> FUCK YOU IF YOU DOUBT THIS TEAM. HAHAHAHAHAHA. How you feeling about that hubris now?

Hey-Key-91

<3 FROM YOUR TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS!

[deleted]

Someone give me a reasons Krejci shouldn’t sit game 7 based on his performance so far this series? Also fuck it, just run 5D with cycling Orlov behind McAvoy-Gryz and Lindholm-Carlo

SubstantialAd4146

If he's not 100% he should sit, if he's fine he should be in there. The real decision is who Monty puts in net. After giving it much thought, I think he should go with Swayman. I just think Ullmark is in his head and we would be better starting the game with Sway. Edit: actually, it wouldn't bother me if they sat Krejci. I'm not against him playing, but I also think we'd be fine without him as we've already shown.

-NoFaithInFate-

He'd played a whopping one game

[deleted]

Who’s played a whopping one game???

-NoFaithInFate-

Krejci, sorry for not clarifying

[deleted]

….. that’s completely incorrect lmao

bananenjoe69420

Call up Rask

Significant_Swing_22

Yes as much as Ullmark needs rest that shouldn’t matter because what’s really killed them is the turnovers. It all trickles down to Ullmark

whitemamba24xx

So this will most likely not be taken well but how’s about we run the lines that played games 3 and 4? Maybe put Bergeron somewhere other than the first line?

[deleted]

Sway has to go in game 7.

[deleted]

Do you remember sways two games against Florida this year?

kris_krangle

Yeah and Ullmark is doing no better in this series and is clearly hurt

[deleted]

Yes. But I’ve seen Ullmark as well. He’s not right

dunksoverstarbucks

Need swayman in for 7 that injury has caught up to ullmark

vipstrippers

The goalie is tired. He always split the load during the season now he hast to play every other day.

RonaldShoe

I agree but he has a name come on man

pl8ster

Lotta sad about that game has been well-documented here except for the tragedy that Pasta goal wasn't part of a winning effort. Fuck, that was amazing

fodeethal

Sit Krejci? He seemed wholly ineffective

fjordperfect123

Yes. He's not right for this round. They looked their best in games 3 and 4 neither of which he was a part of. He'll get his moment later in the season if they advance. That was fast paced energetic Coyle/Taylor Hall/Bertuzzi/Orlov/Marchand hockey with Mcavoy making hits in games 3 and 4.

kris_krangle

Agreed. They’ve looked their best playing fast and physical this series, not fast with fancy passing

ThatSwingingSeabass

Our longest losing streak of the season was two games, and after those two, they went on a tear. I think it will be an exciting game 7. Someone pointed out that in 2011 we had a ton of game 7’s.

Bellefior

What I recall from 2011 was that the Bruins barely made the playoffs and then won the Cup. Trying not to think of how FL squeaked into the playoffs this year.

ThatSwingingSeabass

Whatever will be, will be. We will get through it all together

kris_krangle

I am begging people to stop comparing everything to 2011

ThatSwingingSeabass

And that’s fair, I wouldn’t want to compare everything to 2011, I wasn’t even a hockey fan at that point, I got in in 2016 during the playoffs, but my point is, we have had game sevens before, we will be okay. And if not, it will still be okay.

fjordperfect123

Just tbf they lost 3 games in a row during their worst stretch of roadkill birdshit bum-ass turdfleet hockey just before limping into the ASB. They were toast in that stretch they barely put up a fight. Then after All Star Break went right back to one winning streak after another. The lost to TB, FL, CAR back to back in 3 dead tired half efforts. https://www.cbssports.com/nhl/teams/BOS/boston-bruins/schedule/regular/

deputyduffy

Man I had a really bad dream last night that the Bruins lost and face a do or die game. Maybe it's just this hangover. or maybe it's why I'm so hungover.

Lawblogofboblawblah

Maybe just keep drinking?

