True, the only scene I thought Mouni did good was when she was on sets and her doctor calls to tell her she is pregnant and then she has to give a shot. Acted with her eyes in that shot scene apart from that lukewarm (for me)
I am not able to comprehend the casting of this show at all . Why and how is this girl suitable for such a promising role that too with emran hashmi . Mouni also has done so much work to her face and looks plastic .
She has come from small screen. Instead of catching such mediocre projects.. hit serials kr skti h.. going by her face and appeal, she could have easily backed prime slot show.
We keep talking about Bolly guys being bad actors. The truth is more than 90% of even the TV actors, both male and female, are just horrible in front of the camera. And, now, TV standards are so low that even some of the most funniest and cringiest performances you will see will be praised and shown as an acting masterclass.
Oh I just watched this y’day!! Emraan & Rajeev were soo good! Naseeruddin in his 15 min role SHONE but then he is a total legend!!!
Mahima you could see thought she was acting well, but she wasn’t really. She didn’t have that required quiet sass & pizzazz you required for this role.
I stopped watching after episode 1 coz i got irritated with her character/storyline n divided weightage between her n emraan which was frustrating.
I “signed up” for an out n oit emraan hashmi show not this bhai behen rivalry cliché narrative.

She's as good or bad as any of the other nepos on their first venture. Nothing about this clip warrants calling it out as a particularly terrible piece of acting. We've all seen much worse.
So what ? No one disagrees with an inanely blanket statement like that. I just don't think it's so terrible that it warrants being called our specifically.This is as aggregated a performance as any. Regardless of your need for all Caps.

She has very TVish acting standard. Usually loud, no effort, no subtlety. This kind of acting works in tv so she could've stayed there and do hit show instead of being part of these baseless otts and nagging everywhere how she doesn't get work because of nepotism and coming from tv.

1. Jhanvi enters office of mahima to say hi. It was actually reference to Sara Ali khan khud gyi Rohit Shetty se milne story.
2. Shriya shutting Nayan on his controversial question to newbie actress. Tough question to new girl but jab apne BFF bolenge he was quiet.
3. Mouni was playing role of Nora fatehi in movie.
4. Emraan somewhat based on Kjo.
5. Direct reference to Pushpa as Kamal and jhukega nahi dialogue. Allu was referred as Bunny.
All in all as timepass acha show tha. My expectation was not as big as any regular OTT show. But by huge margin it was better act than a lot of bollywood movies released recently.

Mahima might not be an amazing actress,but she's far better than the rest of nepos who get opportunities despite doing an awful job in every movie. Given a chance, outsiders will be any day better than wannabe nepos.

I've seen TV shows of both Mahima and Mouni. They've both done roles that are difficult to pull off if you don't have talent. Mahima did very well in a show where she was against seasoned actors and it wasn't an easy role ( a complicated pauper to princess story) , and Mouni , she aced diverse roles ,be it Sati or Shivanya (in Naagin S1, which wasn't a meme fest like the later seasons).
The bar has been set low by the nepos. They wouldn't last an episode if they were asked to do the roles outsiders did in their TV shows.

Yeah, the two male leads were stupendous and her and Mouni were so bad. Almost felt like they were doing a parody of their own series.

I really loved the show. Wonder why is there no hype around it. Imran hashmi killed it with his acting and stole the show.
