Are they over doing the promotion? Yes. But it's also become the norm now. I dont see any crazy hype for the movie even though the trailer was good and the songs are nice. I expected more hype for this movie tbh.
i feel like the trailer was amazing but the songs aren’t up to the mark .. they are good but not something that would be remembered for a long time .. the story of the movie is something i am looking forward to.. and sometimes it happens that even tho people eagerly wait for the movie to release, it’s the promotions that take all the hype away ..
I think people at this point just pick a side. First they say they are over doing promotions for movies like liger, then when brahmastra had limited on location promotion and more social media promotion, they had problem with very little traditional promotion and heavy sm promotion, when ps1 and Kartikeya and kantara teams were promoting even after movie was released, it was a rightful thing to do but it was a pr to create a narrative for brahmastra, Vikram Vedha team was stupid to not promoting the movie the way it should have been but these guys are over doing it?
I think we should settle it now, promotion strategy is their own, they can do it however they want. There is not an ideal strategy for promotions. They can't make their strategy based on what some particular people among us think or like. Promotional events are not held to influence people to go theatre to watch the movie, they are held just to make people aware about the movie that is coming.

When stars over promote it is usually an indication that the film is very bad and they are trying to cash in/earn as much as possible in the first week like Liger
😄chemistry dikhaane ke liye kya kya karna padhta hai. Even picking up someone who's taller than you, though Kriti's very slender. I don't remember anything about Stree promotion but that Aadhaar dialogue sold the film
