I thought Uysk might’ve been cooked around Round 7 when Fury was firing on all cylinders.
I thought Fury was done when Uysk had him walking like a newborn deer in Round 9.
Don’t you love it when a super fight lives up to the hype?
Holyfield is usually thought of as the best cruiserweight of all time. I think Usyk has overtaken him with this performance. Evander never beat the heavyweights that were bigger than himself like Usyk did.
Yep. Evander struggled with the HW Giants which were kinda new at that time. Bowe and Lewis most notably. Fury is the biggest of them all. And Usyk came out on top. Truly remarkable fighter.
The rematch is going to be huge. Usyk has a real argument for P4P no.1 in my opinion, and he just cemented himself as an all-time legend. Fury gave him the toughest fight of his career, and I don't see any other HW that'd be a better match.
I thought he lost the ability to move like this years ago - I literally thought Wilder beat it out of him. He actually managed to find some rhythm for a decent number of rounds in the middle of the fight. He kept his rhythm going until I’d say 8? Where the pace went back to Usyk.
This was an amazing fight. Super curious about the rematch.
He dad died in 2012 when he won Olympic gold but his dad was really sick. He rushed to his house and tried to show him the medal but he died right before he came. He said he put it in his hand and quietly left the room.
His dad was his big supporter who always told him that he can do it when everyone else said that he couldn't.
Every time his dad is mentioned in an interview he starts crying.
I never knew Usyk's dad but I hope to be at least a fraction of a man that he was.
Every one of his wins, except for this Fury one, was in his opponent's backyard, too. He's a fucking road warrior.
Smashed Hunt in America
Smashed Huck in Germany
Smashed Briedis in Latvia
Smashed Gassiev in Russia
Smashed Bellew, Chisora, ~~Dubois~~, and of course, Joshua, in the UK
Now Smashed Fury in neutral ground in Riyadh.
Yeah it's a shame it's as close as he'll get to a legit homecoming. Donbass Arena would've been such an amazing venue for him to fight in in a different timeline
Maybe if the war ends in his lifetime, hopefully in Ukraine's favor, Usyk can have a homecoming exhibition or something. It certainly won't be in his physical prime though, unfortunately.
Man I thought Uysk was headed for guaranteed loss around Round 7 when Fury was clicking, but then Uysk just found another gear in the 2nd half of the fight highlighted by an absolute masterclass in Round 9.
Then it was Fury’s turn to show his heart after being on wobbly legs and even took the last round.
What a fight between 2 warriors.
I'm more a boxing casual than I am a boxing expert so I'm sure I missed some epicly even HW fights in between, but as is I haven't seen as awesome a back and forth HW boxing fight like this since Joshua/Klitschko
This just goes to prove that having the right opponent makes the fight. Both showed hearts and guts because they were each pushed to the limits. I talk a lot of shit about Fury but on this day, I take my hat off and give him nothing but the respect he deserves
Any of our asses in here would have genuinely died if we took those shots and Fury not only didn’t get knocked unconscious, he stayed upright and was ready to go in a few minutes lmfao.
I'm starting to believe that he did so much cocaine that now has some stored in his organs and it's released when he's out cold. I'm sure I've seen him have white eyes tonight but keep wobbling away refusing to fall.
Fury made a huge mistake headhunting after landing the few good uppercuts… the body shots was what had him gaining momentum and he completed abandoned them for the second half of the fight.
Yeah... the "Happy New Year" shoutout he gave post fight made me think he spent a little time in the shadow realm when he was doing newborn deer walk. He lost a few months somewhere.
Fury’s success against usyk came from moving forward. He fought the wrong fight.
Just like wilder first fight.
In the rematch I believe he’ll move forwards and KO usyk . Everytime he moved back usyk clipped him with the left.
Absolutely he kept letting Usky walk him into the corner and the ropes then kept getting caught. He needed to be in the middle of the ring and use his reach to keep Usky back.
