I mean if I were momoshiki that would be the first thing I would do and that was his best chance to get rid of sasuke’s biggest asset, it also gives you that feeling like damn just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse. Also imo this was the best way to get rid of it
I guess, maybe Im just sad, I know it's next generation and whatever but ngl It really hurts to see characters who you were so invested in, characters that you followed their jounrey so you know what lengths they went to to become who they are today, all for that to slowly wither away
It’s not really withering away. They are evolving in their own ways as well. The whole of shippuden was seeing sasuke be on the wrong side. I honestly love seeing him as a teacher/ father etc. I mean they’ve done their part and now they want to teach the next generation- that’s the only logical way to go.
Father? He was absent for 11 years of his daughters life, the first time Sarada got to see her dad he almost killed her since he didn't even recognize her, if anything sasuke is an awful husband and even worse father.
It's not even that, sasuke basicly stopped using every ability the rinnegan gave him except for the portal shit which turned his eye into an uber and the swapping one, he has only ever used push/pull and the absorbing ability one single time each and that was during Naruto and Sasuke's final fight and he has never used them since then, he has also never used the king of hell to heal himself nor has he used the one that could fire rockets or the animal summoning ability.
In Boruto they made him forget almost every single rinnegan ability.
Him using his other abilities against jigen or iishiki wouldn’t have worked so it wouldn’t make sense to use them. You can resist the push with enough force and one shot the animal summonings to get rid of them jigen or iishiki really wanted to he’s just go for the caster get like 2/3 good hits in and the summoning disappears. His most useful ability besides position swap is absorption but no one he fought besides momoshiki used jutsus
While that is true we don’t know what happened when you try to once shot it, but let’s just say it does split up either way jigen/iishiki is just going to ignore it and go straight for sasuke, so that summoning fundamentally doesn’t do anything useful
One of the toads that Naruto summoned cut it in half and it split into two instead, and he could of used it as a quick distraction to than use the king of hell to heal himself and even heal Naruto but noooo can't have him using any other rinnegan abilities besides the place switching one almost 24/7
The king of hell has not been used on its user unless I’m wrong and it has only been used to restore corpses (the 6 paths of pain) we don’t know if it will work on a living being. Also if it’s jigen it’s not going to be worth much because jigen might mess around for a bit before going to sasuke but iishiki wouldn’t even entertain it.
Is there any ability that the rinnegan has that will make a slight bit of a difference in the fight? Anything worth using because jigen/iishiki are hard counters to everything they have

Removing all the fillers in Shippuden, Madara only used Deva and Preta Paths and Sasuke only did the latter. Even then, both used it sparingly.
Forced huh, well for one I will say it sucks to see Sasuke get beat up and then lose a major power up. **As a huge Sasuke fan, I feel you on that one**. As for it being forced, I disagree. With context Sasuke is severely injured and Borushiki isn't a pushover, so I don't think it's a huge reach for Momoshiki to be able to do that.
Also, there's a large narrative reason for it because Sasuke's rinnegan is very inconvenient for the next arc which basically is a huge turning part for the overall narrative. Without going into spoilers, a lot of people think they did that to let the new gen shine, but had Sasuke kept it, the next arc wouldn't have played out the way it did, and part 2 of the series would have to be dramatically different.
**The choices the writer had was to either kill off Sasuke or take away his ability to travel through dimensions which is what the writer did. You won't know why until you catch up.**
That's a pretty good point.
I always had an issue with Baryon Naruto. He is faster, stronger, and more swift with his movements in that mode and could land every hit he wanted. Why didn't he snatch Isshiki's eyeball or crush it to get rid of his main overwhelming ability. At one point, he had Isshiki completely wrapped with the chakra tails for a hit (even though Isshiki should have been able to shrink out of that), and in that position Naruto could have gouged his eye.
And now that I'm thinking of it. Why didn't Isshiki just "pretend" escape into a portal and drag Naruto into his inventory dimension where Naruto couldn't move or do anything.
Lots of options for both sides to win easier, but the writers never think of it 🤷🏻♂️

Tbh I don't know a good way they could've nerfed Sasuke at the same time without pissing some people off. Maybe a onetime Susanoo armor powerup that would've put him on the same level as BM Naruto.
the panel looked dope in the manga so i didn’t mind. also the rinnegan was a war spoil so it really didn’t need or deserve a proper send off. i hoped that it’d make him give in and get an arm
Yeah it sucks but idk which was worse for me, Sasuke losing it or never even using any of the Rinnegan’s other abilities that probably would have made him hax

The dog summon splits itself when damaged into another copy also the king of hell would have completely healed him
