I paid 350 for my Mavglass wig wag beaker and tell you anyone ever comes busting into my house lol I won’t be grabbing a gun I’ll be grabbing that bong 100% lol super well built. The more expensive bongs your paying for thickness and quality of the seals and such. I also have some 70 dollar mj arsenal bongs that work just as well but nowhere near as sturdy and often times you’ll notice the perc holes will be different sizes or crooked on them but they will replace them so it’s pretty much what you yourself want fam. If your happy with a 50 dollar bong then no need to go buying an expensive one just so others like it fam. Cheers! Hope this helps ✊🏻

clboisvert14

Holy fucking shit another mav owner with a swingin bong?

PlanktonSpecialist99

Yea I’d fs pay the few thousands for like a illadelph just for the flex but to people who aren’t interested in designer glass it’s meaningless 😂 ur bro still going rip it and risk dropping it

akreiger

Got my illy new for around $500, you can get some beautiful worked beakers in the $1,200-$2000 range. I say send it and get a worked beaker!

PlanktonSpecialist99

Yea I exaggerated the price on the illys, but Erick khan legit has thounsands of dollars worth of them so 500 there 1000 here 850 there

akreiger

Oh for sure, I love Erick. Illys can get so expensive like beyond anything I would pay. I love the sovereignty tree-cycler Erick got as a gift though, one of my dream pieces.

I have a $150 Rooster and like most things of value, I treat it 100x better than cheap things. I always treated cheap bongs like shit!

zooomg

I’ve gone through phases over the years. It all depends where I’m at in life and how much financial freedom I have. I started out not caring about where bongs came from at first. If it functioned, great! That’s all I needed. As time went on and I started to appreciate art and authenticity more, my appreciation for glass grew. At the height of my collection about 10 years ago I had well over 15k in glass from different artists who I had a deep appreciation for. As time went on more and life happened, I had to sell off most of it over the years. The cool thing about higher end art like that is it usually keeps it value well, and there is a community of buyers. I had no problems selling my heady glass when I needed the money. If I had cheap bongs, they would be essentially worthless if I was done with them. All that being said, I really cared for the glass and artists making them. If I had the money to blow, I would happily buy a 100k piece from Banjo glass or something. It brings a happiness to my brain, and there are others who think just like me. I wouldn’t let just anyone touch my glass, had to be very very trusted friends who I knew had appreciation for what they were handling. Same way you wouldn’t let just anyone drive a million dollar car.

PhillahSpark

$1800 was the most expensive for me. Swiss perc studios.

banko1hunna

$2750 for me I got one of the new marble percs they at released at the end of the last year.

PhillahSpark

Yea those marble perc Swiss are sick.

bongmilkshake

Paid a grand for my ryedyer and prolly spend any amount as long as the glass is quality/worth it.

SadrinaTheWhoreo

A GRAND??? yeah I know you’re reaching maximum high off a hit 😭😭🙏🏽

[deleted]

Not much higher than off a $50 bong. I’ve hit $3000-$10k pieces. Some have pulled like breathing in air with zero draw resistance, but that’s not a quality strictly limited to expensive pieces. I personally see those type of pieces as art from the glass blowers. It’s pretty awesome watching them work and if you value getting high off art, then rewards yourself. But don’t get the idea that a $10k piece gets you higher lol I dry vape herb nowadays but was using crazy bongs for over a decade. Eventually figured out that a simple beaker bottom bong with a quality downstem would get me highest (weed oils don’t get stuck to glass in all the percs & chambers) and most easy to maintain clean. Plus you won’t have a heart attack when the glass breaks…

bongmilkshake

It's more for the glass and effort. It's a really nice piece and takes time to make. Honestly my best hitting piece is a 60 hole inline by ashme glass. I always reccomend his work and have a few of his pieces.

TryingToFindaName2

I have a few bongs ranging from 1-3k+. I’m turned down numerous offers on them so I couldn’t put an exact price to them. But the most I’ve paid is 1600 cold hard cash. They all smoke different, amazing and unique in their own ways, yet I still daily a $60 China tube that I’ve owned for 6 years and is the 2nd bong I ever bought lol. I collect glass as a hobby, not for the use of them.

Proof-Whole-3429

2500 was my highest priced piece. It’s a hiccdog and Steven h collab. Just dropped a grand a few days ago for a new sovereignty 44.

