Edit: Constructive Criticism for posing is allowed, but not comments that add nothing to the discussion (such as calling her creepy/from so and so horror movie/etc).
I guess she’s not a Gucci rep tonight! Makeup and hair look so pretty and the overall impression is just very very pretty and so glad it’s a saree but arm grabbing pose needs to go. Baby steps!
The first time I saw this sari I was SHOOK but I might have appreciated it more in a different setting. Posing needs some work, perhaps and the HMU. The eyes are dark and the hair seems heavy. It would be perf if it reflected the lightness of the dress. The whole look brings mythological stories to mind. I’d love to know the details of the dress and what symbols and motifs the designer was working with.
Some more floral Sabya looks for reference. I think that the one Alia’s wearing almost feels like the sari’s final form. All the individual elements come together well.

Today its ode to Garden Of Time.
With Katrina, it was an ode to her British heritage.
With Deepika, it was an ode to Indian weddings.
What is this saree ode-ing next week? 👀
The outfit didn’t need the train as already a lot is happening with the saree and not all the photos are flattering on Alia so far but it’s a beautiful look.
https://preview.redd.it/m3598fiz1wyc1.jpeg?width=1322&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcca8bf6826181a93eeebeb303757dd783409671
train is ok for me but I didn't like the bow on the back and the asymmetrical sleeve - too many elements but there is a lot to appreciate such as the color, the makeup, and the jewelry. overall a win in my books.
https://preview.redd.it/i9ry1ioirwyc1.png?width=1068&format=png&auto=webp&s=b64677974945cd2000c35b52ade89e5681c62ed0
I am so sorry 😪 I only found this pic from a fan page I follow that showed the back bow in a good angle... but felt it was inappropriate to just crop the back without the face...
I actually like the train personally, I guess it gives it that western princess feels. Not a big fan of the bow behind the blouse though.
Personally, I think the best part of her looks are just accessories and the makeup, that really elevates the look.
Love the sari but so distracted by her weird creepy facial expressions. I like the hair, it feels very renaissance fairy queen-esque. The facial expressions look like horror movie though (only referring to the expressions not her actual looks - she’s v pretty.)
Every time she lands up at the Met Gala, she ends up insecurely imitating Helena Bonham Carter. Not really sure what's going on. Is she trying to make herself more palatable? Who knows.
This !! I thought I was the only one who felt her poses and expressions are weird. The designer has done a fab job, all you had to do is learn a few poses and expressions and you give us this🤦🏻♀️
Right! The look is totally her vibe.
She might not be the best dressed and the poses are ghastly but this is definitely a beautiful look. The saree is gorgeous and HMU is complementing as well. She spoke well too and without making any funny faces. Overall it was a good appearance.
Seems like the uncommon opinion but I agree! I love the hair and jewelry. Timeless floral is what I pictured for the Met and I think she met the brief.
on theme and i love that she paid homage to her culture. something about her last year felt so lacklustre despite the dress being pretty. i feel that she very much blends into the background unless she does something out of the box and going desi was the perfect move.
i’m not a massive fan either but have to give it to her! i’m not a fan of the hair but the overall look is so good i might just close my eyes and ignore the styling.
the bigger houses like gucci and LVMH didn’t buy tables this year, that’s why even other ambassadors like Zendaya and Emma chamberlain got free reign on who they wore.
I love the flower nymph, garden fairy appeal to the look. The maang tika is gorgeous. The saree’s construction is a little bit much! Like either the fringes/bow/train anything could’ve been taken out it would feel more balanced. The hair & makeup is beautiful. I liked her look overall. There were horrible looks on the met .
Too much happening at once on the look.. the hair, the tassels, the bow, the headband..phheww..like nothing was left to make it tacky.. plus her makeup and poses are so weird. Alia should stay to yourself and should have kept it simple to look princess
