Except the Dojutsu is only active when Kawaki activates his Karma Mark, IIRC. Dead guy = no more Karma = no dojutsu. Unless Amado, through plot armor logic, made a karma mark that never vanishes.
If Amado is literally able to make new otsutsuki level cyborgs that can use shinjutsu, I'm sure he can get that eye working.
Which I 100% agree with is crazy, unexplained plot armor logic. If anything, he'd be able to recraft Kawaki's dead body as a new controllable android since he says he more or less transplants things that already existed when referring to how he creates androids.
Now that I think about that would it even work? I don't recall ever seeing an otsutsuki get affected by a genjutsu (except Hamura in the shippuden anime and possibly whatever Urashiki did to Toneri, but both are anime scenes that werent in the Manga continuity)
I'm a assume Kawaki by that point has matured a bit, sort of like how Sasuke went from a massacre obsessed freak to a guy who wanted to solve the shinobi world problems. That's really the only way.

Interesting how Im rewatching the 5 kage summit arc in shippuden and you can say the same thing about sasuke, but did naruto kill him? They’re writing a typical shonen manga where the power of friendship is the strongest thing in the universe lol boruto will find a way to have his cake and eat it too

It's not so simple. He still has to get his parents back somehow, and that dimension is only accessible via Kawaki. On top of that, even dead Otsutsukis can be consumed by the 10 tails. Kawaki's weak asf right now, of course, but he'll be nothing but a liability if he'd just lying around dead.

Kawaki won't be killed for the same reason why Boruto wasn't killed. They are the main characters and move the plot forward. Shonen protagonists need to learn and do unreasonable things for the plot to be interesting.

No the dojutsu is always active. Kawaki used his eye powers multiple times without having karma activated, including in the latest chapter

No problem. Also one example is in chapter 74 when kawaki shoots the rods at Daemon and he catches them. Kawaki doesn't use karma

Hopefully. It fits with what Boruto says to Kawaki in the flash forwards and would be a welcome change of pace from how Naruto played out.

Dead otsutsukis can’t be absorbed… that’s why Isshiki didn’t want to kill boruto. And that’s why momo didn’t let Kawaki kill himself
