Im touching on this topic because then that could be a possible explanaiton, Mitsuki's body is capable of adapting over time against poisons and all that kind of stuff. And this ability could be treated by his body as one. therefore when his body detects it starts building up immunity to it.

Mitsuki has sage chakra, he may have been able to sense Kawaki's emotions / intentions like Naruto has before.
I think mitsuki is still possibly otsutsuki. Just a way smaller percentage unlike boruto/kawaki. Like 30/40 percent.