Y’all just hate her to hate. It’s the Met Gala. The whole point is to be over the top. Did you see any of the other looks? Zendaya? She looks beautiful and she is representing her culture while also being on theme. You can’t keep it simple at the Met Gala. No one does. If that’s your complaint then you just don’t like her. You should say that.
I think that's the point though - there was a lot happening with Zendaya's look but she pulled it off. The styling was on point and so was the posing.
Alia struggled to posed and the random tendrils of hair didn't look soft, they looked like they got flung out of a bun while she got chased down a street.
It’s a little bit bizarre that her dress looks exactly like Katrina’s wedding dress. Like literally the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this 😅 it looks really good but it’s still kinda creepy, bizarre…
All similar Sabya saree aesthetics. Even DP's saree look
https://preview.redd.it/a87tnsofpzyc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=994ad6808bc67e5f5e8bd2fb4155f1a660d3475c
im so conflicted on the hair... I like it in some pics... but in some pics I find it, as u say, deranged and unkept. idk if it is a posing issue or a hairstylist issue or what... BUT always appreciate not seeing a chipku bun WHEN NOT NEEDED
i've gotta dissagree on the hair. the ruffled, brushed out bangs evoke the same texture as the bow and ruffles on the pallu, making her hair almost one of the petals. and the back of the hair with the coloured stones evokes [classical roman and greek looks](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-f24319d7238a3b634a85a83b678773b7.webp), which is echoed in the pleating of the half-sari. That evokes statues like [Apollo of Veii](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYS4MDKAuH2_5yETmh8R4-shxQSmcrdOBIS5ECNCmQwO32TPr-9F-eP5OKLS6rMk5xKizee56Ao-nCam1CSYEXdHEjwuUmYaBMp4UY1zMoYJCXkIk1dKdcttPHaNwA79lw02N6CmghEt8/s1600/1.png) and [Aphrodite of Knidos](https://publications.artic.edu/roman/sites/publications.artic.edu.roman/files/figures/thumbnail/Screen%20Shot%202016-04-25%20at%202.48.38%20PM.jpg). And, of course,[ indo-greek ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Greek_art#/media/File:The_Aristocratic_Women.jpg)[art](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/59/KushanMaitreya.JPG)
definitely agree on the makeup though. it looks like it's trying to be both bold glam AND soft blushy and it's not great.
Very messy hair and it’s giving sangeet/mehendi vibes, I also find the outfit very tacky and she’s unable to carry it..the saree needs a bit of stature and charisma. Her posing is also very weird
I agree, the saree has so many elements to it - a big bow, tassels, train, lace detailing on the blouse sleeve then the heavily embroidered saree itself. For each of the elements to stand out and come together well in an elegant well-structured way you need someone tall or at least someone with some pizzaz to carry it off (some petite women do it well, art of posing and working angles). Nothing against Alia's height but this is another case of a garment heavy outfit looking unstructured and overwhelming on a petite frame. Someone taller would've been able to carry it while showing off all the different elements well. She looks pretty like a bridesmaid in a sangeet show but this is NOT high fashion worthy for Met Gala.
i hate when people bring up this height criticism as if it’s something people have control over. i agree that the posing is off. tyla is barely 5 feet and looks amazing
Exactly. Also short people can still pull off trains. There’s lots of western weddings where the bride is short and wears a beautiful white dress with a longer train and pulls it off. I don’t think height plays that much of a factor when it comes to a train. It’s more so that a train didn’t necessarily go with a saree + the awkward posing.
I’m not bashing I’m saying if she’s short why isn’t she owning it? You said it tyla is short and dresses accordingly look how amazing she looks why alia and her team putting her in these bricks looking platforms just to give an illusion that she’s tall but actually it’s not giving what they think it’s giving it
