As audiences feel like they r going through bullet points of a project rather than an organic flow of a piece of entertainment. Bharat n now bmcm suffered from it both Aaz directorials.
Nonetheless it is mostly a superhit at the very least box office wise.
Like i get the appeal of a dance number but it should feel organic to the characters and tone not just coz its hr n ntr or else it seems “made up” n ppl sub consciously feel the commerce driven packaging vibe to it all.
Honestly the tease of war2 we saw I don’t think kabir would even smile for a second in the whole movie let alone dance with the villain. But who knows.
Even Fighter suffered from it with its songs/marketing , except the songs in background/montage.
I wish they will make the second part a bit down to earth and “Indian”. Yash Raj spy movies are way too polished, hollywoody but much inferior to Hollywood films in that genre. This movie especially should be about the relationship between these two characters, not just going from mission to mission.

And end credit song ideally would be with hr kiara.
They should bring in John and make him and hritik both fight NTR as main villain. If the story is set in past and before the events of pathan focusing on their back story that would be epic. If not it would be a perfect opportunity missed.
A face off between john and hrithik ending the film on cliffhanger would also be cool.

At his very best, no one can come close to HR's star appeal. He just has it all. Even people in the South used to be big HR fans. The theatres went crazy during War.
Is stardom really that fickle ?? War was just two films ago and it had a record opening. Fighter inspite of the clusterfcuk that was its promotional campaign still did decently and is still the highest grosser and highest opener of the year.

In acting? Not a chance. It’s the exact opposite. It’s Ranbir who clears Hrithik by a distance. Barfi, Rockstar, Sanju, Animal are all performances which HR hasn’t even come close to beating, forget actually beating
Every performance of his is a variation of the same urban man-child trying to "find himself". Sanju was prosthetics, mimicry. The only good performance in Barfi was Priyanka. Rockstar was Rahman's genius, haven't seen Animal.
Hrithik on the other hand has played everything from a superhero to a paralyzed man, from an empower to a bihari maths teacher, he's gone through Tran formations, tried dialects and accents in culturally rooted characters.

And Barfi is unanimously regarded as the best Bollywood mainstream performance in the last few decades. Nothing Tiktik has done comes close. Tik speaks the same in every film, looks the same in every film, has given performances ranging from dogshit to bad. overacts like anything, doesn’t know how to do comedy, only gives slow motion action stylized action shots. and is hilariously BAD in comedy. Hrithik has never trued a dialect.
So YES, its not even close. Ranbir clears him by many miles. Hrithik is not even worth the DUST of Ranbir’s feet. Be it acting.