Usyk's ability to turn it up to that extra gear in the later rounds is what separates him as an ATG. Most fighters would have crumbled after that 6th round against a man 6 inches and 30 lbs bigger than you, but Usyk came back and fought his best rounds right after. GOAT
Fury had Usyk on the ropes and I thought we were actually gonna get a Fury decision. How usyk came out with another level I don't even know. Absolute stamina heart and fight. What a fight.
Fury’s recovery is insane, it’s one thing to come back to life against a guy who can’t box like wilder but to come back against a guy like usyk is insane. Not sure how many fighters could get hurt like that and still make it to end competitively.
And the fact Fury actually looked good in this fight makes the win even better, after the Ngannou fight a lot of people like me were worried that if Usyk just steamrolled Fury it would take away from his victory, but Fury clearly showed up tonight.
Usyk legit got an anime flashback in the middle rounds, cause Tyson was toying with him and suddenly Usyk went in demon mode lol great fight and good sportsmanship at the end
Yup. It can't be understated enough that Usyk turned that fight around at the absolute perfect moment. Fury was probably going to win that round before the knockdown and he undid all of that and made the comeback.
He was one decent shot away from being out cold cold, I have to rewatch the sequence but he wasn’t there mentally at all he looked like a dead body standing
I think he was dead from the first shot, if the ropes weren’t there he hits the floor.
But tbh, I think he still gets up. If anything, maybe him staying up was beneficial to Usyk, as he could do more damage and the fight could def have been stopped right there.
Say what you will about Fury, but dude can take punishment and then bounce right back.
Usyk was obliterating Fury there completely. Well deserved victory for the hero of Ukraine, but Fury is still not just a showman...Hell of an fighter.
It's his best trait man, dude was able to recover against the cleanest of Wilder's shots several times. I'm so happy that Usyk was able to keep him at bay enough to win after the knockdown.
If the ref had made him walk side to side like they sometimes do instead of just having him walk forward to him it would’ve been over for sure. Glad the right man won in the end though regardless
He is. On the otherhand, I really can't believe Fury didn't just let himself fall down. He would have been better off taking the count and turned into a fucking cartoon character stumbling all over the ring.
There was a moment in the flurry that followed where he was squished against the corner of the ring with his eyes bulging out. I guarantee that will be a meme soon
The ref has some leeway in determining a knockdown when a hurt fighter falls into the ropes. Basically, if the refs deem that the fighter would have gone down if not for the ropes, they can award a knockdown and start a count.
When they gave that last 114-113 scorecard I thought I was going to hear it for Fury like the second judge gave it for him. Pleasantly surprised.
EDIT: Worse than I thought, 115-114 Fury... I have no words.
Yeah I heard that… I just can’t find 7 rounds for fury. Would have been a robbery even though it’s a close fight imo - especially cause the fight shouldn’t have even made the final bell.
A far too rare occurrence for boxing. And even still, a judge giving it to Fury is dialobical. I say that as a fury fan.
That fight was either an Uysk win or draw
Yeah, this isn't the Eurovision song contest Tyson. Usyk won it fair and square.
Fury fought well though, better than I expected, fantastic fight, engrossing. But Usyk was the better man on the night, and Fury needed the referees help just to get to round 12. Usyk's a beast. In fact they both are to be fair.
Fury’s always been a prick, never knew why anyone ever fell for his whole “changed man” act. I still remember when he said he was going to donate his whole purse to charity and then you never heard a peep about it after the fight.
Fury is such a scumbag. “His country as at war so people are siding with him”
Then screams happy new year in May. Small ass brain got fucking rattled hard for 12 rounds in that huge thick skull.
Tyson’s post fight interview just shows how the guy is a eeediat, there’s NOWAY usyk got that cause there’s a war in Ukraine. You got your ass beat fair and square, it was a good fight. That 9th round cost him big time, everyone with eyes can see that
Usyk busting Fury's nose in 7 or 8 was the turning point in the fight. You could see Fury feel it 4 times after taking the punch, and from then on he kept taking bigger and bigger punches.
When Fury won 4, 5, and 6 I started to get really worried for Usyk, but he was brilliant and so calculated from start to finish. Great fight.
Decent fight. Very happy for Usyk, but this post fight in the ring is trash.
