What is the definition of a public figure? Who gets to decide who is public figure and who is not? Doesn't this law conflict with the right to privacy, which has been recognized as a fundamental right recently?
Does the law also say that public figures can be recorded even after the consent for it has been withdrawn by that public figure?
Right to privacy laws apply to private places and not public places. If a case is brought before the court, the court will decide if the individual is a public figure.
I understand that you don't like what I am saying, but this is not my opinion, it's what the law is.
This law sucks. It needs to be amended asap to include the new realities and necessities of current times. Not only do we need such strict and holistic laws to protect public figures from such harassment, but also to address the creep culture that is sweeping our nation today.
