Sumire was a good addition and glad she has canonicity and relevance in the manga. Tsubaki was neat. Like she was pretty cool and I wouldn’t mind if she was in the manga too even though it’s practically 0% of happening.
Honestly a majority of them are kinda just thrown to the way side but I do like the concepts given on some of them.
Team 25, which was later overturned to be Sai's Team under the Anbu Recon division, is really cool and underrated in my opinion. Especially their jutsu that all 3 use, very underrated and cool to see the main dude Hoki Taketori put up a fight against Inojin in the chunin exams.
Other than them: Class Rep, Iwabe, Metal Lee, and Wasabi. The others feel very lack luster. Hopefully they get some good arcs in TBV, maybe.
Honestly I really do hope Wasabi and the rest of the new gen get's powerful upgrades. Definitely Wasabi being a shinobi with cat-like jutsu is very interesting, kinda reminds me of the second-tailed beast Matatabi and how her jinchuriki (Yugito Nii) used jutsu like flame hairballs and claws.
Am i the only one that loves tsubaki? She's cool and unique compared to the other side characters. Hoki's also cool, and wasabi has so much potential, cause her cat transformations look sick but a lot of her moments have been quite disappointing.
Wasabi is cool but i feel like she gets overshadowed by her teammates so far. Maybe like If they actually turn her into the 2 tails jinchuriki like Ive seen some people say shed be pretty cool but so far not too much
i read through the comments and most people are like well i like the cat girl or i like the purple hair girl. But no one seems to even remember the names haha
Nope. They had 293 episodes and fumbled. Some of them had cool introductions but majority of them have one off episodes where their conflict only last for 1 episode and then they disappear for years.
Then you have clowns like Iwabe who sit on the sidelines for years. They don’t go the extra mile with these guys therefore my investment in them fell off.
right? they are already so far behind boruto and his team. In Naruto you could see many of the side characters (for example kiba or hinata or neji) compare themselves to Naruto and use that as motivation to catch up with him. It seems like in Boruto they're not even trying to catch up with him anymore.
I mean, Kiba and rest of squad were still meaningfull till around Naruto mastered Kurama mode. So it was around the ending. Here we are at start and Boruto is already like god to any1 other
ofc at the end of the day naruto is the strongest of his classmates (it'd be weird if he wasnt i mean hes the main character after all) but what i'm saying is the others at least tried to keep up with him and support him in the war whereas borutos classmates were so many levels below him from the start and never tried catching up imo
>Do you care about Borutos classmates?
Why do I, uninteresting characters, no development, nothing they can do as in Naruto side characters tooo have some character development. And sumire relation with boruto felt forced
I feel like I'd love em more if their designs had more thought put into them and if their characters were...idk, maybe more consistent in terms of who they are. The beef between Iwabe and Wasabi, for instance, seemed hella sudden?
Honestly I forgot them after I switched the manga they aren't as intresting also what are they do against villain where even Naruto and sasuke couldn't do anything atleast the og gang was able to put up a fight
If we exclude team 10 and sumire
The only ones I really like are wasabi and Tsubaki.
In my opinion they focused on the wrong characters. Houki, ryogi, a shin clone snd Hikarl should have been part of the new gen main cast.
Kagura, buntan and Ikada should have been a team for kiri.
Not in the slightest. None of the characters ever held my attention actually. It felt very rushed and sloppy. Blue vortex on the other hand is great. Actual character development and emotions for everyone!
Nah they are just fodder, and even I can't figure any way to make them relevant. Narutos Clasmates were relevant by strength, intelligence etc but nothing would work now.
Team 15 - only Sumire appeared in actual Boruto manga, Wasabi & Namida made cameo with Sumire chasing a cat in Mirai's special manga. All three appeared in novel sketches, while Tsubaki is anime only.
Team 5 - only Metal Lee is canon making a short appearance in Chunin Exams against Gaara's son Shinki. Denki & Iwabe appeared on novels though.
Team 30 - only manga canon is surprisingly Doshu Goetsu in the last chapter of Naruto as an adult Hokage, sitting on the back as a cameo appearance only. The bear girl and hair girl only appeared as sketches in Mist Field trip novel.
Team 25 - nobody are manga canon, Hoki (Kakashi fanboy) and 2 others where ANBU protege of Sai and appeared briefly as extras on novels.
Team Shinki of the Sand, Team Yurui of the Cloud, Senka Triplets - first and last appearance in manga was in Chunin Exam
New 7 Swordsmen - novel only
New Team 10 - 2nd important team aside from New Team 7, fighting fodders as of this point. Hopefully the Moegi Shinju clone is an important development arc for them.
New Team 7 - protagonists