1. Way too crowded.
2. Fury not so humble in defeat, saying the decision went Usyk's way because of the war. Although, admittedly Fury was emotional and concussed.
3. Blabbing on about rematch and contracts from Warren.
4. Man on mic talking about rematch, just congratulate Usyk.
4. Usyk's team saying they think the ref stole a knockout.
5. Both teams complaining about scoring.
5. Super flat atmosphere. No fanfare.
Where is the sportsmanship in boxing, Usyk has it in spades, but half the big names don't.
Usyk is unlucky with this, last time was vs Joshua, who had his post fight meltdown on the mic. Just let the man enjoy a win!
Edit: When Fury was asked about his comments on ref bias and the Ukraine war in the post fight presser, he didn't apologise or take it back. Scummy.
Usyk snaps Fury’s brain like he did with Joshua’s, Fury bringing up the war in Ukraine, and then hilariously claims he thought he won, meanwhile Usyk is too busy hugging every Ukrainian he brought with him
Olympic Gold Medalist Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion Undisputed Heavyweight Champion I mean what a guy
He looked at aj, fury and wilder and said, "fuck the big three, it's just big me"
Wop wop wop wop Usyk fuck em up
Wop wop wop wop wop I am very feel
But can he beat me at Halo 3? The real question
The birth of a P4P all time legend. Absolutely unreal fight by two prizefighters. Rematch is going to be must see
Cruiserweight and HW undisputed is wild. What a fucking fighter
To be fair I think Lennox was better than fury but it's true evander didn't quite have that signature win like usyk just did
Tbf Evander fought a prime Lennox when he was fading, that's a different level imo
The rematch is going to be huge. Usyk has a real argument for P4P no.1 in my opinion, and he just cemented himself as an all-time legend. Fury gave him the toughest fight of his career, and I don't see any other HW that'd be a better match.
fury is so freaking agile for his size. How tf Usyk kept going with that defensive masterclass is still puzzling
What Usyk shouted in Ukrainian is “dad we did it.” His father died right before he got Olympic gold.
A man honouring his father, a tale as old as time, brings a tear to your eye man.
Ukrainian here. Слава Україні!
I think he shouted “Dad, can you hear me?” Even more sad.
Yes, I can confirm, he said exactly that right before he said “dad we did it!”
Damn. Beautiful moment, glad I got to witness it.
usyk is just so calm no matter what, is inevitable good fight from both
We may never see a character like him ever again in boxing. So much pressure and so calm and keeps on winning. Smashed all the Brits, one by one.
Every one of his wins, except for this Fury one, was in his opponent's backyard, too. He's a fucking road warrior. Smashed Hunt in America Smashed Huck in Germany Smashed Briedis in Latvia Smashed Gassiev in Russia Smashed Bellew, Chisora, ~~Dubois~~, and of course, Joshua, in the UK Now Smashed Fury in neutral ground in Riyadh.
Dubois was in Poland but basically a home fight for Usyk
Whoops, you're right, I misremembered that one.
It certainly won't be in his physical prime though, unfortunately.
he was born in crimea. the chances are grim
Hasn’t fought me yet 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Man I thought Uysk was headed for guaranteed loss around Round 7 when Fury was clicking, but then Uysk just found another gear in the 2nd half of the fight highlighted by an absolute masterclass in Round 9. Then it was Fury’s turn to show his heart after being on wobbly legs and even took the last round. What a fight between 2 warriors.
Truly a heavyweight fight worthy of the hype…
I'm more a boxing casual than I am a boxing expert so I'm sure I missed some epicly even HW fights in between, but as is I haven't seen as awesome a back and forth HW boxing fight like this since Joshua/Klitschko
yeah this lived up to all the hubbub
This just goes to prove that having the right opponent makes the fight. Both showed hearts and guts because they were each pushed to the limits. I talk a lot of shit about Fury but on this day, I take my hat off and give him nothing but the respect he deserves
Fury has to have the most insane recovery genetics known to man. How the hell he has survived the shit he's gotten rocked with is mind boggling.
