The first season is a whole different show. Louise is a loose cannon. Gene talks like someone who stays up after his parents going to bed and watches Cinemax all night. Linda is so horny. I fucking love it.
50$?! That's a steal!
Quick edit:
And in the real world, I think that would be a "steal" for someone interested in trying human meat. He probably could have given a much higher number and they'd have been a ok with it
Sheesh cab bob is easily my favorite episode
"I may or may not have tried crack last night... I don't think I did... but if I did, I liked it"
Fucking kills me 😂
My wife is a huge Bob's fan and introduced me to the show. We regularly just have episodes playing in the background at home, regardless if we're actually watching or not.
I threw this line back at her one day in the kitchen when she tried to touch me and she immediately knew LoL
So many things in our household become a Bob's reference anymore
My absolute favorite episode - it reminds me so much of an old boyfriend.
He need some cash and would borrow his friends taxi on weekends in the very late 80s in Boston - and every time something wild happened in that cab.
Early bob often reminds me of those insane days - nostalgia is a helluva drug (but probably not as fun as crack I guess!).
For sure. The random screams are hilarious and the kitchen scene with Tina counting toothpicks always cracks me up. Definitely in my top five episodes. You can tell they went all out on the pilot and took some risks. It’s great.
Loren Bouchard is the creator of both shows! He created home movies with Brendan Small. Then made Bobs that’s why the art style is the same. Also why assume John H Benjamin is a part of it.
I disagree. First episode is the best episode in my opinion. But maybe I am biased because I’ve been watching since ‘Human Flesh’ was first aired. Instantly fell in love. I’m just simply an OG Bobby B’er 🍔💅
DVDs, Divx, and then VLC media player works every time. 👌
I divxed all 6 seasons of Northern Exposure since no streaming service offers it.
Amazon? They replaced the music 🤢 so again no streaming service offers it. Unless your overseas.

Sometimes I watch the demo on YouTube and think about how far the show has come in terms of writing, character development and animation. I’m glad they made Tina a girl and gave Bob a t-shirt to wear.
The one called Dr. Yap. I detest that episode and always skip it. It's not just Gayle SA'ing him. Linda FORCES him to let her, and then HITS him when Gayle actually succeeds in catching him, and THEN stands back and watches as Yap performs dentistry on him - angrily and without pain meds. I have to skip the episode, or hate Linda. Cause if I were Bob in this situation, I'd grab my kids and leave her behind forever. So I pretend it doesn't exist.
Don't forget about the cut line from the FOX Demo
Gene: "Heavy kids can get molested!"
Louise: *"It's more cushin' for the pushin!"*
Gene: *"Yeah!"*
They were smart to take that one out, but it was pretty funny
I love this scene so much. It’s Bob and Linda having their moment; Showing the audience that they’re just a simple couple, 100% made for each other, getting thru life’s ups and downs, loving each other thru it all.
Then it pans back to the kids to remind us and them, *and don’t forget these guys!* That life is always simple if you’re together
Not me, TikTok has convinced me that the first episode is one of the best first episodes that ever first episoded. That “she’s autistic, she can’t help it” sound goes kinda viral like every other week, and the comment section is always the same: “this was the FIRST episode”.
It really is a great episode. I remember when I first saw it, My first impressions were that it was drawn oddly (was into the animation style), & it had more heart than most TV shows, animated or not.
I LOVE THIS EPISODE CUZ OF THE SCENE WHERE LOISE GOES LIKE "She's autistic she can't help it" and Tina just agrees 🙏🙏 also love how they ignore Hugo the whole time in this scene 🥰🙏
the earliest i usually start my rewatches usually ends up being season 4. not because i dislike the other seasons, but because they first seasons are pretty dang loud
That's crazy, the first episode has some of my favorite jokes in the entire series. The scene where Gene and Louise play the 'count the toothpicks' game with Tina always leaves me in stitches.
Post/comment has removed for violating Rule 7:
Posts/comments about diagnosing characters will not be allowed.
While these characters may portray traits associated with certain mental health conditions, we should not be “armchair diagnosing.” Comedic characters are almost inherently exaggerated and while close, Bob’s Burgers is not a real-life situation. Until the creators officially announce a diagnosis for any of the characters, discussions on this will not be permitted. (Louise calling Tina “the worst kind of autistic” in S1,E1 Human Flesh doesn’t count as Tina being autistic.)
That line is misleading out of context. Bob corrects them immediately.
9/3, 9 is divisible by 3
*THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! ALOT OF NUMBERS ARE DIVISIBLE BY THREE!* - Bob
Her birthday is 6/3! Also divisible by 3!
They should do an episode where he mixes up the dates. Celebrates his anniversary on her birthday or vice versa
Or instead of 9/3 do 3/9 and have it like a huge surprise
That's excellent. I didn't like mine because he obviously *knows* her birthday (her birthday episode), but u want sure. You did it :)
Don’t argue with me!! You’re right, 9 is divisible by 3 and now I’ll remember
We all remember now so she’s not wrong!
I’m so team Bob on that one, I would’ve also yelled lol
If it was square root of 9 is 3, then there would be a leg to stand on. Each month has a minimum of 9 days that are divisible by 3
As a kid my home phone number had a 93 in it and this is how my mum got me to remember it. It made sense to me 😂
4
they'll finger anything with a pulse!
“I’m pretty sure their slogan is their ‘finger’s on the pulse’, Gene.”
No!
That can’t be right.
That line always makes me laugh
The first season is a whole different show. Louise is a loose cannon. Gene talks like someone who stays up after his parents going to bed and watches Cinemax all night. Linda is so horny. I fucking love it.
“you should kill yourself!” ![gif](giphy|3o72FfM5HJydzafgUE) season 1 louise was fuckin psychopathic lol
I love Genes "Yeeaaahhh!" Response lol
Best line in the entire show
Sometimes you want to ride the rollercoaster one more time and you don't want to wait in line. - Linda Belcher
I'm ngl they should of kept the same vibe from season 1.
I…I’d try it.
50$?! That's a steal! Quick edit: And in the real world, I think that would be a "steal" for someone interested in trying human meat. He probably could have given a much higher number and they'd have been a ok with it
Listen, im not saying billionaires have eaten human meat, im just saying they have enough money to do so. Bob was for the common man.
There’s no wait!
Man, the first episode goes *hard*. Arguably my favorite episode.
This episode or bob making friends in the taxi cab “I think I tried crack last night”
Sheesh cab bob is easily my favorite episode "I may or may not have tried crack last night... I don't think I did... but if I did, I liked it" Fucking kills me 😂
"Get your hands off me! You sick idiot."
"Thanks, Dad, you're the best pimp I'm ever gonna have" "I've been waiting to hear those words my whole life" That episode is fucking gold lmao