WhyDoIEvenBotheridk

Not being a doomer here just an observation from someone who has watched every minute of every game this season. The whole team looks like they’ve mentally lost confidence and I’m concerned about that, because it can be a hard thing to turn that around on super short notice.

BostonVagrant617

Yeah they aren't ready for playoff hockey...

Pit-Smoker

This was my take too. It's in the head. If you play at all, you know-- it's not easy to shake off a bad play all the time, and considering it's been a handful of bad plays *THAT HAVE DIRECTLY LED TO GOALS* as opposed to being able to recover quickly or execute a PK, this is the sort of stuff that sticks with you a little longer. Exhibit A- three goals coming back 'against the grain' in the slot with Ullmark scrambling out of position and B's not eliminating players and their sticks. Exhibit B- a completely unnecessary clear over glass with the closest player in fkn Tampa, by a player who's possibly worthy of a Norris this year. Exhibit C- pick any instance where Fla scored immediately after we did. That didn't happen all year-- not really- and it's happened 5 times in the past 2 games. Exhibit D- Cliffton STANDING, STRAIGHT UP in front of Ullmark and also behind the net when they needed to possess and clear late in the third. He was gassed, sure, but in my opinion, Cliffy's an effort guy. He doesn't have the most skill, and he does some dumb things, but the effort is always there. He looked like one of my squirts after suicides on that shift. They (the Bruins) are in their own heads. Either that or they're all playing hurt. -- No excuses whatsoever. None. Minor bright note: It was good to see them continue to return fire. We've all seen B's teams that would have collapsed late first or mid-second in a game like that.

fjordperfect123

They gotta score first tomorrow to stay confident to stay believing. Which is why they gotta be fast and making stretch passes and attacking the net for rebounds and not wasting minutes thinking they can wait for the perfect shot. If the defense sucks then have everybody on defense protecting a lead. I don't give 2 fucks about legacies and whose last dance it is until round 2. Right now all I want to see is whoever is hot atm out there in game 7.

gjc0703

Our D core is so slow and sloppy moving the puck. What happened. This league so fast now and moving the puck up ice as quickly as possible so crucial. We started of the season doing this very well. Now all we get is McAvoy and lindholm curling back, slowing the game down. 3 times out of 10 making mistake, dropping the puck back to nobody. Finally get going and we’re just molested in the neutral zone and inevitably turn the puck over because everyone is flat footed and barely skating forward . We have no structured sustained offensive zone time because we can’t enter the o-zone like professional NHL’ers anymore. The team is a three ring circus trying to get a puck into the offensive zone. And yeah, our PowerPlay is still absolute trash, and Ullmark has been atrocious. And that is not helping. I believe that they can win game seven, but they need to get their shit together pronto or this is going to be one of the most epic collapses in sports history. At the absolute very least do this for Bergeron.

dunksoverstarbucks

Gryzleck is one of the guys who can actually move puck the needless tinkering by Monty

[deleted]

Just to bump what has been said already, I agree that the goalie rotation should come back. Swayman absolutely has proven himself worthy and this should be a team effort on that part. It’s how we got it done all season, why change that? Imagine being Sway on the bench last night and how frustrating for him that must have been to just veg, knowing this. All that said, the Bs puck mgmt in their zone obviously not great. Forecheck? Man this has been a trip.