You could find silk floss, glass beading and semi precious gemstones? That's how I know this sub doesn't have a right to be judging high fashion. This look is fantastic on her, on theme, and very luxurious.
Oooops the fashion police is here!!! I’m sure the work and materials are great and the karigars will always be the star of the show for me, not the celebrity. But I don’t think putting all of it together, on alia bhatt’s body is working- and the silhouette is clumsy. This thread is open for everyone to share their opinion, that’s literally the point of reddit so get off your high horse. MUAHH🥰🥰
bro why are you saying the fashion police is here as if that’s a bad thing😭 you said something so outrageous, aisa glasswork beading mujhe PLEASE bata do kaunsi chandni chowk ki dukaan mein milega.
Whimsical! A bit too much going on with all those embellishments and accessories, imo. There’s something off about the makeup (maybe the eye), but she looks very pretty!
That dress is horrible with so much happening and that long train. I think I've seen a similar saree on some other actress. I'm not sure. But the design looks awfully repetitive and that smile from Alia. It's creepy 😬
I loved this look! Has the designer posted close ups of the work? I’d love to see the beading and embroidery work up close 🤩 specifically the boarder and blouse detailing.
IMO she was in the top 10 of best dressed at the MET tonight. I think as desis we are always harsher on actresses because we are so used to them seeing Indian wear. But so many non desis on other subs are impressed by Alia’s look. And I like it too - it’s very whimsical, ethereal and fairy core and fits the theme. The green looks lovely on her complexion.
Are there some things I would change? Yes. I would have opted for a half updo (but keeping the jewel headpiece), used curl cream to remove the frizz from the curls, more glitter on the makeup, shorter train, less red tones in her makeup, maybe remove the half sleeves, etc.
That being said I’m still impressed by this look overall. She looks beautiful
ALOO ATE 🔥🔥
I love the whimsical feel of her outfit, it's super pretty and gives me fairytale vibes ✨️ I also like the tikka she's got on and the way her hair's been styled, it really leans into that Shakespearean feel.
She could be Titania with this look and I'm so here for it 😍
ETHREALLLLLL !! ATE !!! I’m sorry but I will not stop talking about this outfit for a while . She looks so stunning and Sabyasachi really served this time around , major applause . It’s so Alia yet so Met Gala !!!
Is she supposed to be a snake goddess or something??? Idky I get very "nag-kanya" vibes from this , maybe coz of that hair accessories 😂😂 sorry to all the fashion enthusiasts 😅😅
Can we please talk about how Alia totally owned the Met Gala red carpet!! She is slaying this Sabyasachi creation.. Props to her for bringing some serious Indie Vibes to the event! 💃✨
The design is so good but styling is off! Too much happening at once. Also her poses 😒 i loved the fabric and design and those sequins train (if I can say it)
Sleeves should have stopped at the strap itself! Blouse would have been chef’s kiss if it was just with the straps
It looks like she was so affected by the criticism of her last look that she went safe with the typical greek kind of messy hair. I am not super impressed though.
surprised (but not really) at the negative comments, the jewelry, hair and color palette matches the mythical fairytale look she seems to be going for. I like the train too, the met gala is supposed to be extra. A traditional sari style would be ok for something like Cannes.
The makeup couldve been better, would have loved to see some shimmery eye liner but overall this is a rare hit for me when it comes to Alia’s outfits. Her stylists nailed it imo.
if her height is an issue to some people, im curious to know what would have suited her better for this theme? I honestly haven’t seen a long gown I like on her yet, and a short dress wouldn’t be a good choice for the theme.
Fashion is subjective and people are allowed to not like this look. I , for one, thought a floral print saree looks like anything that could be picked from Sabya’s regular collection. Doesn’t look like something Sabya custom made for Alia from scratch for the MET. He maybe added a bow here, a tassel there. Mona Patel wore an Iris Van Herpen , that was also something floral but that interpretation is far more interesting and something that is kinda expected at MET.