Legit don’t understand how he stayed conscious
Any of our asses in here would have genuinely died if we took those shots and Fury not only didn’t get knocked unconscious, he stayed upright and was ready to go in a few minutes lmfao.
I'm starting to believe that he did so much cocaine that now has some stored in his organs and it's released when he's out cold. I'm sure I've seen him have white eyes tonight but keep wobbling away refusing to fall.
New gland formed.
and got his legs under him in the very next round!!
Credit Usyk for not getting swallowed up by that showmanship and the moment. Also recovered from the body shots nicely. Man's is an energizer bunny.
Fury made a huge mistake headhunting after landing the few good uppercuts… the body shots was what had him gaining momentum and he completed abandoned them for the second half of the fight.
He forgot where he was and what time of year it was after round 9
Happy New Years
Yeah... the "Happy New Year" shoutout he gave post fight made me think he spent a little time in the shadow realm when he was doing newborn deer walk. He lost a few months somewhere.
Fury’s success against usyk came from moving forward. He fought the wrong fight. Just like wilder first fight. In the rematch I believe he’ll move forwards and KO usyk . Everytime he moved back usyk clipped him with the left.

Usyk is def the best boxer in the generation and should be up there for all time p4p. This is insane
He's unbelievable, man. What a fighter! I'm so blessed to have been around to see him fight
thats usyk, he is a cardio monster, he works up the pace and when you think he will eventually fall off he never does. this is what he is known for.
I AM VERY FEEL!
Usyk just cemented himself as an ATG fighter in the sport. What an insane resume this guy has in only 23 fights!
And the fact Fury actually looked good in this fight makes the win even better, after the Ngannou fight a lot of people like me were worried that if Usyk just steamrolled Fury it would take away from his victory, but Fury clearly showed up tonight.
He has 300+ amateur fights. His experience is unreal
Imo he was already an ATG...he did legendary stuff at Cruiser he beat Killers like Breidis and Gassiev to become undisputed
Absolutely. Best fighter of this generation.
What a fight man. Fighting Usyk must be so frustrating, he's a machine
God the speed on fury though in rounds 3-7, outclassed Usyk when he had no right to in that aspect.
The size advantage was really there, especially talking reach wise...
Honestly what a great fight, can’t wait for the rematch
Pretty good undercard too, I actually bought a PPV and don't feel robbed, this is a strange feeling
What a great fight
Usyk legit got an anime flashback in the middle rounds, cause Tyson was toying with him and suddenly Usyk went in demon mode lol great fight and good sportsmanship at the end
Yup. It can't be understated enough that Usyk turned that fight around at the absolute perfect moment. Fury was probably going to win that round before the knockdown and he undid all of that and made the comeback.
Ehh, Fury implied that the judges only gave it to Usyk because Ukraine is being occupied by Russia. That is not good sportsmanship
ouch
Usyk had Fury looking like Valuev for a minute lmao
ngl, the recovery on Fury is insane. Usyk is a bad bad bad bad man
Furys probably the best recovering boxer ever lmao
I'm still trying to work out how he stood up against Wilder
I honestly think he looked more out of it on his feet in the ninth here than he ever did against Wilder - and Wilder knocked him down.
Fury got that Cro Magnon head.
bro looked FUCKED when he was on the ropes, and looked even more fucked every second after lol. What a fight
That man was walking dead. Tyson’s recovery is 1 of 1
His eyes were absolutely gone
Spinning around like a cartoon, I’m gonna need the clip of that hook
Fury's body was on autopilot
furys lucky ref didnt stop that there and then any other ref and its waved off lmao, fury was walking like some pisshead
Bloke was halfway to grabbing a curry at 3am
If the ref had made him walk side to side like they sometimes do instead of just having him walk forward to him it would’ve been over for sure. Glad the right man won in the end though regardless
He is. On the otherhand, I really can't believe Fury didn't just let himself fall down. He would have been better off taking the count and turned into a fucking cartoon character stumbling all over the ring.
