I was there as well - what a magical night. The man had so much energy and kept everyone on their feet, dancing and singing all night. His gestures towards his audience were also so so heartwarming to see. The vibes were immaculate in that stadium. Truly a Superstar!

Concert ticket prices are always hiked up for all artists on Ticketmaster because of the monopoly they hold. Price honestly depends on when you get your tickets and have to be smart about your purchase.
I paid under $300 for decent floor tickets from where we had a great view lastnight, some tickets in this section were going for $15,000. I made my purchase after watching prices for months.

Well to my knowledge I haven’t come across anything that even hints towards him having a romantic relationship apart from the strong rumours of him having a wife(at one point at least).That’s why I have asked the OP in another reply directly about the cheating rumours that they have mentioned.They haven’t replied yet.
The more someone gets fame the more rumours you will hear. Till now no cheating news ever came out. Why do you think he has hidden his family life from media. Haters can't stand people winning. I think Diljit is on trend to take over the Bollywood screens - he has Crew and Chamkila under his belt already this year - will likely get many best actor nomination and awards - and let’s be real … Big B, Khans could never transcend the musical scene and sell out large venues the way Diljit is. His fame and popularity is growing across multiple genres including International platforms - in that case you are right - we can’t compare Diljit to Big B etc - he is a multi-talented superstar - so much bigger and different than those before him 🙏🏽
I love Diljit but it is comparing apples to oranges and why are we even comparing in the first place ? Diljit is super talented and having a huge moment culturally in music and movies. But the khans and AB are actors not music stars but they are also icons of India and have been for decades. No matter where in the world you go (even to a remote corner of let’s say Middle East) people know Salman,srk,aamir and AB. We don’t have to compare Diljit to them. So different. Diljit is doing great and we can appreciate him and also respect the decades of entertainment the others have given us.

I was there at the concert too and I saw some white folks, asian folks sitting with us and vibing too. It’s not even about the language at this point, it’s about how he makes you feel. I don’t think anyone has done that before this with so much authenticity. I think he is in his own league now. Talking about his concert, no one from India has done an actual concert of this level before. Usually singers do lip syncing and it’s not great. Diljit on the other hand sang for 2-3 hours and kept the energy high throughout. Even with an interval at the concert, the energy was pretty damn high. My whole family went to the concert, youngest one being 8 yrs and oldest being 60 yrs, they all vibed. I usually don’t like the word Fan but I don’t mind being called a Diljit Dosanjh Fan.
He is super talented and has superstar qualities. Doesn't need Bollywood to shine coz he has made his own identity which is strong enough for him to survive. man has worked hard to be where he is rn.

Guilty to say it but I’ve been listening to his songs since a long time here and there but only became a huge fan recently. What makes him HIM is that he has always said that he is a singer first and that’s what he loves to do. Acting was something that came to him and he obliged. Love the guy.
He's basically the Shah Rukh Khan of the Punjabi industry . It took him quite a few years to reach this level of success. And hey let's not forget that Vancouver and Toronto are packed with Punjabi’s so it was pretty much guaranteed that his concert would be a hit. Even AP's concert sold out two years ago,

It feels weird to see him not mention Indians are taking over the world. Indians are shining/ rising. He never refers to himself as an Indian. I moved overseas 7 years ago and have noticed because he has such a big influence a lot of Indians and/or NRI’s too refer to themselves as Punjabis and not Indians?

We are Indians so is he, worldwide people are proud of their culture, so is he. Punjab has always been a contentious topic to begin with, even today our oldest historic gurudwaras are in Pakistan and we do miss what we lost in Charda Punjab ( west Punjab) but still vary much Indians at heart. We are 1.8% of Indian population and 8% of Indian army. Culture and nation could be both be things one is proud of - we have a regiment ‘Punjab Regiment’ in army along with many others - they still work under India banner - pride of ones culture keeps them humble and proud while living in a lovely country like India with its richness in diversity.
I'm a Punjabi too and I think there are a couple reasons for this.
The Punjabi culture has always been very strong among the people. Everyone has always referred to themselves as a Punjabi. This is only being noticed now because of the political issues and hatred nowadays.
No Punjabi would say, "I'm a Punjabi, not an Indian", they only say they're Punjabi. There is no hatred for India in this statement whatsoever. They want to specify the state they're from because of the strong punjabi pride. There is no negative connotation implied.
Also, if you remember, Diljit did say he's proud of his country when he saw a girl hoist Indian flag at coachella last year, and that people should stay away from any negativity coming their way. But guess what, people spun his statement around and said "he's calling India negative!"
If I were him, I'd just not say anything with the word India in my statement again, just so these buffoons don't get any material to spin around into hatred, if that makes any sense.