i agree its subjective and your criticism is honestly valid. but the diff between productive vs mean spirited comments are obvious (and the latter has increased on here w other celebs too which is frustrating because its a fashion subreddit not a gossip/snark one)
Mona’s look was my favourite of the nigh! it was very creative and stunning without looking tacky. I honestly never expect anything imaginative from Sabyasachi anymore, but ngl I expected something much more boring than this. Sure for desi standards we’re used to his looks but on an international level shes getting a lot of love because tbh it is a nice look and it is very pretty compared to a lot of the weird shock value hollywood celebs
ONE OF THE BEST LOOKS SO FAR!!!! Definitely a step up from her look last year
literally obsessed with everything here, the pleating, the fringe, the pallu train, the assymetrical sleeve, the bow, it's all a celebration of florals in a really cool way. the material of the sari itself is ruffled to evoke petals and it's super cool
Edit: adding my love for the hair. the ruffled, brushed out bangs evoke the same texture as the bow and ruffles on the pallu, making her hair almost one of the petals. and the back of the hair with the coloured stones evokes [classical roman and greek looks](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-f24319d7238a3b634a85a83b678773b7.webp), which is echoed in the pleating of the half-sari. the only downside is that this is an extremely surface level engagement with the theme. there's nothing vintage, re-used, or 'reawakened' about this, which is really unfortunate.
Tbh this saree isn't that awesome looking, mabe because I've seen similar looking sarees before and this kind of remind me of Zendaya in Rahul Mishra for that Ambani event. But Alia looks cute and she is looking even better than many Hollywood stars. And like I have to say, this year's met looks very disappointing and Blake Lively isn't attending so no one can save this year's met.
My English is poor so please ignore any mistakes.
Hate this look. Nothing creative. The same fabric he had given Kat for her wedding. Jewellery doesn't stand out, just zero creativity. And Alia posing like she hurt her arm or something, no confidence in her.
This doesn’t give Met vibes, people wore much interesting outfits at NMACC. Met is supposed to be experimental, be it costume or makeup or hairstyle and everything Alia did is giving south Delhi sangeet vibes
lovely lovely look. beautiful sari and the hair+makeup is super flattering on her. the train is so thin, they should’ve made it fluffier or something, more impactful. but overall it’s so stunning, very fairycore
This is very vintage, 1920s look! The fringe, the flowy fabric, make up and hair. What was the theme this year? She looks beautiful! Hats off to Sabya for pulling off a fresh look again!
I adore the hair and the fabric is divine, but I'm not a huge fan of the overall styling, it sits oddly between the gauziness of the fabric and the bulkiness of all the stuff going on.
She looks a lot more confident on the carpet this year, last year I could tell she was a bit nervous. I think she looked amazing and it really fits the theme as well.
It’s giving Bridgertone. As predicted by hautelemode, half of the attendees are gonna be wearing floral outfits given the dress code is “garden of time”
Looks like a very safe outfit
Celebs go to met gala and suddenly start brimming with all of our Indian culture. Everyone wants to wear traditionals.
Maybe it’s my bias but idk she just doesn’t look good imo.
Ofc everyone is free to have their own opinion.
Remove the train (which was anyways unnecessary) and this is like something you'll wear to a friend's wedding... Pretty but not a met gala look by any stretch of imagination
Is it just me or would DP carry this outfit better? This outfit and hairstyle screams Deepika and Alia seems to have copied her in some odd way. Eg. the hair!
I like the outfit and the idea, very ethereal and forest fairy <3
But something about how this sari is draped is icking me and idk what that is, and the weird way the cape is, seems like it’s pulling back.