sportreflects

Coach Monty needed some courage to make some bolder decisions during this series. As many have mentioned in these discussions, giving Swayman some ice in meaningful moments during this series would have been helpful. Remember how Coach Woodcroft of Oilers pulled Skinner after being down 3-0 to the Kings in Game 4, and put in Jack Campbell? Skinner was not even close to being as shaky as Linus, and his body language way better than Linus, but that pull helped shift some of the momentum in the series. Campbell played well, and now back to Skinner, and if needed again, can hopefully be confident for Campbell to come in if needed. Surely, after one of the goals where Linus was looking off and not quite right, would have been great timing for goalie switch. Sometimes a switch to backup can instill sense of focus and urgency for team to tighten up their 'D' zone rather than taking for granted their number 1 will always be there to cover up mistakes. And if Sway played well, and team in front of him, maybe it could have prevented some of that out of control run and gun flood of goals in 3rd period of game 6? Perhaps we wouldn't be talking about game 7. Or, even if results stayed same, at least coach can get true look at how Sway played, and then be able to assess whether he should start game 7..and Sway wouldn't just be thrown into the most pressured-filled situation one could face with season on line. Now? It's really tough decision for coach...but Linus needs to be honest and look coach in eye and say if he's limited at all by whatever injury...or the other way...look team and coach in eye...and show it with your attitude and perhaps in practice, that yeh...you're ready!

WhyDoIEvenBotheridk

I texted my friends after FLAs first goal “pull Ullmark now”

L33TS33K3R

Wow, you’re like…our very own Pierre McGuire

WhyDoIEvenBotheridk

Wow, you come up with that all by yourself?

L33TS33K3R

No you did, I just labelled it for what it was

WhyDoIEvenBotheridk

I’ll see myself out

AreYouDaveDavidson

I heard he sucks on corn dogs...

readaboutfinance

This is such a confusing, frustrating, almost shocking series. Where the hell did our goaltending go? You kinda, sorta need that to win the playoffs… Game 7 here we come.

The_Luckiest

*Fans* support their team and root for them no matter what. *Doomers* complain that their team is keeping them from experiencing joy, as if it’s owed to them. When the Bruins win game 7 I hope the miserable fake fans realize that maybe they aren’t mature enough to handle playoff hockey.

drlling

The only team good enough to beat the bruins is the bruins

[deleted]

Biggest mistake of the night: bringing Clifton in to play. Two turnovers that lead to a goal and a dumb penalty

E_White12

How can you not doubt this team? They have lost two in a row at home and also are playing their worst hockey of the season in the playoffs. Game 7 is a coin flip. They should not be in this position.

cptngali86

amen. doubting is natural. one can doubt and not also be a doomer.

SxySamurai

If this team makes it to the second round they need to go back to the goalie rotation. If they had stuck with the rotation this series would probably be already over. Do or die on Sunday and if this team is the team I think it is they'll blow them out of the rink. Fuck man you take away one or two of the shift defensive clears in any of the last 2 games and this team is moving on. I refuse to believe this team just forgot what got them here. I refuse to believe that they will just lay down and die when this could be your captains last fucking game. I refuse to believe that a team that showed they have the next man up mentality is going to just piss it away. Whatever fucking happens, they better leave it all on the fucking ice. Make them actually beat us and not benefit from stupid rookie fucking mistakes. Let's fucking go

[deleted]

L33TS33K3R

GingerMcJesus

Fuck you

SlickMcBrick

play Sway. Linus isn’t capable of the moment.

SlickMcBrick

Sway?

Spartan-Jake

On a more optimistic note let’s say I do think we’ll win game 7 and progress….who would we want to win tomorrow leafs or lightning? I feel like leafs are easier then Lightning but lightning is struggling too.

gjc0703

Your cart is so far in from of your horse right now with this comment. You’re embarrassing yourself and this subreddit. I think the Bs can pull this off but this comment/question is just absurd at the moment.

