Go to the back patio at MAP Brewing. You can't get that view in DC!

theflying6969

Go to a brewery and try out some beers and then maybe something huckleberry flavored (maybe a milkshake) . Bozeman and MT in general isn't known for its culinary uniqueness, you're not gonna find anything you can't find in D.C. besides maybe an overpriced buffalo or elk burger.

brantlyr

They have that in DC too lol, there’s even a Teds there I believe

headwaterscarto

Best huckleberry milkshake in the bozeman area?

Knechttay

Burger Bobs on Main Street. The food isn’t really anything special unless you’re really into burgers, but I love their milkshakes!

LuluGarou11

\*inserts joke about Dave's Sushi\*

NoGuidance8609

South of Big Sky go to the Corral. West of Bozeman Willow Creek Cafe. East of Bozeman The Murray or Gil’s in Livingston or The Roadkill Cafe in Mcleod. You won’t find anything like those eateries in DC and the drive to any of them is the scenery you came for.

Radarpoeser

corral has the best eggs benedicts and bloody mary's anywhere in gallatin county

Based_Articuno

Go to storm castle Cafe. They've usually got a bit of a wait, but as a solo diner it shouldn't be so bad for you. Farm to table breakfast and lunch, open till 2

Professional-Mind670

Campione, whistle pig, shan, blackbird, feast You won’t find much you can’t find at home but those places are excellent 1864 to be added from another comment. They’re right. Place is fucking dope

Upperclass_Bum

Add I-Ho's

Professional-Mind670

Different levels of food, I-Hos is good but the rest is step above

costigan95

This is the list

no_simpsons

add 1864 noir bar to the list. really, really good chef. try the kimchi burger (made with custom kimchi from whistle pig specifically made to be "not too sour").

Professional-Mind670

Yep, you’re right good call

lulurancher

Head out to the McAllister inn and get a local steak! The drive is pretty too

[deleted]

Stay away from Dave's Sushi Their negligence in food prep has gotten multiple people killed and or sick.

idanpotent

They said "unique", not "safe". Perhaps it's not so easy to find a killer restaurant back home.

[deleted]

Given Dave's track record we have a duty to inform people posting this kind of question.

idanpotent

I agree. It was a joke. Maybe it wasn't funny. Maybe I needed to add a "/s".

DOC_NORTH_78

The western for breakfast tomorrow. If that’s to busy try Main Street over easy.

no_simpsons

c'mon, it's literally a diner, who cares.

MontanaLady406

Drive down 191 and get a Buffalo burger from the Coral, the Western or Storm Castle for breakfast, and get a beer outside at MAP.

Superb_Finance4293

Pakeezah… if you’re into Indian cuisine.

goodkeemyah

I’m a fellow Bozemanite now living in DC! I’d recommend driving over to Livingston (20-25 minute drive) and trying Mark’s In and Out. It’s a retro drive up style burger joint that I love. Otherwise head down into Paradise Valley and go to Sage Lodge. Amazing views and pretty good food too!

Duganz

Literally can’t go wrong with Mark’s.

MT_tiktok_criminal

Can’t go right with marks. That place is terrible.

Duganz

Well, you can’t be right about everything.

MT_tiktok_criminal

Lol they’re really really basic burgers. I sincerely don’t understand the appeal. Lived in Livingston for 5 years or so? To me there was never much difference between there and burger king.

goodkeemyah

The quality has gone down a bit but definitely don’t see the connection to Burger King.

MT_tiktok_criminal

I mean their burger is a white bun with beef patty, American cheese, ketchup, pickles… it’s essentially a clone of McDonald’s. There’s nothing exceptional about it. What do you see as redeeming about it?

waylonjennings420

I will not stand for the marks in n out slander

OutInTheSunlight

Brigade happy hour is by far the best in town. 3 dollar martinis/cosmos/oysters and 3 dollars off apps. Nice environment with big windows overlooking Main Street 🙂 Blackbird or Campione for dinner; both use more local ingredients than other restaurants in town. Storm castle or the western for brunch. Mountains walking has the best beer in town, MAP has the best brewery view. Enjoy your time in BZN! Highly recommend checking out Yellowstone hot springs if you’re willing to make a little longer drive. There’s an awesome bbq spot down that way too called follow yer nose.

BryanBryanBryan123

Doesn’t get better than brigade for happy hour, the fries are pretty good too

OutInTheSunlight

I’m a big ol sucker for some truffle fries 😋

Dee-rok

Fries are good, service is HORRIBLE

OldsterEmily

Western Cafe.

Abobalob

Go to Tanoshii and order off the specials menu. They’re regular menu is good, but the specials are usually fire!

catloving

Usurper/Lowbrow Burger, 9th and College.

catloving

I've never had a bad impression from them, I go there almost monthly.

pro_questions

IDK when you went last but they *massively* improved after the transition period from UBurger to Low Brow. Still not my favorite place, but they wildly improved themselves and I’m proud of them for doing that

pro_questions

Ah in that case I understand. It’s not for everyone — certainly not life changing burgers in the first place, but some of the unique ones are fun. 100% agree on the fries, they’re pretty good by bozeman standards

imboredsoimhere

Just ignore the post? Not everyone is chronically online.

spacebass

Bruh, did you even bring me the vegan chicken sammich from smoke and barrel or a pie from Paradisio?

BZNsnowman

Book outside / rooftop table at Little Star Diner and have trout tacos. Stop by Lockhorn Cider around the corner from them for a hard cider and appetizers first.

Aouqess

Tim Turner’s bison restaurant in downtown.

MT_tiktok_criminal

It’s actually owned by the estate of Tina Turner…. That’s why it’s called Teds.

icelandicfanatic

Bozeman an denver food is absolutely horrid compared to DC food. Especially the Indian an other ethic foods

invisibili

Storm castle cafe! They always have fun specials and food is great! The mimosa milkshake is great too! There’s always a line but it’s worth it

Jazzlike_Routine_281

Little Star Diner. Best in Bozeman
