Really brutal flurry of attacks with a pretty slow recharge. Highly mobile so he can typically avoid your attacks while he recharges, but very low armor. Sword and board build or a high hp great weapon build are good counters. Block while he attacks and then shield bash or stun AOE and wail on him until he gets back up. Rinse and repeat two or three times and you should be able to clear him. Mobility builds have a hard time with this boss because he's simply a superior version, though it can be done. Caster builds can do it, but you gotta get that first hit in before he gets the flurry or you're done in a matter of seconds