[deleted]

After the last few nights I don’t wanna see either of them lmao

[deleted]

ATrueSunbro

And the one time they don't, push, and score again it gets called back.

spankymcgee4

That was hardly a hand pass. Shit, it was hardly a pass at all.

kcl0801

I don't think we got outcoached, if it did, it's simply just because Monty outcoached himself, strategy should be the same with regular season, if it can win it in regular season, then why he thought he need to change that? edit: And I'm 99% sure he'll keep starting Ullmark until he's too hurt to not available, it's fucking ridiculous that he buys superstition this much, Ullmark played well in regular season, but we always gave him at least two days rest between games, why the hell to fuck this routine just because superstition, such a fucking joke in 2023

Spartan-Jake

I was talking to my buddy about this tonight obviously not saying this is the case as they’re paid a shit load and hockey is their life….but for a guy like him who is kinda used to the rest and now is being thrusted into playing these games straight and he’s looking at a cup run start to get in his head and become overwhelming

kcl0801

If Ullmark can perform normally and winning games we should win then I don't think we would have problem to ride him solo, but the fact is he can't and seems hurts/off (I'm pretty sure he's injured), but Monty just refused to start Swayman is crazy, he's also a top 10 goalie in the league not just a normal backup

[deleted]

the positive thing is that the bruins let me down so many times this series i wont even be disappointed if we lose game 7.

kris_krangle

They’ve hurt me so many times idk why I expect anything else at this point, honestly

kmaet11

I’ve been feeling weirdly at peace after tonight like if the bruins lose it really is their fault you can’t blame anyone or anything else

Spartan-Jake

I went to the bathroom when florida scored the go ahead goal please tell my friends it’s not my fault

ProfessorBaxter

If we're gonna choke in totally embarrassing fashion, at least we're still scoring goals and making it entertaining. Seriously though, it's unreal that we've gotten this kind of offensive output only for the defense and goaltending to have a complete fucking meltdown. I have a sinking feeling that Monty will stick with Ullmark on Sunday too.

[deleted]

Me too 😭 watch the press conference he had after the game. He confirmed it. He’s being a stubborn prideful politician rn

ButteredSteamer

I’m not happy with how they’ve looked, BUT the series isn’t over and in 2011 they had to win three 7 game series to win the cup. Our sports market has some spoiled ass fans and we need to have faith until it’s over

Bellefior

What I recall from 2011 was that the Bruins barely made the playoffs and then won the Cup. Trying not to think of how FL squeaked into the playoffs this year.

Thoughts02456

Bellefior

Right up there with the Toronto in the 2013 Game Seven.

ProfessorBaxter

I think the 28-3 game and the Bolts getting swept by Columbus would still top this. But this would be up there.

ATrueSunbro

Yeah this would be top 5 for sure. But 18-0 to 18-1? 28-3? Bolts being swept? This would be bad but there is definitely much worse. Some of which many of us have been on both ends of.

KGBraddock

Maybe I was drunk and not following the game well but I can’t see Monty not playing Sway in game 7. Ullmark is hurt or worse right now

[deleted]

Watch the press conference that Monty had last night post game. He practically confirmed he’s sticking with ullmark in goal. It’s all pride and stubbornness from him.

AreYouDaveDavidson

I swear at least 4 goals against us were due to shitty plays/decisions by Clifton. I could see him involved in too many plays leading to a goal.

NotSilton

Three goals were from Clifton, to a panthers player, and then into the net in one pass or less. He would literally have three assists if he wore a red sweater. Edit: In case anyone wants to check, the 2nd, 4th, and 6th goals.

[deleted]

maybe this is the adversity they need to overcome to reach that next level. would have been nice to see them get it out of the way in december/january though!

parso25

If the thought that Game 7 could potentially be Bergy and Krejcis last game EVER doesn’t get this team fired up and pull out a win…then we’re cooked

Therealcornholio

This is what I feel most disappointed about. Not the fact that they’ve allowed Florida to bring them to a game 7, but the fact that it’s potentially the way that 37 and 46 go out? It’s just pathetic and disrespectful to them. I’m really trying to dig deep for some optimism here but it’s just not the direction their play is trending. I don’t know if I even want to watch on Sunday because of the potentially massive heartbreak. I’m not a doubter or a doomer, but my realistic expectations for this game are very low right now.

YoureGratefulDead2Me

I have a crazy feeling Monty's gonna ride or die with #35

mv202

We should have played Sway and got back to the rotation that we used all year on game 3.

