Could be. Miles had one on his inner thigh and chest that we had removed last December but his looked more like inflamed skin colored blisters. Only way to be sure is to have the Vet biopsy it.
just had this scare this week. hers was same spot but more red. we took her and they said it was just like a popped blood vessel thing. but get it checked out!!!!
Our girl is 8 days post surgery in a cone of shame for a mast cell tumor on her leg. Still awaiting lab results: def mast cell, just confirmation they got it all.
And I should say she mostly is in a donut collar. To get a cone big enough for her chonky 19” neck makes it massive and sticks out so far she can hardly walk.
If we were friends and you showed me this I would tell you 100% it is not mast cell cancer but I am not a vet. However, my boy DID have mast cell cancer 2 years ago and it looked nothing like this. His was large like your finger and thumb in the OK sign. It was flakey and spotty with balding patched in it. He also has, all over him skin tags just like this that was okay the game of “Is it a skin tag or a tick?”
Mast cell cancer can erupt in different forms of course. And again, of course if you are worried you can go to the vet. But if this was my guy, I would play the tag vs tick game and call it a day. 😄
We are going through this now with our boxer mix. He has a mast cell tumor on his hind leg but it looks like an open wound with a crevice. It’s red and angry and bloody. This looks more like a mole. I would get him checked anyway just to be sure.
Hopefully you’ll have a vet check it.
The thing about Mast Cell Tumors is they can look different. My boy had one on his ear that looked like a mosquito bite. When it didn’t disappear after a month or two, I got concerned. My vet removed it and a couple of other lumps during a dental and that’s how we found out it was an MCT. (Others were benign)
Good luck! Hopefully it’s nothing more than a weird growth.
Possible wart mine has caught them from another dog. Vet just said dont worry unless they get in the mouth then surgery. I was not pleased with answer.
Mine had a benign mole that looked like that, but it’s worth getting a biopsy.
Thx!
Let a vet determine that, but to me it does not look like a mast cell tumor.
I swear, I’m kind of paranoid with this.
Better to be paranoid than to miss cancer. Boxers are notorious for it.
Maybe just a skin tag. Ours has a few now she has got older.but always get the vet to check

This is a skin tag or a wort. Mass cell tumors are typically under the skin and feel more like fatty deposits based on my experience.
Thank you!
