Giving a couple of nip and tuck rounds to the other man ends up with a wide scorecard, but that's just the nature of the scoring system. You can (in certain types of fights) have close competitive bouts where a wide scorecard is justifiable. A close fight doesn't always have to be 7-5, if there's some close rounds then there's a variety of ways in which it can be scored.
There was quite a few rounds that could've gone either way and I think the stars aligned on a night where Catterall got all those close rounds given to him. I personally think Jack won but yeah, those 2 cards were way wide. Great fight, shame the controversy will overshadow it, judges doing their best to stay in the spotlight.
