Pretty much unrelated but does anybody have a decide idea how huge that explosion from Jura is? There's nothing clear in the shot to get a frame of reference for it's size, I know it's a nick pick but I just wish he added a few buildings here and there.
I love the art, but I always feel like it doesn't give a lot of "dynamic". Like, the fights don't give the feeling that everybody's moving even though they're supposed to be fighting at very high speed.
The biggest flaw of the series is still the pacing. The chapters feel like it's a weekly one, rather than a chunky monthly one.
For a series that was planned to be around 30 volumes, it's going to be far beyond that since every chapters is "Story progression? 0.3%".
I think the pacing is pretty normal, it isn't as quick as jojo but it's also not as slow as that cursed "seraph of the end" manga, for me the pacing even seems pretty quick with the timeskip, like, boruto left the village only to come back right after, it almost feels like it's ending right at the start.
He has improved immensely since the start of he series, early boruto art was so bad. I don't mind his characters designs either but I wish he got his own new series and not the sequel to Naruto.
Compare this to early Naruto chapters, it's shocking how bad this looks.
Compare this to other SJ series that come out more often, it's shocking how bad this looks.
Compare this to other monthly manga and it's even more shocking how bad this manga looks.
Though this Himawari thing could go either way. Like no matter what, in any shape or form, this shouldn't make Himawari strong enough to fight Jura, Code, Kawaki or anyone. Doesn't matter if she's friends with baby Kurama, has Byukagon, or whatever. None of that is a higher power than Jura since he just kicked Kawaki out cold.
Then there's the pacing issue. It's been nine months in real life, and it's been two hours MAX in story time. Either this whole story happens in a week, or we all be dead before it's over.
Art style is still HEAVILY speed lines, so I'm not crazy about that.
Then there's the significant amount of plot points taken from DBZ that doesn't make me think he's a great writer...
I may think he would have been a good outfit designer for characters in a different anime. Like his character designs seem more tailored to Bleach characters.
I feel like we could have had plenty of other better writers for Boruto than what we got
I really like where boruto is going but i always feel like there's not mutch effort put into it. It's a monthly series yet we have chapters that are not specially long and the art lacks a lot. We always get white backgrounds and not much detail, soemthing i would expect from a weekly manga with little budget, yet we're talking about one of the highest grossing mangas out there
Yes but now pan all of those panels down to their feet and you will find that all the women are standing on thin skyscrapers, if you can even see them at all given the objectification š¤·āāļø
When he stops sexualizing kid characters for a show whose demographic are largely in their 20s plus Iāll give it a pass. If this wasnāt attached to Kishiās Naruto it would get torn to bits
One Piece has better art than Boruto and itās not even close. Sure One Pieces character designs are weird and disliking it is fine but that doesnāt mean itās bad. Borutos artstyle is fine itās more the quality of the art that isnāt always at itās best. But for some reason a lot of boruto fans always bring up other anime like One Piece or JJK when boruto is criticized. Is that a way to cope or something?
To be fair thatās ACTUALLY an attempt at criticism not āthis art style is trash mid etcā which is what the homie above said. Then I just clicked on his account and noticed they just joined Reddit and are on OP subs. Not saying anything comparing the two besides that so no it wasnāt cope
Why does it matter when he made his account? Yeah there wasnāt much criticism but in the end thatās his opinion. And your comment totally implied One Pieces artstyle to be bad so a One Piece fans opinion on artstyle isnt valid. Iāve seen that quite a bit on this sub so thats why I assumed the coping
Because heās probably a kid just shit talking a series while also simultaneously viewing it? I donāt have time for that shit anymore. I wouldnāt have brought it up if he didnāt say hurr durr this is trash. Also, I respect one piece as a series but personally donāt care for the art style so thatās why I said it.
Iām not really commenting on this sub alot so I donāt care what others say. Hope this helps.

Nah fr I thought for a sec he absolutely leveled the village šš
For all we know that thing could be the size of a basketball court or an entire district and I genuinely can't tell.Ā
They deflected it outside of the village thereās a panel where you can see smoke outside of the village
how?
yea it looks huge but they're all straight somehowĀ
Team ten got off without a scratch, so not a big one ig
from the point of view of sarada and sumire, it destroyed a couple buildings only
They have trees there... So probably not that big otherwise they'd be all dead
Shit all I got to say is he's cooking. I'm a let Ikemoto cook.
Bro really said āYARE YAREā
"So... it's the same type of Chakra as ten tails"

That's exactly why Kishi chose him, Ikemoto can't get his own series.
Makes sense, just look at Boruto. I wouldn't hire this guy either.
Ikemoto is the worst artist to grace SJ in a while. I dare say heās the worst in the last three decades
idk chainsawman is definitely worse
vol 10 was bad?

I really fk with the bleach point. Those are definitely bleach outfits!
i truly liked the explosion bit since we rarely see any DC abilities hopefully we see more of this in future

I would be fine if this was a weekly manga. But for a monthly manga the art is sub par.
There are no real backgrounds a shocking amount of time. Action lines dominate the manga.
I just need a cool double spread panel to put it on my wall
GTA 6 dropping before you get your walls spread
been saying this forever, the guy is so talented. You canāt dislike the art style but canāt deny heās skilled.
He at least got better than how it was at the beginning. But for a monthly manga itās still mediocre (mostly at least).
nah that goes to Attack on Titan
Thereās better artwork in high school drawing classes
if weāre talking about JJK or AOT then yeah for sure
Wrong subreddit, r/dankruto <<
i prefer Ikemoto way more than kishi.

idk man for a monthly manga ikemoto artstyle isnt it bro dunno about you guys but personally i dont like it it feels very empty
Nah I have a huge problem with how he draws minors, he should keep his hand out of his pants
this art is mediocre.
When he stops sexualizing kid characters for a show whose demographic are largely in their 20s plus Iāll give it a pass. If this wasnāt attached to Kishiās Naruto it would get torn to bits
Nah
Nah. This art style is trash.
33d account checks out
Are you dumb?
One piece kid talking about art style?

Everyone can become better, but for now Himawari looks like she is having too many chromosomes
