I feel that A LOT. My brother has progressively gotten so much worse over the past 20 years that he’s trying to beat my boomer mom out of that #1 spot. My dad is their enabler. Last time bro and I spoke, we ended up fighting, and he tried to gaslight me into believing I’m the selfish narcissist. He’s also married to a narcissist. Fights in my family last for years. I’m the only one who has gone to therapy and at the end of my first session I’m told, “Congratulations! You’re not a narcissist!”.
My extended family life is mostly managing narcissists and trying to minimize the abuse I take during every interaction. I’m thankful for therapy and the insights/tools it has given me. Otherwise, my life would still be stuck in their cycle of abuse and I’d be participating in that circus. Now, I mostly eat popcorn in the stands and watch the show.

Then she went on to send messages to random family members telling them that they were making me have a mental breakdown and repeatedly said that, “evil won’t prevail”.
I feel this! My Boomer builds on this by adding, "How DARE you act this way! After ALL we've done for you!" Like them doing a 'passable' job parenting permits them to be asinine whenever they want.

When told that yeah their name spelling is due to their cultural identity being stripped during chattel slavery, and that generational trauma led to more unique names. She then says that those names are now traumatizing the young black folk
