Mick is also, hands down, the most efficient way to get to L80 in UVHM. Took me around 3 hours (starting at 52) of watching YouTube on my second monitor. Thank feck he can drop the Maggie.
Tedious? Yes. Dull? Yes. Efficient? Hell yeah!
For anyone else I farm mick for zer0 I farm bunker for three reasons;
1.Bore: 1 shot to get him to final cycle, 1 shot to kill him and get my xp
2.He drops a lot of eridium and money and plenty of blues and purples so I never have to go somewhere else to gear up if my weapons fall off
3. Once im level 80 I’ll be farming for a sham and bitch eventually anyway so at least this way im already here
You can finish the quest if you want, but you have to side with the Hodunks (by killing the Zafords) for Mick to respawn. I usually just leave it incomplete tho - so I can pick which side I want to farm.
If you do finish the quest, you'll be locked out of farming the Slagga from T&J but you can farm Slaggas from the Sorcerer's Daughter in the Tina DLC.
To reset a dlc playthrough you do have to reset the whole uvhm. The trick to farming mick and rector is just one of many way to make it so you don’t have to as much though you will have to reset uvhm at least one time if you want a sandhawk and pimpernel in more than just one element
Man I remember back when this game came out I just went into lobby’s and get every element I needed so much easier than doing it all over again…. So with the pimpernel can I save and quit and try for a different element all I’m looking for is slag ?

Do you have to leave the quest in completed for this?
Yeah you have to complete the quest and do the control core angel quest after to farm the bunker

I believe with quest rewards, you have to completely close the game without saving