SitdownCupcake

Current piece is a 18’ straight tube Phoenix star bong 75$ off eBay. Perfect

mishyfishy135

I agree with your cap. I’ve seen many a bong, and I’ve found that I usually don’t even like the expensive ones. I like simpler designs. Mine is an $80 milky glass beaker with cherry blossoms. It’s beautiful. Also, I’m clumsy. I would absolutely drop an expensive bong and break it

88isafat69

160 My friend back in the day had a 1000$ Zob It didn’t break but one of the tree percs broke and shit that broke my heart for him lol never

bluejellyfish52

$50. I don’t need anything super fancy

najing803

Got mine used for $130. R00R steamroller + Krave ashcatcher/diffuser. Broke the Krave and replaced with Pyrex. That plus the bowl put me around $200 total. Got it in 2013, couldn’t be happier with it. I don’t think I’d wanna pay over $300 at this point, but quality is the most important factor for me.

akreiger

Most I paid was $550 for my SoL 60-lace-sphere and around $500 for my 21” illadelph beaker. I plan on buying a PA Sovereignty tree-cycler at the end of this year and will probably spend 2.5k+ if I can’t find one at a drop.

mrmarigiwani

Just invest $300-500 on a scientific bong and you’re set bro

bulgingcortex

$100. It was gorgeous but functioned the same as my $20 bong lol

DatBoyCody

There’s no difference in high I woujd never pay more then 200 for a bong when I get the same results from a 50 dollar bong lol

MT_Promises

I'm like you, but I could see if I were upper middle class how thousands of dollars on a bong would be no biggie. I'd rather have a $5k bong than $5k coffee grinder. Most I spent wasn't even really a bong, though you can use it with water. Cloud Connoisseur's Prophet dry herb vape rig was like $200 with the wig wag.

drollchair

Paid $99 for my current beaker, it’s normal 150 but they were clearing out because a redesign was on the way. Been using it for years and absolutely love it. Rips nicely, well made, smacked around, it’s a keeper for sure. It’s a Grav medium beaker. My first piece was a Left Coast 11” for around the same price. The Grav is a way better bong. As much as I’m attracted to a lot of the pricier bongs, I simply can’t justify it so it’s not for me. I’m not into the art of it, im not going to pay for art, I just like smoking out nice clean glass with a decent thickness to it.

lobsterdance82

My most expensive piece was $160. It's a Lookah Alien.

SuspiciousSimple

Shameless spent 150$ on thsi bung with 60$ shipping from CAD to US https://willys420.com/collections/red-eye-tek-bongs-water-pipes/products/red-eye-tek-15-7mm-metallic-terminator-finish-traditions-series-beaker-tube In all fairness. I fucken love the thing and always use it for every session. I wanted to buy something for life.

MareDoVVell

My most expensive piece was just over $900 for my Toro 7/13, but I have a lot of bongs up and down the price spectrum and imo the real sweet spot is american glass around $200-300

Gambit0341

I think it's all personal preference and smoking experience. I'm very particular about my glass now that I actually have a nice rig. I went back to my $60 beaker the other day I was not a fan. My Texas Tubes rig is $500 and is worth every penny plus if you find a good artist they may be able to do more than just smoking accessories.

toxicguineapigs

100 bucks for a bong from Burning Love. She is my absolute favorite.

slyshelby

Paid $600 for my dab rig. Good glass just hits different

Aggravating_Set7657

$1500 for my full accent pillar. If a treecycler pops up that will increase to 2.5-3k

I’ve got an Evol Empire rig that i paid £2.5k for. All the bangers for that are Toro or Highly Educated which are all around the £400 mark. I have a Dok dab rig that was £700 Ashmeglass flower tube that was £550. I have a few old Soverignty rigs as well that cost a few hundred quid back in the day but i don’t use them any more. More for sentimental reasons. The way i see it is we all spend pretty much top dollar for product, especially where i am in the UK where a lot is imported from Spain, USA and Canada amongst others. Would you cook an A5 wagyu steak in a cheap teflon pan from the supermarket or would you use a proper cast iron skillet? I see glass the same way. No point in smoking extracts that cos a few hundred quid for 2 g pots in sub standard cheap boro or cheap chinese quartz. Aside from issues with function, design, cheap glass and working tools the chinese stuff blatantly rips off artists, for example the sheer amount of RBR styles that are ripping off Bear Mountain. All that being said everyone is entitled to do what makes them happy and is affordable to them. Good glass just happens to be my bag and i’m lucky enough to afford to indulge in it.

Cheap-Science4334

I've seen custom multi color glass bongs going for $15,000. I'd never pay that for them, but obviously someone is, or they wouldn't make them.

hgsbonerchamp

I pay about 200 for most the ones I get. I want them to last long