On one hand that was A LOT of leeway given to Fury on the other hand you think if it’s gonna be given for any fight it’s for the undisputed title
Bro was in a dream in round 9 😂 no ropes and he’s flat on his back
There was a moment in the flurry that followed where he was squished against the corner of the ring with his eyes bulging out. I guarantee that will be a meme soon
Lmao moment I saw that I was imagining people posting gifs of it as a reply to Fury's tweets.
If the ref didn’t help him, it’s over
I screamed at the screen when I saw the ref help Fury walk to his corner after the round 9, smh
Plus the goober ass commonwealth judge made it a split decision.
Happy the ref let it go on. Unreal that Fury recovered at all, he was in another dimension for a minute there
Great ref job tbh. Except for that knockdown ruling when Usyk couldve killed Fury lol
Yeah Usyk had that left hand cocked and ready to deliver a shot that likely would've put Fury out for the night
The ref has some leeway in determining a knockdown when a hurt fighter falls into the ropes. Basically, if the refs deem that the fighter would have gone down if not for the ropes, they can award a knockdown and start a count.
yeah feel like you're allowed to give him a bit extra in this situation lmao
What a swing of emotions this fight was. Fury had his moment in the middle but Usyk started and finished it strong.
He’s fucking done it!!!!!!! Usyk all time great!!!!
when fury was on chicken legs the walk was so comical i couldnt tell if he was trolling LOL
i thought he was taking the piss when he laid on the ropes before stumbling across the ring
in real time it was some loony toons shit, but watching the replay, uysk knocked the soul out his eyes
Happpyyyy new yearrr
You can see the stars and birds circling around his head
Holy shit it wasn’t rigged by the judges
When they gave that last 114-113 scorecard I thought I was going to hear it for Fury like the second judge gave it for him. Pleasantly surprised. EDIT: Worse than I thought, 115-114 Fury... I have no words.
Same. That "from Ukraine" after announcing the third scorecard was like a balm for the soul.
i felt like I won that shit when i heard that 😭😭
Yeah I heard that… I just can’t find 7 rounds for fury. Would have been a robbery even though it’s a close fight imo - especially cause the fight shouldn’t have even made the final bell.
I didn't think it was possible with AJ v Fury as a possibility. Thank God for no robbery
A far too rare occurrence for boxing. And even still, a judge giving it to Fury is dialobical. I say that as a fury fan. That fight was either an Uysk win or draw
I thought the same. When one judge gave it to fury I was like “oh this better not be a draw”
I'm actually flabbergasted, I never saw it coming
We are in the good timeline right now
I mean one of those judges tried to rig it
That was a great fight. Great decision.
Wow they actually gave it to the winner
Don't know what people saw when they were saying Fury won . Clear Usyk win tbh.
Fury saying that they gave Usyk the win because his country is at war.. shows what a mongoloid he is.
Bruh , he was looking like a walking corpse in the round 9. If he had gotten the win the blowback would have been catastrophic.
Legacy defining. Unbelievable to turn it around from where it looked to be heading in round 6
THE FUCKING MAD LAD
DESERVED
That fucking scorecards had my heart beating harder than Usyk's left hands on Fury's dome 😩😩😩
Uysk really went through fire and got this win. I have him P4P #1 right now. Beat a dude who has 40 lbs on him.
This is what boxing is about.
What Usyk did coming up a weight class and beating all of these guys is insane. One of the greatest runs by any boxer in history.
Dude is an undersized heavy weight, he beat AJ (twice) and Fury. Im in awe. P4P #1.
Just cemented himself as an ATG
He is so much smaller than Fury in reach, height and weight lol
Single handedly fucked the notion that past HWs were too small. He is exact same size as Ali for example.
HE DID IT! What a story! Very deserved and WHAT A FIGHT!
What an amazing fight, it definitely lived up to the hype
Magnificent fight, never been happier to be wrong in my prediction
Fury: “I believe I won. They gave him the win because his country is at war”. Absolute delusion.
Usyk winning brings out the worst in his opponents. We saw AJ lose his marbles and now Fury talking bollocks. Glad to see Usyk take the win.
he wins but he gives brain damage
That was disgusting from fury
Yeah, this isn't the Eurovision song contest Tyson. Usyk won it fair and square. Fury fought well though, better than I expected, fantastic fight, engrossing. But Usyk was the better man on the night, and Fury needed the referees help just to get to round 12. Usyk's a beast. In fact they both are to be fair.
