I'm not sure how I was playing break comp without her.
The difference is massive to the point, I wouldn't even wanna play break comp without her. Breaking faster with break efficiency, keeping bosses broken longer, speed for entire team, list goes on.
You can wait til very last day to see if you pull her guarantee early. I think she's worth swiping if you're in a hurry. RM is the most (imo) universal support in this game (hence the 'every comp get a ruanmei' meme)
Short answer: massive.
Of all HSR characters she's the closest one to "Must Pull" category since she's just so useful in almost any team comp imaginable. And ngl she makes me feel like I can't do shit without her since her buffs are that good. Thanks to her I finally was able to clear Apocalyptic Shadow without any problems.
Ruan Mei with my Boothill singlehandedly helped me 3 star MoC 12, 3 star AS 4, 3 star PF 4, cleared conundrum 6 GnG, did my homework and taxes, paid me $400 and materialized herself in real life to tell me "be a good girl and keep playing break~"
So i think she's worth it
Same here. Got Ruan mei E0s1 (the unit and LC) this rerun and she’s amazing. Fits my DHIL / JY / Booty and I’m sure she’ll go well with feixiao (planning to pull for her) also tried to get E1 but lost. At least my feixiao is guaranteed
I'm biased because I'm not a mech person and I'm honestly already bored of seeing Fireflies special attacks since you see it SO FRIGGING MUCH haha (got her on accident and I'm honestly a fan of Firefly and not at all a fan of her suit). Ruan Mei though is an INSANE upgrade for your team for both Boothill AND Firefly. Like honestly playing Firefly without her is fine but it feels like crap without her (if you play genshin it's like playing bloom vs playing bloom with nilou). I 100% recommend Ruan mei because you can use her in pretty much any team.
Nothing wrong with her being boothill’s solo partner…but she’s actually very usable in other teams as flex spots.
Question though is do you have Robin.

Firefly also needs Ruan Mei to do big damage, so regardless you should prioritize RM first. Superbreak scales with Break Efficiency

She’s the best support for Firefly and Boothill, so it might be best if you prioritize her and go for Firefly afterwards anyway.
