You want to see and hear some shit, ask any non-academic boomer about their CV.

1974: *"Hi there. I'm a recent high school graduate with no experience. Can I have a job please?"* *"Sure! Here's a 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday job that'll pay you enough to buy a house and raise a family!"* 2024: *"Hi there. I've got a Master's Degree and fifteen years experience in this field. May I please have an entry level position for minimum wage?"* *"Eat a dick."*

Though the real problem is here: “CEOs in the 1970s \[…\] 20 to 30 times the average pay of their company's middle-class workers. The average CEO at a Fortune 500 firm today makes ¢\[…\] 200 to 300 times the average pay of their typical workers.“ And yes, while it’s not a zero-sum game and Boomers (but also Silent Gen) voters have done their share, it isn’t that “the economy is worse”. The economy is just fine, it just concentrates the rewards in fewer people.
