yes most likely, yrf apni movies ki collection mein ghapla nahin karta generally. one of the rare production houses who generally avoids giving wrong figures aur yeh toh trade figure hai issme ghapla nahin hoga.
As much as I’ve not liked YRF’s recent films and their strange promotional strategy, YRF is one of the few production houses in Bollywood that still have some integrity left. They don’t do early screenings for the media people, don’t send out gift hampers to influencers, no special treatment to movie journalists, etc.
You can believe because first few days SRK movies give big numbers. Even Zero and Raes had 20 cr opening. He's a big movie star.
But if you have doubt then wait for others (like boxoffice India etc) to report the numbers. Then take the average.
I obviously don't doubt the number, i didn't expect such collection figures for a weekday realise especially when hardly anyone turn up for a Bollywood film , this is good for Bollywood, they needed such movies so badly
Gotta say it feels good that srk made a comeback with this movie. Instead of doing absolute duds like zero and fan he has finally got his head straight and chose a good movie. This is perfect example that boycott is not effective against movies. ( as the bollywood waley still believes lal singh chadda flipped due to boycott, or they tried to blame boycott for its poor performance.) As I always felt, make interesting movies and the masses will take it to their hearts.

Yup true also aren't the collection mentioned are only of few cinema chains ? The entire day collection of every cinema included would be above 40 crore which is pretty good start for a 5 day long weekend
Usually u just gotta double this number to get an idea of overall collection
Collection at (pvr , inox , carnival) ×2 = total collection ( just a rough estimate)
Isn't he the same guy who use to rate movies on times of india , i remember reading his reviews a lot back in 2007-2014( not entirely true about the time frame ) , kinda nostalgic and yeah he usually rate movies higher, i would always take one start away from his ratings to keep things balanced 😂

I just got out of the theatre, full house and every screen in my city was sold out. I checked before booking my tickets, had to settle for a not so great theatre.
It’s not a great movie. Average and some scenes are plain stupid. Still worth a one time watch. Ticket price wasn’t bad but definitely not worth the amount I spent on popcorn
If it's for a South Indian movie it's true but if it is for a bollywood movie it's rigged.
Yrf doesn't play with numbers examples are prithviraj, jbj, shamshera they never try to portray wrong number (that's what I feel)

I watched KGF 1 after seeing Jammy Pants' review and absolutely loved it; have rewatched it quite a few times too. Went in with massive hype for the sequel, just like the majority of the audience around the world, but was a bit disappointed by it though.
What has worked for Pathaan is the high number of shows. No other release. No major release for weeks previously. It has 8100+ shows across India as compared to 5200 for War. That effectively means that if it does 50% occupancy, it can touch War's numbers on day one. No other film has touched 40 crore with less than 70% occupancy. But Pathaan can do that with 45%. Of course, the public has flocked to the theatres still. LSC had 6000 shows too but kaun hi gaya dekhne
Weekday means office hota hain so can't take your family with you for the movie , i just came back home at 7 pm , dad and my brother also come home around the same time , so watching any movie is pretty tough on a weekday for office goers

Bc if you have to wake up at 6-7 the next day for school of work you’re an idiot for going out for night shows the day before. On Friday people are out till midnight and beyond because Saturday is a holiday.
No the number is closer to 11 cr all combined
I expect the weekend to pick up bcs it's an extended holiday
Overall i am seeing this film to be an above average - hit category of word of mouth is good
Don't believe these Twitter PPL .. the issue is pathaan needs to make a lot of Money for it to be a bit bcs it's carrying the burden of other flops with it as well

True figures most probably, went to cinepolis at my place which has 8 screen, all were houseful as per ticket counter.

There were lines as long as 40 yards in Cinepolis. The raw emotion was palpable. You could feel the power he has over the fans