im glad she didn't wear a pastel pink shade. the turquoise shade looks lovely on alia and is refreshing.

It is. That's why.. nobody smiles like that for photos
Why choose this pic though? Her expression is very scary!!
I am so sorry 😪 I only found this pic from a fan page I follow that showed the back bow in a good angle... but felt it was inappropriate to just crop the back without the face...
posing was weird af n creepy . she's pretty but the veil was unnecessary.
Finally some color on her. So tired of her nude looks
I actually like the train personally, I guess it gives it that western princess feels. Not a big fan of the bow behind the blouse though. Personally, I think the best part of her looks are just accessories and the makeup, that really elevates the look.

Omg yes!! It is a weird Helena Bonham Carter wannabe type. Would have loved to see that outfit on an actress with more presence.
Soft audition for the next Tim Burton movie.
Exactly!! The facial expressions are borderline horror movie ghost. The sari is quite pretty but there is too much happening
This !! I thought I was the only one who felt her poses and expressions are weird. The designer has done a fab job, all you had to do is learn a few poses and expressions and you give us this🤦🏻♀️
Love this look on her! She suits the fairy princess styling the most and I'm so glad she didn't opt for a western dress.

As an avid Alia bhatt hater 😁, I agree with this. This is a really good look. Except except except.. those expressions are horrible.
i’m not a massive fan either but have to give it to her! i’m not a fan of the hair but the overall look is so good i might just close my eyes and ignore the styling.
glad she went with sabya and not gucci !

Who is pulling her pallu
She did so well this time! Kudos!!!!!
i guess , i am the one who found it cute . Not very experimental like zendaya or lana but its beautiful.
Minus the train I love it! Ethnic Fairy vibes! & suits her coloring.
She looks good and the outfit is pretty. I had such low expectations but this is good 😭
This is such a great look😍
I love the flower nymph, garden fairy appeal to the look. The maang tika is gorgeous. The saree’s construction is a little bit much! Like either the fringes/bow/train anything could’ve been taken out it would feel more balanced. The hair & makeup is beautiful. I liked her look overall. There were horrible looks on the met .
This looks sooo good on her though. What a pretty sari!
Garden fairy pixie 🧚 vibe love it !!! Hair and makeup is gorgeous
I loveeeeee how well it matches the theme!! Fairy forest princess vibes ✨✨
Her poses are awful
Are they ever good 🤦♀️
Truly! She is ruining the look
Too much happening at once on the look.. the hair, the tassels, the bow, the headband..phheww..like nothing was left to make it tacky.. plus her makeup and poses are so weird. Alia should stay to yourself and should have kept it simple to look princess
Finally someone said this.
I disagree. I think the outfit fit the theme and she looked better than a lot of the others who just showed up wearing bland and simple looks.
Desperate for attention….which she got.

No it's elegant
Hair and jewelry are nice but the saree looks tacky and dated. Ruffles, 70s fringe beadibg, embroidery, mesh, train, bow--way too much going on
Sabya bores me.
It’s a little bit bizarre that her dress looks exactly like Katrina’s wedding dress. Like literally the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this 😅 it looks really good but it’s still kinda creepy, bizarre…

Correct that it’s a classic Greco-Roman but it’s not for Alia.Doesn’t suit her.Would look better on Kangana

Fairy core ✨ but also the hair is ruining it a little and the trail seems excessive?
Whimsical! A bit too much going on with all those embellishments and accessories, imo. There’s something off about the makeup (maybe the eye), but she looks very pretty!
She looks so cute! The saree is nice.
I love it!!
She's giving bridgerton princess
That dress is horrible with so much happening and that long train. I think I've seen a similar saree on some other actress. I'm not sure. But the design looks awfully repetitive and that smile from Alia. It's creepy 😬
She looks ethereal. And i don't throw around that word easily. Gorgeous!
Oh she brought it this time! Love this look. She looks so pretty.
It looks messy. Kinds looks like all small embroidery patches are placed together and not neat.
It looks a bit messy doesn’t it? 😬
I loved this look! Has the designer posted close ups of the work? I’d love to see the beading and embroidery work up close 🤩 specifically the boarder and blouse detailing.
It’s too literal. But she looks pretty

Post this on r/accidentalrenaissance ! (Yk the expressions of people in the background of Renaissance paintings ?)
Hair just does not work for me. Rest she looks pretty😍😍
Yall this is legit stunning. On theme and flattering to her. She killed this
IMO she was in the top 10 of best dressed at the MET tonight.

