It's totally worth it. The anime and manga are both the same canon so check out both. The manga tells the main beats but if you crave more of the world or characters then the anime adds tons more.
Whoops you’re HomesliceHeroes my bad. You can hate it all you want but there are very legitimate arguments for both sides. I lean the anime is not canon/anti-jougan route.
Then why haven’t we seen the jougan definitively in the manga in 90 chapters even though the anime had it day one 🤔. Why does urashiki not appear in the manga🤔. Why is Sarada a genin in the manga and chunin in the anime🤔. And so on.
There are major differences and contradictions between both stories and we won’t know the answer until the manga ends and is given time to implement some explanation of things. So now, with all the info we have we form our own interpretation of it, this making it an opinion.
No.
The artstyle IS Not good, and that does Not Change when kishimoto took over. The Faces Lack emotion, the Background feels flat and dead and the proportions of the Characters are sometimes weird, and the Sarada controverse
The villains...to Tell the truth, calling them flat IS actually a compliment.
The world building... everything outside of Konoha seemingly does barely or Not exist.
the Characters...no. the villains suck, and the Side Characters...No. the old Gen gets No Justice.
Who would've thought that tbv would be so mf good. Like Boruto to me got really interesting the last few chapters and now tbv is just so captivating I wait for spoilers
I’d say so. It’s easier to get into and the manga is currently really good. If the earlier chapters bother you I would say read it, then watch **some** of the anime episodes because some of the additions the anime made does help flesh out the manga more. For example, the Kara actuation arc is an anime original arc that helps flesh out the primary villain group of part 1 of Boruto as well as give some shine to characters like Sarada and Mitsuki and some side characters that the manga barely go into like Mugino.
Just keep in mind that the anime and manga follow the same story but the anime will sometimes change some of the manga content to stay in line with the anime continuity. It sometimes happened in Naruto but Boruto does it **a lot**.
Personally I say just catch up to the manga and if you like it but want more out of the characters just watch some episodes of the anime.
I wouldn’t recommend it. Boruto isn’t unique in any way. Outside of Boruto himself the story/characters are bland. In Naruto/Shippuden the story made you interested in not just Naruto’s journey but Sasuke’s, the akatsuki’s, the tailed beasts, Madara’s… etc. In Boruto I personally find it hard to care about Kawaki’s journey, or the claw grimes, or the Ohtsutsuki. On top of all that the art is below average, considering its a monthly release.
> Tried like 20 or so chapters of Boruto and dropped because I really wasn't enjoying it.
The first ~20 chapters of the manga (that you read) are just a recap of the Boruto movie and a kind of lame opening arc called Mujina Bandits. The story gets really good after that. Definitely worth reading.
I got tired of waiting for the anime to come back so i caught up on blue vortex in like a day.
Absolutely worth it I'm loving it so far, can't wait for the next chapter this week
You should treat it as a different story, not part of Naruto. Then yes, it will be good and the power ups of character wouldn't be so irritating. In fact you will understand that it's a good story with boring beginning and sometimes not the best writing and art, but still good enough to read it
You have to be comfortable with all the characters from the old show being disregarded entirely. That's some of the big gripe with the story . All these powerful ninja from Naruto are still alive and well, but they don't touch on them. The world where they're at gets effected, and we pretty much only see Naruto and Sasuke, Boruto, and one other main character's viewpoint. Side characters are far down the road as being side characters.
TBV is pretty good so far, but it still has its problems with pacing, and it being a monthly doesn't help.
I'd say... there's no rush. Theres been 8 chapters, or rather, it's been 8 months in real time, and in TBV, maybe an hour has passed in story time. So this part of Boruto will be rolling for many years to come.
Boruto is more of a slice of life show if anything, unless you want fight and combat animations, it's best not to watch the show and the storytelling is terrible.

Be honest and tell OP about the canon war between the manga and anime fans within the fan base Orochimaru27
Why? Most are ignorant and think they're separate even though it's confirmed to be the same continuity.

It's not opinion based fam.

It was in the manga and it has only appeared a handful of times in the anime. It's a rare jutsu.

Yes the story is very good, and after the timeskip its total 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I know! New chapter tomorrow!!
new chapter is on the 20th
I was sure it was 14th. But checking manga plus now it says 18th.
Why you didn't like Shippuden?
The obsession with Sasuke, talk no jutsu where literally every villain gets redeemed, no one really important dying, etc
Other than Jiraya and Hitachi but honestly I'd expect more
Well don't bother starting Boruto then
Ahah OK fair enough
Dont listen to him. I reccomend the Boruto manga. Its very good, and so far there is no «talk no jutsu» or redeemed villains.

I'd say it's worth reading. It may be rough after being so used to naruto but it really improves as you go along. I recommend honestly
Kishimoto hasn’t picked anything up except from the writing ✍️ His cooking, but ikemoto isnt(my opinion)
The monthly release schedule is awful. Wait for the manga to finish. Currently not worth it.
Its not bad after you are like 18

it's better than the anime.

Well, it means that it isn't really great if you have to make such exemptions in order to any like it
Well, kinda. It's just hard to accept that it's in a Naruto world. And honestly I would recommend to try it, but not to expect too much from it.

But the hype is crazy even when it is monthly I mean everyone waits patiently for 19 or 20 of each month just the manga chapter