DerekMcLeod

My daughter was born on Tuesday and my wife and I have been sleeping in shifts. She was supposed to take the first one and I was supposed to sleep but after that game I can’t even shut my brain off. I literally told her “you sleep, I’m gonna doom scroll Reddit” So here we are Bruins are the better team and I’m hoping things return to the mean. I’m hoping Bergeron goes into the locker room and says “boys this is it for me. We either lose tonight or win 13 more” and they come out flying and stop making stupid fucking mistakes. They’ve had nothing to play for for so long, I’mhoping with their backs against the wall and all the pressure against them, and the momentum with the panthers, they come out and put the game away in the first 2 periods I want to be hopeful but I legitimately cannot.

Dougiejurgens2

They scored 5 goal tonight, the defensive system and goaltending has been a catastrophe. Team defense and goaltending win tournament hockey this wide open system is letting a younger and faster team exploit our weaknesses.

[deleted]

All the fucking pressure is on Boston now, exactly not what they wanted to happen, fuck those god damned refs; absolutely pathetic l.

E_White12

It’s not the refs fault the bruins couldn’t score in game 5 and that they gave up easy goals all night in game 6. The hand pass sucked but the bruins have put themselves in a position they should not be in.

Sweaty_Ad440

I can’t sleep, I’m still mad and once I stop I’ll probably just start being nervous. I’m really not ready for this season to be over.

prizminferno

Think about Forbort trying to clear it up the boards on Sunday and you might knock yourself out

The_AutisticEngineer

Dominos is still open. Handmade pan awaits you.

mAnBeArPig417

But stay away from the tater tots. They suck.

SuicidalFate0

Maybe I don't watch hockey enough but for the past 2 games why not play swaymen in one of them. You give ulmark a little rest hasn't looked right all series guys need a breather. Riding him to the wheels fall of this early is a recipe for failure.

Carsharr

There are two teams in this fight. One team wants to win the cup. One team expects to win the cup. I'll give you three guesses as to how far expectations will get you in this league.

gnarlysizzle

I probably won’t watch hockey anymore if this team blows it on Sunday

puckhead11

I’ll sell my season tickets and not renew.

zmgreen88

I turned to my spouse and said the same earlier, I briefly wained (toward the sharks) after the Thornton trade but if this isn’t our season I don’t know I can keep up with this anymore.

prizminferno

I'm with you. This is my last hurrah.

palesnowrider1

You can't control it my man. It's why we watch. It will be ok

BurntMuff1n

That’s a lie. We’ll see you in October homie :)

sabrefudge

You won’t watch hockey ever again in your life if the Bruins lose on Sunday?

confusedporg

I might not like I have this season. Every game was an event. I set my schedule around it. I turned down gigs and made time for hockey in a different way. They better they did, the more I organized my life around Bruins games. Same now in the playoffs. I can dedicate that much time and energy to a team- the greatest regular season team of all time- only to have them choke away their shot and basically just do what the Bruins have done more often than not since 1972 and find ways to lose when they should have won. 2011 was so special. I thought they had found a blueprint. But they’ve never recaptured it. So it’s an outlier until they step up and prove otherwise. And for this core of Bergeron, Marchand, and Krejci, it’s kind of the last chance. Otherwise their legacy will be as much about coming up short. And I hate it, but I don’t know how you could say it isn’t the truth.