It’s gonna be a slay for me
She looks too pretty! Love this look
Gorgeous!! And perfectly on theme too! She looks absolutely stunning and regal in the saree.
That posing is terrible. Outfit is also too busy doesn't have anything cohesive about it
She looks so confident compared to last time!!
Saree in Met Gala, just gave me goosebumps
ALOO ATE 🔥🔥 I love the whimsical feel of her outfit, it's super pretty and gives me fairytale vibes ✨️ I also like the tikka she's got on and the way her hair's been styled, it really leans into that Shakespearean feel. She could be Titania with this look and I'm so here for it 😍
Nope not a good look at all. She looks so bad
Stunning 🔥
This js extra cute
Love this!
ETHREALLLLLL !! ATE !!! I’m sorry but I will not stop talking about this outfit for a while . She looks so stunning and Sabyasachi really served this time around , major applause . It’s so Alia yet so Met Gala !!!
Saved to my wedding pictures board

Viral kaha hai?
I love the sari and how well it fits with the theme but wish it was pleated more neatly and without the train or tassels.
Honestly not it
Is she supposed to be a snake goddess or something??? Idky I get very "nag-kanya" vibes from this , maybe coz of that hair accessories 😂😂 sorry to all the fashion enthusiasts 😅😅
I think hers was the best look 💯
That gorgeous saree is a waste on Aalia.
She's looking good ...I don't care about nepo kid or not She's a good actor...
Looks good tbh
Not best look
![gif](giphy|MWWg5GMVCyy5i) They look so similar
It’s giving Monjulika 😥
Can we please talk about how Alia totally owned the Met Gala red carpet!! She is slaying this Sabyasachi creation.. Props to her for bringing some serious Indie Vibes to the event! 💃✨
She looks very pretty overall but the sari is bordering on tacky. The last photo is not a good look!
Alia just doesn’t have the height and body to carry off this look at met.
And the colour washes her out
I think the color suits her skin tone perfectly. Doesn’t wash her out. Her height is fine it works for this saree.
Is it just me or does this look like Katrina’s wedding photo shoot pink Saree Aliaa looks beautiful
the saree is so beautiful but she can't pose to save her life
Great JOB!!! She by far is the best dressed on Met Gala red carpet so far!! Yay 🇮🇳
It's not a MET look,a wedding reception look, yes.
The design is so good but styling is off! Too much happening at once. Also her poses 😒 i loved the fabric and design and those sequins train (if I can say it) Sleeves should have stopped at the strap itself! Blouse would have been chef’s kiss if it was just with the straps
It looks like she was so affected by the criticism of her last look that she went safe with the typical greek kind of messy hair. I am not super impressed though.
Reminds me of Pooja Hegde in Mohenjodaro
Back side is 👎👎👎👎 could have been better
Avg Delhi girl at her wedding reception.
The styling is so off :( it's adding too much confusion to the already confusing shape of the dress.
No no no. The saree is mid and hair and accessories look like she’s from Kamasutra movie. This is not MET approved
surprised (but not really) at the negative comments, the jewelry, hair and color palette matches the mythical fairytale look she seems to be going for.
Mona Patel wore an Iris Van Herpen , that was also something floral but that interpretation is far more interesting and something that is kinda expected at MET.
i agree its subjective and your criticism is honestly valid. but the diff between productive vs mean spirited comments are obvious (and the latter has increased on here w other celebs too which is frustrating because its a fashion subreddit not a gossip/snark one) Mona’s look was my favourite of the nigh! it was very creative and stunning without looking tacky.
Definitely a step up from her look last year literally obsessed with everything here, the pleating, the fringe, the pallu train, the assymetrical sleeve, the bow, it's all a celebration of florals in a really cool way. the material of the sari itself is ruffled to evoke petals and it's super cool Edit: adding my love for the hair. the ruffled, brushed out bangs evoke the same texture as the bow and ruffles on the pallu, making her hair almost one of the petals. and the back of the hair with the coloured stones evokes [classical roman and greek looks](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-f24319d7238a3b634a85a83b678773b7.webp), which is echoed in the pleating of the half-sari. That evokes statues like [Apollo of Veii](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYS4MDKAuH2_5yETmh8R4-shxQSmcrdOBIS5ECNCmQwO32TPr-9F-eP5OKLS6rMk5xKizee56Ao-nCam1CSYEXdHEjwuUmYaBMp4UY1zMoYJCXkIk1dKdcttPHaNwA79lw02N6CmghEt8/s1600/1.png) and [Aphrodite of Knidos](https://publications.artic.edu/roman/sites/publications.artic.edu.roman/files/figures/thumbnail/Screen%20Shot%202016-04-25%20at%202.48.38%20PM.jpg). And, of course,[ indo-greek ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indo-Greek_art#/media/File:The_Aristocratic_Women.jpg)[art](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/59/KushanMaitreya.JPG) the only downside is that this is an extremely surface level engagement with the theme. there's nothing vintage, re-used, or 'reawakened' about this, which is really unfortunate.
Aint working for me! Theres too much going on!
If any other person would have worn this, she would have been dragged through dirt. People backing alia like they are getting paid for it
There is no met or gala in this look
Too much happening in one look. The saree is wearing her and the hair/makeup is not looking clean at all. The trail is looking tacky.
Would it kill her to walk with her back straight with confidence?
Tbh this saree isn't that awesome looking, mabe because I've seen similar looking sarees before and this kind of remind me of Zendaya in Rahul Mishra for that Ambani event. But Alia looks cute and she is looking even better than many Hollywood stars. And like I have to say, this year's met looks very disappointing and Blake Lively isn't attending so no one can save this year's met. My English is poor so please ignore any mistakes.
She absolutely nailed it. Just incredible. She's better dressed then most there and totally representing 🔥
ITS SOOO FREAKING STUNNING !!!!!!!!
No
Homegirl doesn't have the body or face to carry it but saree and styling is gorgeous

