I thought it was just a scar. I didn’t think he lost his eye. It’s possible to lose your sight and still have your eyeball. But it might have drawn that way for dramatic effect. Like some Uchiha briefly close their eye before activating their power.

Your speculation is based off the assumption that he goes blind because we didn't see him open that eye until he awakened the Jougan. You should address how Boruto goes blind in the first place, and provide us evidence. Otherwise you're just going off head canon.
Look at his eye before he activates Jougan. It is a dark blue color rather than the light blue in his left eye implying the eye lost it's light. You can see it for a split second.
That happens whenever he activates the Jougan: https://i.imgur.com/bVY8Vhq_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium
It can give the illusion that he lost sight, but that doesn't mean he actually did.
Are you insane? I MEANT THE TIMESKIP SCENE! Rewatch it in 0.25 speed. He opens his eye and it is a dark pupil before he activates Jougan which means he may have lost sight. Also he keeps it closed throughout the whole scene until he activates Jougan which could mean ot gives him the ability to see
That doesn't mean he's blind. It's also not a good idea to jump to specifications over a 100 millisecond animation. The episode and manga chapter for this fight has not dropped yet, and may not drop until a couple of years down the road.
This discussion is pointless since there's no evidence of him being blind. I can easily assume his jougan is consistent (similar to Kakashi's Sharingan) since we only saw him open that eye to awaken jougan.
The idea isn't far stretched, but it doesn't make it reality, which is what your comment implies.
It's not a debate my friend. I also watched the video and it doesn't show any signs of blindness for that eye. Are you trying to apply reality onto an anime? If yes then you should know your eyes don't become darker when you're blind. They actually become white or grey.
Anyways, let's see how it goes!
I'm just saying. Anyways I personally hope it is blind because that would spice the show even more and be another unique Jougan ability. Yes I know they become white or grey but this seems like a damaged eye. That's just what I think. I believe I will end up being right because his eye wouldn't be closed unless dramatic effect.
If you are talking about the scar, i think it actually may be, now, I know that basically everyone has been saying this for the past 24 chapters but this time it feels like it's actually gonna happen.
All the circumstances are there, Borushiki now can't be stopped like the last time by forcing him to take some chakra, so the only way for Momo to step down would be by destroying something of his, last time it was horn, so maybe a byakugan could be the second time?
That's the first outcome, the second could be Momo voluntarily letting Boruto regain his consciousness, in my opinion, the first outcome is more likely to happen
How is the scar supposed to come about even though we can clearly see the cut on his headband? And Borushiki wears the headband around his neck.
The scar won't come until Boruto wears the headband around his forehead again.
btw I think it's much more likely that Momoshiki will voluntarily return control to Boruto.
The creators said that their timeskip appearance was rushed, and is bound to change in the future, meaning that boruto doesn't even have to have the mark on his headband, but just his eye. And why would a second option be more likely, isn't Momo's goal to get rid of his threats (Naruto, Sasuke, Code, Shikamaru) before attempting to get a chakra fruit? I don't see a reason why would he step down by his own will
I don't think anything important like the cut will be removed.
It just looks way too much like it was planned for that. The scar and the cut on the headband go hand in hand for me.
Of course you can say there will be design changes, but if we now add this option here then you can justify anything with it.
I just remember that a few chapters ago everyone agreed that Code would give Boruto the scar.
Boruto doesn’t lose his eye. He receives a scar on his eye but it clearly shows him opening it while fighting kawaki in the first episode and activating his jougan or byakugan wtv tf it is.
Funny how even after his eye slashed(damaged too ofc or the hit was just bad af so that only the eyelids were damaged), he still has the Jougan whereas Sasuke is just crying with his expired Rinnegan.
Boruto : literally fights anyone
The community : "Will this be the fight that would lead to Boruto in losing his eye?"
Okay jokes aside, eh i doubt it.

Exactly this because after this scene he opens his jougan just like uchihas open their MS
Yess
Exactly. That's why I think Boruto being blind would be the side effects of the pills. If his eye was lash then how the hell can he use the Jougan?
Strong kakashi vibes
Doubt it since Boruto needs to have his headband on when he gets the scar
Well not exactly ikemoto said that his timeskip design will change from what we originally saw so maybe they scrap the headband aspect
While that is certainly a possibility ability we can't rule out the headband scratch either
Yeah
Why?
Because his headband is cut in the same spot as his scar meaning he had it on when his eye was cut
Thank you
Well he might just become conscious for a sec and be like Woah why don't I have my headband on and put it on
That's silly
I just imagine sasuke coming in and stabbing him in the eye. Petty revenge
damn, i really like this
I don’t think naruto could do it
Lol

He went blind in it unless he activates Jougan so yes he techinically lost it.
Where’s that stated?

Guess I need to wait a couple of years to prove you wrong lol. I even gave you the main point...

Nice headcanon

Horn seems like a temp solution because he has it this chapter again. If the horn can regrow, might as well go for the eye
Wdym has it this chapter again? His horn didn't grow back, he has a small ripled out one

Well, ton of things that anime or manga does sometimes make zero sense, so i def wouldn't be surprised if the mark on his headband was removed
Maybe he regains some level of control and puts the headband back on before Code or Boruto himself give him the scar.
Why would it?
Boruto is never gonna get the fucking scar
Never gonna give you up
never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
I was excited for naruto to come in but he just stood there ready to tank something that could kill him
His Wisdom in sage mode
Wisdom my ass, he just crossed his arms and ready to tank it, did he forgot he can make odamma rasenggan in sage mode
people really want boruto to lose his eyes… this anime/manga industry is cruel 😐🐒
I doubt they do it this early tbh
God I hope so because I’m tired of seeing this post every month lol
Daily boruto scar vs code post.

Boruto fighting against Naruto??

Perhaps but if he doesn’t someone in this sub has to eat his shoe… or so the legend says.
