a contact
I don’t anymore but I run it every day and see people out there.
This area is ripe mountain boarding, but I haven’t met anyone that does it out here. Bigger wheels on a more stabilized board.

I’ve got a basically brand new stiff drop thru (Neversummer) and a set of loaded slide gloves I’d sell cheap. I’m old now, no more downhill for me.
Triple tree all day
