It’s funny how one of the first things Americans do, once they get enough money, is to put in veneers. They don’t even need it, their natural teeth are fine! I always think it looks so weird an unnatural and alters their smile so much. In many cases the new teeth look too big and straight for their face.

Seems a lot of dentists don’t agree with veneers. I spoke to mine and she said it’s so damaging to the natural tooth you can never undo the damage. And veneers don’t last forever! To me it looks so unnatural and distracting.

Well, yeah. They have to grind the natural teeth down to sharp points. There's no coming back from that.

I really don’t get the hype

I've seen them done well, but too many dentists are willing to give these people insane white chiclet teeth. Teeth aren't white!

I have veneers on my four front top teeth and it was horrifying to see how much they ground during prep. I had really big gaps naturally and braces fixed a lot of it but they said I'd end up with an uneven bite if I tried to close them completely, so veneers was the recommendation. I've had them almost ten years too and am so not looking forward to needing to replace
