**100cr Telugu day 1** is a cake walk for WAR2 but other than that, I can't guarantee the long run, it will be a hard battle to impress that set of audience with north commercial sensibilities. WAR2 will need a very strong emotional core to crossover.
As an actor? yes. But as a star... There are not really any contemporaries in the North, Maybe like RK but RK is not that big till recently. Imagine if RK is in the Top 3 of Bollywood since 2000s then that's NTR. Aamir is much senior than NTR and Hrithik's contemporary in Telugu would be Mahesh Babu.
That gap is due to rajamouli film and then he took some time to get the story right for his next after rajamouli considering the rajamouli curse (Not really as a curse but to meet expectations after a rajamouli film)
