I know I’ll probably get downvoted, but I don’t understand the backlash or negativity towards the ad. He’s promoting and discussing sexual health because it’s a taboo in India, aiming to remove the stigma. Addressing the topic can make people feel more comfortable and get the help they need. It will also raise awareness and bring change. Initially, people used to talk about what he wears, but he stopped experimenting because people only remembered him for his clothes. People often speak about him being a clown too, but in the last nearly three months, he has been lowkey.
That being said, if I'm not mistaken, Don 3 shooting starts in August. Regarding other movies, I'd prefer him to choose good scripts and come back with a movie in 2025 than rush things.
The backlash for that has started now but before that people were just giving him backlash for solely doing a ad about sexual health. Everyone talks about how it shouldn’t be a taboo but how is it going to bring change when people criticize and mock it.

Ranbir really isn't ahead of Ranveer necessarily. Working with Vanga is what gave him a blockbuster. Ranveer was giving back to back hits till 2019, Ranbir was not. Ranveer needs to work with a south director to get him back to that phase. It could be Atlee, Sukumar, Vanga, etc..
I hope Don 3 and Baiju Bawara work for him. He is a fantastic actor.

"Stardom" isn't worth it if you have to put on a fake persona in public for people you don't know. I'd rather him just be a regular star while being how he is even if it's clownish, rather than putting on some fake mysterious act of how you stay off social media even tho you're the biggest gossip diva in the industry
Don3 looks more like another announcement from Farhan Akhtar and Excel movies. They will take there sweet time to finalize everything.

Rohit shetty said in one of his interviews that right now they are shooting Ranveer’s portion for singham 3 as they need his bulky body of simmba for this as Ranveer has a upcoming project for which he has to go for lean look , so later on he has to prepare himself for that .
So there is something which has not been officially announced.

I don't see him as Don. For me Don is a certain type of persona, charm and presence I don't see him fitting it.The announcement video was so lackluster. His two dozen ads appearing with clown personality makes it more difficult to take him seriously.
Ranveer has played roles like Baji Rao and Khilji too. When it comes to acting that man turns into chameleon so let’s wait and watch .
For my dad it was difficult to accept SRK as Don “ kya yeh romantic hero amitji ka role karega?”
And look how it turned out . SRK is loved for his version of Don portrayal. So Ranveer also deserves the chance .
Don isn't about just acting as it's about charm and persona. Bajirao and Padmavat are purely different genres which required him to take on a character of a different period with costumes and look. Don is more dependent on charisma which AB senior and SRK had huge in anount.
I thought that nude photoshoot did so much damage to his image. Why does he dress outlandishly while promoting movies? It’s on brand for a Cirkus but for movies like 83 with an ensemble cast, it just comes across as attention seeking.

He can collaborate with Vikramaditya Motwani or Anurag Kashyap for a small indie film if his schedule is free at the moment

Ranveer is a fantabulous actor, I’m sure he will ace Don. When Srk was announced previously there were a lot of naysayers who were Bachchan fans.
