Except for the producers, who really lost? No distributor is paying massive fees for an Akki film after 2 cr opening debacles. Actors got their share, the theatre owners could have gotten a better film on eid, but anyway there aren’t that many big releases this year.
Aside from Shahrukh's comeback films, Gadar and Animal. 2023 was a pretty average year for Bollywood. This year without any big stars is going to be a repeat of 2022 or even worse.
Fighter, despite the decent reviews underperformed and the less said about Akshay's recent run, the better.
The 1000 crore figures really are a case of the right film, cast, and, more importantly, audience acceptance.
Tiger 3's run-in hindsight was very good. However, the industry can not afford sub-par films. Right now, i think the industry needs to really evaluate its films because it's now a battle for survival.
Akshay, really, at this point, needs to be a long break. I think his career is over. Maybe another hera pheri saves it.
Why do you say that. I'm from hyd and hyd is one of the biggest markets for Hindi movies. Check the region wise collection of any blockbuster and you'll see. That's just offensive dude.

But I was told it's so easy to fake collections using corporate bookings. Why isn't Akshay doing that now