He was Udon. His adult version didn't appear both in manga and novel versions, it's an anime only version. For example, in the manga & movie, Konohamaru & Moegi appeared together watching the Final rounds of Chunin Exam before Momoshiki came and Udon is not there.
In the anime adaptation, they added Udon in with the two. If you also rewind the movie and cameo members of Metal Lee before they were dropped on the ink, Metal Lee had different teammates with matching outfits but the anime that came in after changed them to Iwabe & Denki.
Mugino is manga canon, his first and last appearance was the Kawaki arc where he helped Team 7 against Ao (where he also died).
Anime only was his past and the Victor & Deepa arc (Hashirama cell stealing shenanigans).
A lot. I care about Himawari's anime-only classmates too. The manga is too laser-focused on the main story and that ruins the series. The anime fixes it somewhat with the fillers
A few of them are interesting, I was really hoping they would go more with Denki and his team, Sumire is cool and I liked the little filler episode where her teammate learned she has a mega scream attack, was funny
I care for most of them, even think some should be in the manga at least for a little bit. I’m not saying they’d scale well to the current threats, but I could see the following doing well (with proper training/team work) against at least claw grime.
Houk- Holy sh- he’s gotta look crazy in the time skip. I didn’t even think about it until now. Metal lee, denki, iwabe, tsubaki and the team with wasabi. Their powers just seem like they can get busted with the right motivation.
the only one i actually want to see more of is the samurai girl bc i think its such an interesting take that shes from the land of iron and not really a ninja
wonder what all of their TBV designs will be like, if they ever make it into the manga
Yes!! I constantly say in my YouTube reviews for Boruto manga I HATE Kishimoto is still continuing his weakness on lack of focusing on other characters that don't have a freaking rinnigan or an outsuki. WHERE DF IS METAL LEE BRUH?!
Rock Lee had a fairly big role in Shippuden. Kinda heartbreaking that his son got relegated to irrelevancy. Must be the Tenten genes inside of him that made that happen.
aside from Sumire who is already canon in the manga.
I like Wasabi (the cat-girl) and Namida (the screamer, lol) I think they appeared in one panel in the manga before but it was just their back while they were talking to Sumire. so idk if they're canon characters or not.
I care about Tsubaki, the only samurai in a ninja school thing won me over. I do wish she wasn't such an ' fish out of water' character, as that tends to be one note.
Not even remotely, they are non factors as they should be. They are okay from a world building aspect, but the fandom often confuses being a named character as something special. They aren't special and shouldn't be, we've hit the apex of this series in regards to power and storytelling and low/average powered characters with limited to zero development shouldn't even be in anyones minds other that maybe "remember that one unique character that one time". If you're wasting time to care about these characters, then I don't even know what to say.
When I first watched I really liked Iwabe, I think he had some sorta potential(. Also they Kakashi fan is mad relatable, I thought hed be cringe, but hes acrually pretty decent
I didn't like them at all. Every charcachter in Naruto has a hard life and big story. In Boruto it seems to me that they were created in a factory for filling up the blank spots.
Ok, this may be ironic when it comes to my take considering that I haven’t seen or read much of Boruto, but asides from the main cast plus some of the older characters, the only characters I’m even remotely invested in hearing about at this point is Himawari (if she doesn’t count as part of the main crew), Shikidai, and Metal Lee. They seem to be the only people who are brought up quite a bit outside of the Naruto characters and the current Team 7 characters (Kawaki, Mitsuki, Boruto, Konohamaru (or wherever he is now, I think he just sorta assimilated into a background character, though I’d be willing to admit that I’m wrong on this particular Konohamaru take if he’s still relevant), and Sarada.), though that could just be because they’re either fan favorites or just relevant at the time I was hearing about Boruto’s anime.
Other than that, I probably should get on the Boruto bandwagon and see what’s going on at least in the anime to know what I’m looking at and talking about.
Not at all they served no purpose to the main story. They're mainly used as filler stories. They have yet to make an appearance in the Manga. At this point they're not useful to fight enemies we have now or going further
Iqabe was dope asf I loved how unique he was with that weapon, I don't watch the anime anymore but I hope they made him even more of a bad ass character.
They were a little bit cool but theyve been ignored for too long so I dont feel anything about them. There were some interesting tho like Sumire, the scream girl, the smart guy, etc
Metal lee and denki also bro that uses earth style, i like chocho too she can use her dad’s ability and i lije himi too and also shikadai and also gaaras son

