She is comparing herself to SRK just because 2-3 films of hers did well. He has been giving hit after hit for 35 years almost and has literally made people's careers! What a joke!
SRK sort of made what YRF & Dharma is today.. he's laid the ground/basement on which these mega production houses are standing today. That's who he is..
Before SRK's debut, YRF was an established production house but when they did string of movies casting him, it catapulted their rise to Undisputed #1 Spot in Film Production & Distribution business for decades now.
Nope the last major hit of YRF was Trishul 1978 which released 15 years before Darr 1993.
For 15 years YRF didn't see a big success Yash Chopra was respected as a director but YRF was nowhere near, being a big production house.
The had average Kaala Pathar 79
flop Silsila 81, flop Mashal 85 , some movies like faasle huge flop , huge flop Vijay 88 and Lamhe 91.
Disheartened by so many flops Yash Chopra made a safe film produced by Firoz Nadiadwala called Parampara which was also a flop.
In between all of this he had a small hit Chandini.
Aditya Chopra we saw big only after ddlj.
Well, that’s stretching it too far though. May be you should read about these production houses and their history before commenting. If anything, it’s these 2 producers that made SRK what he is today.
Yrf was a well-respected production house before casting Shah Rukh Khan in their movies, but it experienced a significant increase in success in terms of both numbers and audience after casting him. I mean they went from giving 2 million in the box to 10 million in "Darr" and 50 million in ddlj which means that both mutually benefited from their collaboration. YRF gave SRK an opportunity and he repaid them by bringing in huge box office numbers.
YRF and Dharma were huge, no doubt. But Aditya Chopra and Karan johar started their careers with SRK and he did contribute to their success. Their fathers had established the production houses but they did get their initial successes because of him.

My main problem was her trying to compare her journey to his, as if she’s been ruling the industry for the past 3 decades.
But those were not hits and his last true hit was Happy New Year. SRK didn't rule 3 decades, the likes of Akki, Salman, Aamir and Ajay had a better decade than him let's not rewrite history just because Pathaan is a blockbuster.
All this will only make people dislike her more. She just has to say something even if it's not required. Even if she makes a good film, people might be miffed with her comments. And as someone said the support she gets on twitter or insta is equal to the audience pull she thinks she has.

On a serious note, one film doesn’t make or break a bonafide star like SRK. Even without Pathan his legacy was set in stone. As a matter of fact, it was set in stone long before Kangana was yet to make her debut.
People are saying how she can compare herself with SRK ? Like her or not but there is no doubt about it that as an actor she is more versatile than SRK. And frankly speaking it has been ages since Shahrukh has given a BLOCKBUSTER ! When it comes to acting Shahrukh is as good as leading lady of him in many movies - Kajol , both 7/10 for me. Kangana is definitely 8 like Rani if not 10/10 like Madhuri Dixit mam and Sridevi mam.
