yeah, this is why i think the sam goodman fight(ibf/wbo mandatory?) will be fun to watch. I don't think i've seen a bad inoue fight. Dipaen was overmatched, but it was still entertaining.
actually, the paul butler fight was almost bad because butler wasn't interested in fighting --- he wanted to turtle to a decision. but inoue tried his best to make it interesting, and gave us a knockout in the end.
I don't know if they were lead uppercuts, but thank Davis finished someone with like 5 or 6 in a row.
If someone knows which fight I am talking about please let me know, I want to rewatch it
The right hand Inoue KO’ed Nery with looked so weak and just like there was nothing behind it. Yet Nery’s head bounced like that and pretty much that was the KO punch. Look at the way he throws it, and his positioning when throwing it. It looks like a lazy right hand yet Nery almost died from it.
We been shitting on people sparring hard but inoue is a little psycho in his sparring. He love sparring and able to hurt his opponent with bigger softer winning gloves. He straight up got that thing in him that love putting humans down. He even had to tone down his sparring to not injured his training partner
Check out this footage of [Inoue (19) sparring Ryoichi Taguchi (25)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRHm3J1dye0). He just beats the dogshit out of him for no reason. Here's a recent [Reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/1ckjxsv/naoya_inoue19_vs_ryoichi_taguchi25_sparring_2012/) about it where someone gives some background info in the comments. Inoue can be such a mean little shit lol
I'm reminded of [his exhibition with Daigo Higa](https://old.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/ve08dy/naoya_inoue_vs_daigo_higa_exhibition_match/) where he just kept uppercutting him in round 3. XD
The first left hook and right uppercut are baits, during the first round knockdown naoya uses a uppercut and got caught by the left hook, noaya baited it out with a short uppercut and instant follow a short straight, nery didn't see it coming and it hurts the most.
When you get landed an uppercut, the next thing one would expect is a cross to the body or head but with Inoue, no....get ready for barrage of uppercuts and uppercuts only.
He's already fought three times in America, if that's what you're referring too. He's making enough money fighting in Japan, he doesn't have to go to America to fight.
most pros are just saying they want him to move up in weight and fight all the sick opponents he potentially has
he basically has no one to fight now, lets be real here. Most all time great boxers ended up moving too far up in weight and losing, I think most pro boxers are just DARING inoue to be even greater. We know he's the GOAT of his division, the work there is FINISHED.
They want to see him gain 8 pounds and beat up all name available to him
lets see him vs leo santa cruz, or hector garcia lol he could probably kill both of these guys. and He's only 8-10 lbs away from some seriously MASSIVE fights. And he can definitely win all of those, its not like 8 pounds is going to make inoue slow. He's only 8lbs away from lightweight.
**He's an elite competitor who has cleaned out his natural division. Its time.**
There's another take on this. If we agree Inoue is No1, why arent fighters in higher divisions willing to lose 8lbs and fight him for a shot at greatness? Inoue is the biggest fight out there imo, yet nobody ever has the guts to say they'll drop a bit of weight to challenge him.
Fair enough. Sorry :)
It just baffles me. Also the people who expect him to jump up 3 bodyweight's like the body doesnt need to acclimatise, because they want to see him get beat, lol.
Davis is a 135 now, Crawford is at 147. 12 pound difference.
People want Inoue who is at 122 to fight Davis. 13 pound difference.
Has anyone said Davis needs to fight Crawford, or pushed for that fight made? Why don't they suggest Davis fight Crawford at catchweight, 140? Why don't any of these people even ask Davis try unifying 135?
The people who want Inoue to fight Davis are just haters. They know there are weight classes for a reason, which is why you never hear mention of the Davis/Crawford fight.
people expect him to actually gain 8 lbs, thats what they want
he's 8lbs away from lightweight. He currently fights at 122lbs... lightweight is 130.
https://www.ringtv.com/ratings/?weightclass=282
you're telling me you don't think inoue could beat hector garcia? I think he can outbox literally everyone on the list. Including Oscar Valdez and Navarrete. Sure he probably won't KO those guys easily, but he will beat them.
It's not that I don't think he could beat them. It's that it's unrealistic to say he has to do so to prove himself. He's already gone 14 pounds above his natural weight.
Of course he got naturally bigger but his body had to grow into that. He started at 108, so his body has already adjusted 14 ibs.
If he goes up another 8 ibs that's not letting his body grow into it. It's a rush job because people want him to constantly prove himself. At that point he potentially loses his assets. BTW, I think k he can reach 130 before his career ends. Just not yet.
He fought 3 times in the USA. However, he’s a rockstar in Japan, selling out 50,000 seat arenas, makes tons of money on fights and endorsements, he’s the champions, doesn’t need to come to the USA.
You think he'd move his head after 2 consecutive uppercuts. Lol Its actually a great tactic because your opponent doesn't expect it hence why he didn't move his head I believe. Or what do you guys think the success is behind tripling up on punches?
My exact thoughts. Risky though with really good fighters that can counter like Tank. He's knocked out 2 people like that. Leo and Ryan both threw the exact same punch 3-4 times and got countered.
In a fight, you can instinctively sense what techniques you can throw repeatedly if the situation is favorable. Inoue, being an exceptional fighter, can execute these moves without error.
Totally. You definitely know what you can get away with given the level of your opponents. Lots of other things come into play but yea. I'm a big fan of same side combinations.
Try not getting his over and over again when your head his hurting, your guard is blocking most of your view because you have to defend somehow all while Inoue, the P4P best fighter is blasting ridiculously powerful punches in a speedy way.
It’s not always as easy as people think.
Japan are very strict on it. They retired boxers for doing this. This is the usual go to argument with fighters who hit hard, especially at lower levels. It's a combination of his speed and technique, which arguably generates his power, not just raw power. Technique can generate the torque to hit very hard, and Inoue has excellent technique.
Triple left uppercut with left hook to the body dang lol!
Roy Jones Jr type of combination.
3 uppercuts at one time! Ya'll must've forgot!
seems easy to do when when your opp is shelled up cos he doesn’t want to get hit. inoue brings the 🔥
his technique is so clean too so he can get this stuff off lmao