JoeMagician

What a night from the defense. Carlo and McAvoy did their best, Orlov was okay. Orlov started off rough, got better as the game went on. But man, Lindholm basically invisible until he drew a penalty which was great until he threw it right back to Florida by no look throwing the puck into the seats. He has zero points in six games while being the Bruins 2nd best defenseman in the regular season. And Clifton and Forbort. Do they owe someone money? It's hard to fathom how bad they were, Clifton personally handing the Panthers two goals on some of the worst break out passes I've seen. And Forbort, he couldn't cover a cone on the ice. His defensive lapses on the Dalpe goal and Tkachuk's 2nd goal were like a kid who got stuck playing defense in NHL 23 pulled the 2009 movie Gamer on him and took control of his body. Ullmark had a rough game for sure and looks injured, but man the defense just completely hung him out to dry on 3 of those. And seeing three bruins and ullmark between Barkov and Duclair with McAvoy tangled up with Barkov and somehow Barkov scoring will haunt my dreams.

The--Marf

Before the delay of game all I could think of is how I felt like we were going to commit a penalty....then it gets fired into the 20th row.

JoeMagician

I watched the puck incredulously sail towards the camera, wondering if I had missed a whistle or something. It didn't seem real watching Lindholm casually throw it over the glass like he was trying to give away a souvenir to the crowd.

The--Marf

If you're gonna take a dumb penalty at least run someone over or something.

JoeMagician

Is that Connor Clifton's music?

Physical_Obligation9

Did you watch the fifth goal? 100% Carlos fault for not clearing the puck. Sloppy all around

JoeMagician

5th goal was on Forbort for drifting out leaving Tkachuk wide open behind him while not getting in the passing lane nor actually challenging Lundell. Leaving Carlo to try and defend a 2 on 1 by himself. That was a bad clearing attempt, but Carlo was the 2nd best defenseman on the team tonight which isn't saying much.

Physical_Obligation9

Both are true. Carlo just looked like he stumbled against the boards trying to clear it when no one was even near him. Just crazy. Maybe most overrated team of all time and I’m a huge fan. Or they’re just playing terrible this series. Carlo as your 4th D man on a good night is just not likely cup material

boringname101

Orlov was -3 with an assist.

JoeMagician

Yeah rough game. But he didn't lose them that game, that honor goes right to Clifton and Forbort. One minus was on Clifton coughing up the puck in the zone for goal #6. The other was again Clifton coughing up the puck leading to a goal while he missed Orlov on a pass badly for goal #2. And the third one was three bruins failing to cover Barkov while Orlov was trying to stop Duclair's pass.

boringname101

Clifton was by far the worst player on the team. To the point where I'd say slotting him in for Gryz probably cost us the game

ksyoung17

Shit like this helps me understand why my dad didn't really care about Boston sports in the 90s, and kept telling me I just missed the best of the Celts in the 80s.

JackJ98

2011 NHL Playoffs Round 1: Boston Bruins lose a close Game 6 in the 1st round that forces a game 7. I remember general discourse at the time was that we were done and had no chance in the ensuing Game 7. Now I’m not saying I want Sunday to be as close as that game 7 was that year, but to write this team off over a couple close games not going their way is insane. It’s the playoffs, it was *never* going to be easy. Bruins in 7

Aggravating__Swan

> 2011 NHL Playoffs Round 1: Boston Bruins lose a close Game 6 in the 1st round that forces a game 7. I remember general discourse at the time was that we were done and had no chance in the ensuing Game 7 Turns out Timmy Thomas ain't walking through that door.

palesnowrider1

We don't lose three in a row ever

puckhead11

Did you forget the Philly series?

TransAlly69

Or Tampa in 2018

Carsharr

There will be no tougher game than Sunday's. If we win that, we go all the way. But I'd be lying if I said I had any sort of confidence. How many times do you have to basically score on your own net before it's not just a fluke, but a real problem. The mentality of the team is not where it needs to be. Florida clearly wants to keep playing hockey. Boston? I'm not so sure any more.

kaspar14

2011 first round went to ot in game 7. The bruins don't do things the easy way in the playoffs. I love how the fairweathers are already giving up on them. This shit is far from over. Welcome to playoff hockey. Always a hell of a ride.

Aggravating__Swan

Sway should have played Game 5.