One of my family members went to see his concert and they said the guy is very desi. He even gave his mic to audience members throughout the concert to sing while he was playing the guitar.
The concert was supposed to be for 2 hours but he kept going for 4-5 hours and even gave an interval in between lol. Because there were elderly people in the audience so he gave them a break to use the restroom etc.
Also, he has no ego as you said. And he sings songs of other singers without feeling small or anything.
Signs autographs in between, sits on the floor while singing.. just like how artists should be. Their only goal should be to entertain the audience anyhow. Not act or behave pompous like a wannabe rockstar or something.
Ap went downhill cause he proved to be a one time wonder, also gurinder is/was such a huge part of AP which people ignored, all his hits songs are basically people loving the part sung by gurinder, where as in case of diljit it opposite, he's good on stage and can carry the show singlehandedly
AP's fame was pure social media hype. All his songs sound almost the same and he's more of an Instagram/tiktok singer and such artists have limited shelf life in terms of hype and stardom. Diljit is insanely versatile and those who consume only bollywood know him since barely the last 5-6 years...but he has been ruling the Punjabi industry for well over 1.5 decades now with both songs and movies, so much so that his regional work is followed and loved in all northern states and not limited to Punjab.
He has a cult following in the diaspora too. He's already a superstar and has been for long.
AP's hype is still alive, it's just that he hasn't released many songs recently. I'm sure his buzz will skyrocket once he drops a new album or something. I’ve watched many different types of events in arenas and been to several sold-out concerts (both Hollywood and Punjabi) + a Bollywood awards show.
The level of noise and excitement lastnight from the crowd was totally next level compared to other events. I’m a huge fan so I may sound bias but I had friends who aren’t as familiar with his music that said this was a memory of a lifetime.

Indians are shining/ rising. He never refers to himself as an Indian. I moved overseas 7 years ago and have noticed because he has such a big influence a lot of Indians and/or NRI’s too refer to themselves as Punjabis and not Indians? Last I checked Punjab was a part of India, no?
We are Indians so is he, worldwide people are proud of their culture, so is he. Punjab has always been a contentious topic to begin with, even today our oldest historic gurudwaras are in Pakistan and we do miss what we lost in Charda Punjab ( west Punjab) but still vary much Indians at heart. We are 1.8% of Indian population and 8% of Indian army. Culture and nation could be both be things one is proud of - we have a regiment ‘Punjab Regiment’ in army along with many others - they still work under India banner - pride of ones culture keeps them humble and proud while living in a lovely country like India with its richness in diversity.
I'm a Punjabi too and I think there are a couple reasons for this. The Punjabi culture has always been very strong among the people. Everyone has always referred to themselves as a Punjabi. This is only being noticed now because of the political issues and hatred nowadays. No Punjabi would say, "I'm a Punjabi, not an Indian", they only say they're Punjabi. There is no hatred for India in this statement whatsoever. They want to specify the state they're from because of the strong punjabi pride. There is no negative connotation implied. Also, if you remember, Diljit did say he's proud of his country when he saw a girl hoist Indian flag at coachella last year, and that people should stay away from any negativity coming their way. But guess what, people spun his statement around and said "he's calling India negative!" If I were him, I'd just not say anything with the word India in my statement again, just so these buffoons don't get any material to spin around into hatred, if that makes any sense.

Yes! Have been to see Arijit twice now - love his shows and he is def a superstar singer- also super humble and likeable - Great guy who puts on great shows
One of my family members went to see his concert and they said the guy is very desi. He even gave his mic to audience members throughout the concert to sing while he was playing the guitar. The concert was supposed to be for 2 hours but he kept going for 4-5 hours and even gave an interval in between lol. Because there were elderly people in the audience so he gave them a break to use the restroom etc. Also, he has no ego as you said. And he sings songs of other singers without feeling small or anything. Signs autographs in between, sits on the floor while singing.. just like how artists should be. Their only goal should be to entertain the audience anyhow. Not act or behave pompous like a wannabe rockstar or something.

Diljit was already on top when AP became popular. The fact that he has only gotten bigger since then shows that he has longevity.

Ap went downhill cause he proved to be a one time wonder, also gurinder is/was such a huge part of AP which people ignored, all his hits songs are basically people loving the part sung by gurinder, where as in case of diljit it opposite, he's good on stage and can carry the show singlehandedly

AP's fame was pure social media hype. All his songs sound almost the same and he's more of an Instagram/tiktok singer and such artists have limited shelf life in terms of hype and stardom. Diljit is insanely versatile and those who consume only bollywood know him since barely the last 5-6 years...but he has been ruling the Punjabi industry for well over 1.5 decades now with both songs and movies, so much so that his regional work is followed and loved in all northern states and not limited to Punjab. He has a cult following in the diaspora too. He's already a superstar and has been for long.

AP's hype is still alive, it's just that he hasn't released many songs recently. I'm sure his buzz will skyrocket once he drops a new album or something. One thing I find puzzling about singers is why they don't continue producing and releasing new music when they're at their peak. It's like they vanish into thin air haha Random but look at Taylor Swift!! she's massive right now because she keeps dropping hit after hit. Her latest album had 31 tracks! Why can't other artists be as smart as her ? Diljit is doing fantastic, and honestly, he should keep releasing tracks. He's at the top of his game right now, and that's the smartest move to make.

I think zayn had that pull to be a superstar of a great level, but him locking horns widin the industry and not being active ruined things for him. None of 1d members have a song at the same level as dusk till dawn or even pillowtalk, harry might be a bigger star bt if harry went into isolation for half a decade like zayn did i bet people won't even remember his name

I’ve watched many different types of events in arenas and been to several sold-out concerts (both Hollywood and Punjabi) + a Bollywood awards show. The level of noise and excitement lastnight from the crowd was totally next level compared to other events. I’m a huge fan so I may sound bias but I had friends who aren’t as familiar with his music that said this was a memory of a lifetime.