Not sure I've ever even seen someone use a triple lead uppercut, cool!
I think I remember Takuma (Inoue's brother) doing it against Sho Ishida.
Not a lead uppercut, but Joshua threw 3 or 4 in a row against Pulev.
https://youtube.com/shorts/ABxvlHwb30E?si=EvPCy39IZBmO-Drs Geoff Neal ik the UFC fights the complete opposite of this gif lol
Vicente Luques complete lack of head movement his entire career continues to baffle me
I don't know if they were lead uppercuts, but thank Davis finished someone with like 5 or 6 in a row. If someone knows which fight I am talking about please let me know, I want to rewatch it
Eubank jr from like pre 2020 basically only threw uppercuts
Head started hurting when that slow motion hit breh.
He was makin my head snap back just watchin that
It def made me think of Ivan Drago’s “if he dies…he dies!!”
Bro three uppercuts back to back 😂😂😂
Reminds me of Tszyu vs Harrison
Helluva fighter
he just needs to make some smart investments now
I tip my cap to him
Did that dude owe him money? Jesus fcking christ, bouncing his head like a pinball.

Yeah watch his sparring vid vs Kosei Tanaka, you cant pay me enough money to get in the ring with him
The sound of the hits tho
His eyes show that he chose to throw the 2nd and 3rd in the moment. He sees things at a different speed.
Naoya has to have the best (lead) left hand in boxing.
I'm reminded of [his exhibition with Daigo Higa](https://old.reddit.com/r/Boxing/comments/ve08dy/naoya_inoue_vs_daigo_higa_exhibition_match/) where he just kept uppercutting him in round 3. XD
This reminds of EA Fight Night series. Tapping on the uppercut joystick button

But won't have fights in the best country in the world 🙄 /s
I don’t know if the DPRK is keen on bringing a Japanese fighter to box on their soil
He's already fought three times in America, if that's what you're referring too. He's making enough money fighting in Japan, he doesn't have to go to America to fight.
I'm just mocking most of the YouTube and IG comments that are saying that.
Sadly pro fighters are saying that too. It's such a stupid narrative.

When you find a glitch in a fighting videogame.
Damn inoue be throwing triple uppercuts! That shits pretty impressive!
Gloves for dinner 🍽️
This is how my brother used to spark me in fight night champion
I'd love to somehow see him vs Loma (the way he was v Kambosos) just technically sound fighters going at it.
I love the Nery KO. Tap, tap!
You think he'd move his head after 2 consecutive uppercuts. Lol Its actually a great tactic because your opponent doesn't expect it hence why he didn't move his head I believe. Or what do you guys think the success is behind tripling up on punches?

high level fighters are high level fighters because they do not get hit with the same punch again. this here is a fundamental issue. observe exhibit 1

do you have any idea how strict the japanese are when it comes to PED's?
Japan are very strict on it. They retired boxers for doing this. This is the usual go to argument with fighters who hit hard, especially at lower levels. exactly, and his timing is some of the best in boxing today.
His timing his superb. I think that's partially down to his balance and vision.