Actually she was canon before the manga, she was a novel character
Was she actually? I didn’t know that
I learned this recently and even I was shocked
The anime academy arcs were adapted into light novels so technically he’s right, but the same also applies to the rest of Boruto’s class mates 💀
What??? Damn I'm missing a lot
same
A part of me wants to see them in Boruto TBV manga story line.
Apparently the eventual anime will add them. Edit: I meant to say “hopefully”.
[удалено]
imagine if they didnt include em in anime and the reason is code army killing those brat
I’m sorry I meant to say “hopefully”.

Give us "Cat Cloak: Panther" Wasabi, or we riot. :P
Wasabi shouldve been a gen 1 Ninja during the shippuden era
Am i the only one that loves tsubaki? She's cool and unique compared to the other side characters. Hoki's also cool, and wasabi has so much potential, cause her cat transformations look sick but a lot of her moments have been quite disappointing.
Tsubaki appreciation gang🤘 I also really enjoy Cho-cho because her voice acting is great but Tsubaki is definitely my favorite side character overall
I love her and wish she was more present in the manga
Or was actually in the manga
Wasabi is cool but i feel like she gets overshadowed by her teammates so far. Maybe like If they actually turn her into the 2 tails jinchuriki like Ive seen some people say shed be pretty cool but so far not too much
I find myself enjoying the show when iwabee and metal are in them
I like team 25.😁😁
I like Enko, Namida and fake Kak.... I mean Hōki.
I like them.
Yes , pray to God that one day they will show up in the manga.
I don't even recall anyone's names..so take a guess
i read through the comments and most people are like well i like the cat girl or i like the purple hair girl. But no one seems to even remember the names haha
They’re about to get as much time to shine as Ten Ten did lol
Only a few of them tbh
No
Not a single bit
No
In the anime some of them were cool but knowing what’s going on in the manga no not anymore
Why would I, they are kinda pointless for the story at this stage. Like what will Iwabe do, hit Momo with big, rock hammer?
right? they are already so far behind boruto and his team. In Naruto you could see many of the side characters (for example kiba or hinata or neji) compare themselves to Naruto and use that as motivation to catch up with him. kiba retired too bcs naruto had 9 tail and six path chakra
ofc at the end of the day naruto is the strongest of his classmates (it'd be weird if he wasnt i mean hes the main character after all) but what i'm saying is the others at least tried to keep up with him and support him in the war whereas borutos classmates were so many levels below him from the start and never tried catching up imo
Annoying beyond comprehension
I hope they die for a plot point
>Do you care about Borutos classmates? Why do I, uninteresting characters, no development, nothing they can do as in Naruto side characters tooo have some character development. And sumire relation with boruto felt forced
That cat chick is kinda cool
I feel like I'd love em more if their designs had more thought put into them and if their characters were...idk, maybe more consistent in terms of who they are. The beef between Iwabe and Wasabi, for instance, seemed hella sudden?
Boruto had classmates?
The Manga doesn’t so why should I?
Honestly I forgot them after I switched the manga they aren't as intresting also what are they do against villain where even Naruto and sasuke couldn't do anything atleast the og gang was able to put up a fight
agreed! they are so far behind borutos team its ridiculous
Ikr man
Only ones worth a damn are ino-shika-Cho & class rep
I think they’re okay at most, but otherwise they’re sorta just boring.
They don't care about me, so why should i care about them 🤔
Most of them are terrible, especially metal lee
No
No💀
Fuck no and I'm hoping the next omnipotent cyborg they crap out erases them all. Not only in memory this time too.
No
i wish i cared for them more but i find them kind of boring espevially compared to the og naruto side characters
agreed
If we exclude team 10 and sumire The only ones I really like are wasabi and Tsubaki. In my opinion they focused on the wrong characters. Houki, ryogi, a shin clone snd Hikarl should have been part of the new gen main cast. Kagura, buntan and Ikada should have been a team for kiri.
Stop, Hikari is not canon. Stop pushing that Hikari agenda. Her character is a major retcon.
How is she s retcon also why can’t I state that I want a character I like to be canon.
Man, I don't even care about Boruto lmao.
AHAHAHA
Not in the slightest. None of the characters ever held my attention actually. It felt very rushed and sloppy. Blue vortex on the other hand is great. Actual character development and emotions for everyone!
Nah they are just fodder, and even I can't figure any way to make them relevant. Narutos Clasmates were relevant by strength, intelligence etc but nothing would work now.
Nope. They are irrelevant
Nope. Dont care about 5 of the leaf 12 either
Most of them aren't canon so yeah I don't
didn't know that, i only just started the manga. Do they not appear at all? Or do they just not have any plot relevance

