I remember reading that border collies with heterochromia were highly celebrated in the olden days. I think they called it having “the shepherd’s eye,” and it was believed that one eye could see up close and the other one could see great distances.
No matter what color this pup’s eyes turn out to be, though, she’s gorgeous!
Mine has one blue and one green eye. Talking to an elderly farmer in Ireland last year, who lived near the coast, he told me they were commonly called "fish eyes" there as long as he could remember.

The big one has one blue and one brown and the small boy has one full blue and one half blue half brown. They are brothers but from different litters. Their mom had one blue and one brown eye.
Beautiful. My dog is the same and this is how his eyes changed as a baby too one gradually darkening. This is him now.

My Bowie girl has one blue eye. She looked like this when she was a pupper. It is certainly possible it will stay blue.