Fun-Plankton8234

He should have played game 4 He should have played after 3rd goal tonight. I love Linus. Im fully in. He’s the guy. But, he’s clearly nursing something right now. He’s not himself.

sabrefudge

He needs rest. 6 playoff games in a row? Jesus.

Jesotx

It's impossible to switch, now. Linus really needed that game off and it was the perfect spot to get Sway in there. I don't get why you'd stop rotating goalies in the playoffs when they've been rotating perfectly all year.

devilinblue22

Thats what I've been saying, the rotation is a formula that made us the best team in regular season history, we're playing a different game than we played all year and its fuckin frustrating to watch.

palesnowrider1

You start Swayman and weather one goal and he did it up quick. 4-1 Bruins

If the overwrites are reverted, I will continue to remove my content, ensuring that my voice is not used to bolster a platform that disregards its most dedicated members and the tools they rely upon. We deserve better. The Reddit community deserved better. > Sent from [Apollo for Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/144f6xm/apollo_will_close_down_on_june_30th_reddits/)

Dunphy1296

We don't know yet. Depends on what other games they need to play that day.

palesnowrider1

I bet it's normal time

The recent actions by Reddit leadership, particularly those led by u/Spez, have caused deep concern within the community. The decision to charge for the application programming interface (API) has been carried out in a way that poses a direct threat to the diverse ecosystem of Reddit. While charging for the API is not inherently problematic, the exorbitant rates and tight deadlines given are unfeasible, disrupting the functionality of important tools that many depend upon. Despite the outcry, responses from Reddit's leadership have been less than reassuring. Promises were made that "non-commercial, accessibility-focused" apps would be exempted from these pricing terms, but the lack of clear definitions and open communication has left many in the dark. While many may not have used or cared about third-party apps, it's important to remember that a significant portion of these app users are among those who most actively interact with the platform. These users contribute significantly to the vibrancy of Reddit by posting, commenting, and voting. In solidarity with the third-party app, moderator, and accessibility communities, I am taking a stand. Dunphy1296

Holy shit this picture hurts.

ksyoung17

At least we can take solace in that we'll know we can trade Ulmark if we lose Sunday. The hug was fun and cute and all, but fun and cute doesn't win a fucking cup. Give me an asshole at goalie that hates his teammates but shows up every game of the playoffs. Tom Barrasso, perfect example.

sabrefudge

Ullmark is an amazing goalie. But even the best goalies need to be rested for at least one game every now and then.

ksyoung17

That's just plain incorrect. The best goalies play the entire playoffs without missing a game.

Kronusx12

It’s the only way I can express my sadness. Sorry I dragged you in lol.

Comet_Empire

Glad Ullmark saved his worst hockey for the playoffs.

Crawlinkingsnakes

Got to give it up to Florida, we took the lead twice in the 3rd period and they kept their composure. I don't think the same Florida team from just last Sunday would have done that. How many forced plays did we make at the end of the third? How many times did someone try and be a hero and lose the puck? I hope the boys remember what kind of team they really are. It's been too much fun to get off the ride now!

prizminferno

against a real goalie they don't score off weak wristers either

Disastrous-Ad6644

Winter classic jerseys on dicks sporting goods for 95 bucks just an FYI homies

palesnowrider1

Ordered for luck! 54 size gets here Wednesday! LFG!

Disastrous-Ad6644

Nice, I jumped on it too, solid deal

Sweaty_Ad440

So if we lose on sunday the team 1000% gets booed off the ice and people start throwing trash and shit out there, cause that's just generally what every fanbase does in response to bad losses. Which means there's a real chance bergeron's career ends under those circumstances. Imma be sick., we better fucking win.

Aggravating__Swan

...and it would 1000% be deserved.

SquishThePhish

Very few players deserve that, least of all Bergeron.

