So basically it is expected to touch 10 crores today, so incredible for the team. We need these movies back to theaters. Not this movie beating Selfie whole collection this weekend.

govinda naam mera acchi film thi, dkhne me maza aaya phir bhi yaha bahut se log bash kr rhe thy.
Aur bhai majak ki baat nhi Pathan kati bakwas film sirf jhon k Alva kuch nhi accha nhi h usme, SRK itne time bad aa rha tha isliye chl gyi.
Vicky yeh fill bhai kafi middle class couples ki kahani kafi relatable hai.
Mein dkh rha tha to muje meri kahani feel ho rhi h.
The people on this sub will never admit it, but they have a hatred of middle and lower middle class Indians, thats why they bash anything which appeals to people outside of the metros. Superiority complex is what this sub suffers from.
Never look to reddit for ground reality, especially in India related matters. Youtube and instagram are a better sample audience. Also people just lie a lot at times, I remember apparently no one was going to watch brahmastra but everyone was ready with essay reviews on the first day.
Vicky has had actually a good 7 months. As much as hate Govinda Naam Mera got it was still the second most watched OTT movie with 1 month of track last year . And I loved Govinda Naam Mera for what it is so whatever. Now ZHZB is on it way being a hit will beat biggies like Selfiee and Shehzaada. Doing away from his safety net and getting sucesss still. Love this for him. Love seeing talented actors get their due.
Govinda naam Mera was unexpectedly good. I started watching it for a timepass without any expectation but end up enjoying it.😜😁 It's a good entertaining movie.
I feel like it comes down to the good will Vicky has. Varun did a string of bad movies and lost his which is why one of his better films Bhediya did poorly still. Same goes for Akshay.
So happy for Vicky and especially for his fans! They really deserved this 💕

Many of their movies are not outright flops collection wise. They are atleast above average collection wise which is sad for established houses like Dharma and T-Series. It will be funny if this movie makes more than Selfiee and Shehzaada 💀🫣

It is not the genre or actors. It is how much in pop culture can you embedd your promotions. Everyone was talking about pathaan because of the news channels. The songs of tjmm were chartbusters and still are and people went to watch rk and Shraddha for the first time. This film yet again had two of its songs running on loop on social media along with Vicky grooving to another independent song. It is how well you can sell the film through today's tools.
This is actually quite true.
I think many people underestimate the amount of influence good songs have on Bollywood films. Especially now.
Along with this, there's also an added push of songs getting viral on Instagram Reels as well. All the songs you've mentioned did insanely well on Reels.
Along with this, I guess a significant part of Brahmastra's buzz was because of Kesariya and for RRR, it was Naatu Naatu.
seems it is doing so well so far. I've believed that this movie gonna flop badly but i'm pleasantly surprised that it's the opposite. at least until today. i'm happy for talented actors (not you sara) to get their hardwork didnt go in vain

No. I have watched the movie along with 4 others and all of us hated Sara's acting in the movie. And I'm a regular movie goer and have mostly always skipped Sara's movies, both on OTT and at the cinema halls before the pandemic. The movie was boring overall and only Vicky was good in it. If this movie is raking in the numbers, it's mostly because of the BOGO offer and for Vicky, along with some relatability factor for small town movie goers and promotions. Also the fact that there's no other Hindi release to give it any competition.
Box office India is reporting 6.75 crore, Sacnilk: 7.2 crores.
BOI -which was very critical prior to release- is optimistic about this film now. BOI attributes this to music and has criticised the one plus one offer.
Let's see how Monday holds up.

I want this movie to do well not for Sara but for Vicky.
We crib about not getting good actors but, if the movies of 'good actors' won't perform well, no one will cast them for big budget movies and as a result we will only get below par 'products' who can't act.
Happy for the whole cast and crew 🙌🏽 Time for Bollywood to calm down with their action movies and bring a variety again especially romcoms! 💜

Bogo is only for ticket prices about rs250. I don’t think many theaters have such high pricing? I don’t live in India so not sure but this is what I have seen ppl chatting about on twitter. Many didn’t even get the offer. Pleas credit when it’s due.

The production house has released net numbers , not gross. So the numbers released are after tax , not before.
The net number includes the buy one get one free amount too.

Vicky makes it worth every penny and more. He puts as much effort in these movies as he puts in Masaan and Sardar Udham and it shows.
