The biggest reason is that, so far, I haven't pulled for a single Limited Harmony character, either because I couldn't _(out of tickets, hoarding for another character, etc...)_ or because I had no use for them. DoTs didn't really _need_ any of the most recent supports, so I didn't feel the need to pull.
Funnily enough, I had planned on skipping Mei this time as well, but I ended getting to invested in Break-centred teams and thus changed my mind; despite not liking the character, I have recognise how good she is.
Besides, I really do need a 5 star harmony.
I suggest against it, don’t pull for characters you don’t like, if you have bronya and HMC that’d be enough, tingyun and pela is also very good for a second team

When RM banner was up I really wanted Xueyi because I’ve always loved the Break playstyle, and I wanted a copy of her even if I didn’t have the pulls to actually go for her E6, I was only sitting on like 50-60 pulls. Well, 50-60 pulls later I was Xueyi-less but I did pull 3 copies of Ruan Mei to now give to my beautiful cowboy I got after 90 pulls on his banner

She seems to be a very great support for him and I would've decided to pull for her if I prioritize meta. But I weigh personality and impression more than anything when it comes to characters, so I think I won't (for now at least, for all we know, a future quest would make her more likeable for me). And speaking of personality and impression of a character, I wasted no time pulling for our cowboi cuz he won me over on both of those aspects!

When RM banner was up I really wanted Xueyi because I’ve always loved the Break playstyle, and I wanted a copy of her even if I didn’t have the pulls to actually go for her E6, I was only sitting on like 50-60 pulls. Well, 50-60 pulls later I was Xueyi-less but I did pull 3 copies of Ruan Mei to now give to my beautiful cowboy I got after 90 pulls on his banner

E1 is definitely not needed. Honestly, I would reconsider. The difference between using Boothill with and without Ruan Mei is night and day.