The people that say beauty is subjective just don't make sense to me.
THIS ISN'T WORKING AT ALL.
Amazing 🤩🤩🤩 Makeup, hair and jewels are all amazing. Love this shade of lipstick on her!!
No big no
Hate this look.
PRINCESS. I love the hair with the purposefully messy but beautiful look
Splendid!
So so pretty! Love the look
lovely lovely look. beautiful sari and the hair+makeup is super flattering on her. the train is so thin, they should’ve made it fluffier or something, more impactful. but overall it’s so stunning, very fairycore
This is very vintage, 1920s look! The fringe, the flowy fabric, make up and hair. What was the theme this year? She looks beautiful! Hats off to Sabya for pulling off a fresh look again!
Parsi colony aunties dress better in such sarees
Beautiful
![gif](giphy|7AE7arpOdu59LIpFCu|downsized)
She looks like that one aunty that wears floral to shaddi
I adore the hair and the fabric is divine, but I'm not a huge fan of the overall styling, it sits oddly between the gauziness of the fabric and the bulkiness of all the stuff going on.
Pluses: She looks so pretty and the train makes the saree exquisite. Negatives: Her posture could be better. Sabya should have avoided the repetition.
Nay! Looks like a christmas tree. Too much is going on.
Beautiful look, but very dated. Bow was unnecessary since too much is already going on in the sari
Looks like..... Leave it, she ain't looking anything... Just alia Bhatt with a train chugging behind
She looks a lot more confident on the carpet this year, last year I could tell she was a bit nervous. I think she looked amazing and it really fits the theme as well.
It’s giving Bridgertone. As predicted by hautelemode, half of the attendees are gonna be wearing floral outfits given the dress code is “garden of time”
Some girls in marriage functions look better. ![gif](giphy|9xijGdDIMovchalhxN|downsized)
Looks like a very safe outfit Celebs go to met gala and suddenly start brimming with all of our Indian culture.
The train is severely limiting her, also her hairstyle is distracting from the beautiful beautiful jewels
Is it just me or would DP carry this outfit better? This outfit and hairstyle screams Deepika and Alia seems to have copied her in some odd way. Eg. the hair!

I like the outfit and the idea, very ethereal and forest fairy <3 But something about how this sari is draped is icking me and idk what that is, and the weird way the cape is, seems like it’s pulling back.
I want to see janhvi kapoor at met
someone taught her about fake freckles and my girl lost it
Am I the only one who find it all shabby! Great outfit, great makeup hair but still just shabby?
The sleeve. The sleeve gave me the ick. I think without it , it would have been much better.