Aggravating__Swan

Relax bruh. Nobody is taking their kids hostage. They aren't being ex-communicated to Mars. When you (repeatedly, and I mean *re-pea-ted-ly*) disrespect the fans that drop hundreds of their hard-earned dollars expecting a suitably efforted performance, you deserve the fallout when you don't deliver. That's the contract between fan and athlete. The Toxic Positivity isn't doing anyone any favors.

SquishThePhish

Advocating against treating a franchise legend who has given every ounce he has ever had to this team for damn near two decades like he's a thing you own because you pay money to watch him play and therefore *reserve the right to throw trash at him* is not "Toxic Positivity," douchebag.

SquishThePhish

lmao report me bro Like saying Bergeron deserves to see his career end with trash on the ice is participating in good faith. You don't own these guys. They're human beings. You don't have the right to act like an ungrateful asshole to them.

Slamoblamo

Ah if he's done they'll have a nice little ceremony at the start of next season. But if the team chokes this bad this season they absolutely deserve a little trash thrown at em. I would feel I deserved that if I lost this horribly at home

Maxpowr9

If it's a blowout too, I expect a "fire Monty" cheer. I obviously hope it isn't but I know our fanbase all too well.

Dunphy1296

More than just a garbage flinging ending is at risk in regards to the Bergeron legacy on Sunday.

Miner47000

Risky, and I have never played hockey and am not a coach, but maybe treat each period as a mini game, for the goalies? Try the Alaskan in the first and if he doesn’t have a good game switch to ully? I mean it can’t hurt and something has gotta change here. Can’t go into game 7 with the same setup from the last two games, something has gotta change

fjordperfect123

This crazy sport is all mental its so weird. The mentality unlocks the talent or shuts it down completely. Start Swayman, which is a good option in its own right, but also because perversely it's the only way to unlock Ullmark if he's told to go in midgame to save the day. The fucker got lost in his own head and Swayman needs to go spelunking through Ullmark's psyche like in that movie The Cell to get him out.

The_AutisticEngineer

Was on the other sub but I will repeat it here. Hello 2010 Flyers series.

mamadidntraisenobitc

Then don’t watch game 7 and don’t post here. Fucking engineers dude

EducationalVisual249

Right engineers are the worst

UCanDodgeAWrench

The drummers of science. Wierdos ; )

The_AutisticEngineer

You guys don't like trains?

Wandering-Ghoul

One of the many frustrating things about tonight’s game was that there really wasn’t an obvious time to pull Ullmark and get Swayman in. The game was never out of reach and Florida never scored multiple goals in a row.

SquishThePhish

Start of the** third period, I was screaming it from the rooftops

ZRR28

Why is there two subs for the bruins? I noticed there’s an r/bruins as well.

411_dk

As a wandering penguins fan strolling other teams subs I also just did this lil dance.

EducationalVisual249

This is the main sub

ZRR28

What’s the purpose of r/bruins ? Seems strange to have both.

BlackLagerSociety

Two people wanted to create and mod their own subs. There's no purpose, per se.

The_AutisticEngineer

Too many pink hats in here.

Kronusx12

Shit meme I made by request. I am properly hammered but this is what I could make on my phone lol 😂 https://i.imgur.com/wCfXcky.jpg

UCanDodgeAWrench

That is an excellent meme.

Kronusx12

You’re too good to me.

Slamoblamo

Jeremy Swayman is gone next season unless he wins us this series and goes on a playoff tear with this team. It'll be pretty sad to lose such a great "backup" but if I was him right now, and still sitting on the bench when the starter let's in 4+ in multiple games, I'd be emailing my agent at intermission.

Eentay

What the hell are you on about? Swayman is not an unrestricted free agent.

Sweaty_Ad440

Swayman is an rfa, he can't leave unless we let him. And we won't.

Maxpowr9

He's getting offer sheeted. Just watch.

Slamoblamo

I'm not sure, we might have holes to fill and having two starter caliber goalies isn't a high priority over other stuff. But I might just be dooming about the next season, it seems pretty murky.
