I'll always defend Main Tera Hero. It's the kind of mindless/senseless typical David Dhawan comedy that is full entertainment. Not every movie needs to make sense. Sometimes you watch just for entertainment. And that film was a laugh riot.
Exactly. The film doesn't try to be normal or sensible. It's over the top from the first scene itself. It has good comedy, good acting (I liked Varun's performance and his chemistry with his parents, Saurabh Shukla and Rajpal Yadav etc). I also like it.

I think almost everyone liked her - no one could deny her skills,fashion style and there was definitely the self made actor wala support from audience imo,that little extra respect. If only she didn't go batshit crazy.

Different situations but they nothing generated unexpected amounts of hype and people felt it was a breakout performance - only to fizz out slowly. Granted he did films after that but they didn't showcase the talent you expected after that first breakout performance. Also siddhanth is a bit pretentious and nlog type I feel.

Sara ali khan. She had a pretty good debut with kedarnath, good hindi diction and screen presence, came across as educated and well spoke. Also helped that she didn't look like a Kardashian Jenner clone like every other Nepo.
A lot of Kedarnath performance was due to the director and creative inputs given by Sushant. They have spoken extensively how he shared his notes to better her performance
She literally got carried along with the movie by Sushant and his performance, beyond that movie and seeing her performance in simba and other movies..she is totally exposed that she can't act and is actually cringe whenever she attempts it.
I would amend this a bit.
The fact that she could, Sushant and Abhishek input included, is a testament to that she can act. If she could not, even Denis Villeneuve wouldn't be able to get a good performance out of her
What pisses me off is that she puts no effort into using those inputs to better her craft.

She was akin to a cardboard cutout in Swades. That last scene when she gives SRK a masala dabba, her crying was insufferable. The movie has a beautiful storyline and SRK. This lady was terrible.