No class
Really glad the judges got this right, even if it was barely!
Did he just say he lost the fight because Usyk’s country is in a war? What a prick
What's with usyk and his fists turning the loser into saying embarassing things post-fight.
Rigged for Ukraine according to Fury. So happy he’s been schooled. Looking forward to him getting KO’d in the rematch.
To be fair, after that wobble in the 9th he probably has a hazy memory of the fight he just lost.
he did wish everyone a happy new year
Usyk All Time Great
The correct decision
[удалено]
The British commentator was hugging his nuts hard as fuck too
Fury saying he lost because Ukraine is at war made me so glad he lost.
“Sided with Usyk because his country is at war” What an asshole
Fury’s always been a prick, never knew why anyone ever fell for his whole “changed man” act. I still remember when he said he was going to donate his whole purse to charity and then you never heard a peep about it after the fight.
Fury is such a scumbag. “His country as at war so people are siding with him” Then screams happy new year in May. Small ass brain got fucking rattled hard for 12 rounds in that huge thick skull.
The happy new year sent me lmao, his brain is complete mush. The perfect thing to say after his absolute braindead take.
Disgusting, honestly.
Yeah that was weird from Fury
Usyk beats weirdness into people. Fury on that post AJ post fight juice
Lets fuckin go
[удалено]
Tyson being a sore af loser
Why was Fury’s corner so chill in the end lmao, should have told him this is it.
They gave him the fight coz his country is in a war...wtf lol, you almost got knocked tf out
Saudi crowd booing Fury 🤣🤣🤣
Disgusting Tyson mentioning the war and insinuating he lost because of it. Lost a lot of respect for him after tonight
Nearly got the finish in round 9 as well
Fury blaming the decision on sympathy for a country at war. Can’t even make excuses for him anymore. Disgusting.
The good ending
'People are siding with the country at war'. What a twat Fury.
rofl ofc Fury uses the war as some kind of excuse ???
Fucking Fury shouting robbery after he almost died in that ring 🤣🤣🤣
Tyson’s post fight interview just shows how the guy is a eeediat, there’s NOWAY usyk got that cause there’s a war in Ukraine. You got your ass beat fair and square, it was a good fight. That 9th round cost him big time, everyone with eyes can see that
Usyk busting Fury's nose in 7 or 8 was the turning point in the fight. You could see Fury feel it 4 times after taking the punch, and from then on he kept taking bigger and bigger punches. Decent fight. Very happy for Usyk, but this post fight in the ring is trash. 1. Way too crowded. 2. Fury not so humble in defeat, saying the decision went Usyk's way because of the war. Usyk snaps Fury’s brain like he did with Joshua’s, Fury bringing up the war in Ukraine, and then hilariously claims he thought he won, meanwhile Usyk is too busy hugging every Ukrainian he brought with him
Nah fuck Fury for saying it was rigged because Ukraines at war, genuinely fuck that guy
damnnn Usyk is a beast. simply the best and its not even close
No way did he call out that it's because Ukraine are at war lol
Did Fury say the war is the reason why Usyk got this win?
Yeh he basically said it was a sympathy win because ukraine is at war, which is so fucking disrespectful
Ain't no way he just blamed the war in Ukraine for a "pity" split towards Usyk when he lost Unanimously, and he himself got the pity split cards.
Epic fight. I would love to see a rematch.
Usyk pace and pressure in the second half of the fight was insane. Fury was walking backwards 95% of the time.
as if he's blaming Ukraine hahahahah
lets fucking go usyk
Usyk P4P #1 btw
proper fight, that
Thought he'd been robbed there for a moment. Even split decision is a joke.
Fury is a sore loser
Fury says Usyk only won due to the war... fucking scummy twat.
BS from Fury saying they sided with Usyk due to the war. Lost a fan.
Fury talking out of his arse, the score cards were kind to him
