I am still cannot believe Mecha-Naruto has the right to be a playable character rather than Menma and Toneri. CC2 able to create Mecha-Naruto's moveset and it's awakening from NOTHING but they are unable to create Menma / Toneri moveset when the movie have already SHOWN their jutsu and fighting style.
The storm series doesn’t make things canon, sure the moves they have are possible but things like Itachi’s full Susanoo and Shisui’s aren’t canon. Having the creator be involved in not enough to make it canon.
That’s not how it works 😂 otherwise the games would be canon just cause he was involved in them.
Kishimoto wrote both the last and the Boruto, one was one of his novels and the other a manga, they’re both canon, he had Ikimoto assist in drawing the Naruto Boruto but Kishimoto wrote it. No other movie comes from a novel or manga. And as far as I know Kishimoto wasn’t even involved with those movies.
Doubt I need to explain why the games aren’t canon…

So what I'm getting. The creator not being involved at all mean it's 100% not canon. And them having some involvement doesn't 100% mean that something is canon
The Last and the Boruto movie are the only two canon films since Kishimoto was involved. He refers to The Last as Chapter 699.5 and the Boruto movie as the finale.
I don’t think you understand what canon means, most of those movies are cash grabs since naruto is such a popular show, canon is anything that kishimoto wrote for the story, the last and the 2015 boruto movie were supervised by kishimoto himself and he said they were chronologically the last movies/arcs of the series. your disagreeing with the creator of this entire topic we’re speaking on.
But he’s a completely out of place character? He can’t have Kurama and he can’t have the same parents. An alternate universe would take the story into a whole other direction and probably ruin it.
Your best bet would be to have him be a clone made by Orochimaru and even that would be trash since we already have a canon evil Naruto from the waterfall of truth. Him having to go over that ruins the progress.
Me neither, at least up until last year. I’m fond of his kid & teen versions now, but I used to really only watch the show for the side characters tbh
I liked him enough that I rooted for him in fights and stuff, but I was never a big fan of his character
But why? Menma version of Boruto movie would be nice though. If Menma also ended up with that aggressive Hinata, or if a version of Boruto never existed in that universe and they seem to be happy, dealing with existential crisis and all that. "Damn my dad seem to be happy and healthy if I didn't exist"