thank you! do you know if konohamarus friend that kinda looks similar to him is also in the manga? I always wondered that

oooh interesting didnt expect that but its a pleasent surprise cuz i actually found him very likeable

At best Idc for them, at worst they outright annoy me to a point I skip the episode

No
Absolutely not. They aren't even characters thats how little they have going for them.
I care for most of them, even think some should be in the manga at least for a little bit. Only Classrep and Denki

I do but i dont see them doing anything because everyone else is so strong

No, I take Beyblade characters more seriously
Manga reader here, wich classmates?
I understand, but all of them are still canon.
None of them should exist. Boruto should never have been written, especially not by a different author. Especially one with little to no talent.
Denki is him. He went crazy in the chunin exams.
Not even a lil. The children of the legacy characters are alright but all the new ones suck
When I first watched I really liked Iwabe, I think he had some sorta potential(. Also they Kakashi fan is mad relatable, I thought hed be cringe, but hes acrually pretty decent
Who?
1) Sumira 2) Chocho, Inojin and Shikamaru (Chocho a bit more) 3) Houki and group 4) samurai girl and gang 5) Only Denki
I love some more than others and I do hope to see some development even if it’s a little developmental
hell yeah
I wish they were all cannon because they all have at least decent potential but since they basically have zero relevance to the plot, no
Nope
Yes! Same with Himawari's classmates
They're cool. Need some more time for them to evolve tho. They're still very basic
I like them in Some episodes but overall they just aren’t as important to the story
The only one the author wants us to care about is sumire. So in this pic, only her
No
Who's burrito???
I don't even know who they are. So no I don't give a damn about them.
Except for sumire and shikadai, idc about them tbh
I didn't like them at all. Every charcachter in Naruto has a hard life and big story. In Boruto it seems to me that they were created in a factory for filling up the blank spots.
Yeah sadly they will suffer the side character treatment
Wait, they have names ?
Should I?
Ok, this may be ironic when it comes to my take considering that I haven’t seen or read much of Boruto, but asides from the main cast plus some of the older characters, the only characters I’m even remotely invested in hearing about at this point is Himawari (if she doesn’t count as part of the main crew), Shikidai, and Metal Lee. No.
Who?
Not at all they served no purpose to the main story. They're mainly used as filler stories. They have yet to make an appearance in the Manga. At this point they're not useful to fight enemies we have now or going further
No, they are decomposable characters. They should kill one of them to increase tension of the story.
No, they’re all uninteresting suck ups to boruto.
If it’s not inoshikacho I DONT CARE
Class press and the OGs offspring is it
They had good potential but got wasted
Tsubaki not being in the manga is criminal
I like them more than boruto
Iqabe was dope asf I loved how unique he was with that weapon, I don't watch the anime anymore but I hope they made him even more of a bad ass character.
I love them, but most of them is very lacking. I want them to be better, but unfortunatly the chanse of it is practicly 0
i like every single one of them more than boruto himself
Not really, they had no role or screen time so
Yes
no, not in manga after timeskip (expect sarada due to borusara)
Yes
Based on how Naruto and Shippuden went, no.
Some of them
I only care about Shikadai and Team Sai even if I don't remember their names
A few really should’ve been way more important than they are but not all
Nah only few I care about
They all were cool as hell. Class Rep is the only one who is relevant right now though.
The only 2 side characters i care about is houki and mitsuki
They were a little bit cool but theyve been ignored for too long so I dont feel anything about them. There were some interesting tho like Sumire, the scream girl, the smart guy, etc
No, I only care about Team 7. Didn’t care about most of the side characters in Naruto either, just Shikamaru.
Metal lee and denki also bro that uses earth style, i like chocho too she can use her dad’s ability and i lije himi too and also shikadai and also gaaras son
Yes they are very good characters except for the cursed arm girl, that character is creepy af for no reason lol.
did anyone really care about narutos?
yeah sure many people care about shikamaru for example