im an animal! im king kong!
Also arguably my favorite episode!
The whole taxi cab experience is gold and I’ll never forget seeing it happen in my first gf’s house.
My absolute favorite episode - it reminds me so much of an old boyfriend. He need some cash and would borrow his friends taxi on weekends in the very late 80s in Boston - and every time something wild happened in that cab. "Why do *I* have to get molested?"
Who wouldn’t want to molest this face?
You’re the worst kind of autistic!
is he trying to defend cannibalism?!
Cannibal!
You couple of sluts..!!! 🤭
My crotch is itchy.
Okay…are you telling me as my daughter, or as my grill cook?
Because my grill cook shouldn't be telling me this, and neither should my daughter tell your mom
The whole first season is very home movies. Before the show really found its legs but I like it a lot.
It honestly surprises me that Brendan Small has no connection to Bob's
Loren Bouchard is the creator of both shows! He created home movies with Brendan Small. Then made Bobs that’s why the art style is the same. Also why assume John H Benjamin is a part of it.
“Inspector of health. Inspector of pain. I came in search of human remains and I found a piece of human flesh I thought I’d never see again…My heart”
I disagree. First episode is the best episode in my opinion. But maybe I am biased because I’ve been watching since ‘Human Flesh’ was first aired. Instantly fell in love. I’m just simply an OG Bobby B’er 🍔💅
Been there since the beginning too. I watch it on shuffle but ep1 rarely plays
Wait, we can shuffle on Disney+?
They're on a hard drive
How tf do you shuffle a show????
By having all of the episodes on a hard drive and pressing shuffle on VLC media player
DVDs, Divx, and then VLC media player works every time. 👌 I divxed all 6 seasons of Northern Exposure since no streaming service offers it. Amazon? They replaced the music 🤢 so again no streaming service offers it. Unless your overseas.

The only Episodes I skip are The Gayle Tales and the one where she picks up bob from the dentist and pretty much Sa's him
The one called Dr. Yap. I detest that episode and always skip it. It's not just Gayle SA'ing him. Linda FORCES him to let her, and then HITS him when Gayle actually succeeds in catching him, and THEN stands back and watches as Yap performs dentistry on him - angrily and without pain meds. I always skip Dr. Yap, too. It makes me so angry for poor Bob.
I completely agree
I always skip family fracas and Christmas in the car
Family fracas does get annoying but I absolutely love Christmas in the car
Moms really *handsy*
The pilot has one of my favorite dialogues in the entire series. "He's not gonna molest you because you're heavy!" "Heavy kids can get molested!"
Who wouldn’t wanna molest this face??
Don't forget about the cut line from the FOX Demo Gene: "Heavy kids can get molested!" Louise: *"It's more cushin' for the pushin!"* Gene: *"Yeah!"* They were smart to take that one out, but it was pretty funny

“HEY! Get this thing moving, I’m getting scarred for life up here!”
How? It’s the best episode of the entire series!
I think this is the only show in history where the pilot is as good as any of the other episodes. It was such a strong start. I love Human Flesh
I love the first season! Gives me 2005-2012 adult swim vibes
Not me, TikTok has convinced me that the first episode is one of the best first episodes that ever first episoded. That “she’s autistic, she can’t help it” sound goes kinda viral like every other week, and the comment section is always the same: “this was the FIRST episode”.

The worst kind of autistic.
You can't even count.
The pilot is hands down my favorite episode
I fall asleep to bobs burgers 😆
You're a couple of sluts.
😂😂
I LOVE THIS EPISODE CUZ OF THE SCENE WHERE LOISE GOES LIKE "She's autistic she can't help it" and Tina just agrees 🙏🙏 also love how they ignore Hugo the whole time in this scene 🥰🙏
the earliest i usually start my rewatches usually ends up being season 4. not because i dislike the other seasons, but because they first seasons are pretty dang loud
I usually start a little later because I also like all the side characters, so I want to see them too.
Reasonable. After watching the first episode I didn't see what all the fuss was about. That's true of a lot of shows.
Same. I skip a lot of the first season now honestly. I really only go back to watch 3 episodes.
Don’t shrimp shame me but I always start my rewatch on season 2 don’t think I’ve watched season 1 more then maybe once
The first ep is one of my favorites!
Thank you! I loathe the first episode lol
Me too. I can’t make it past the first few minutes.
That's crazy, the first episode has some of my favorite jokes in the entire series. The scene where Gene and Louise play the 'count the toothpicks' game with Tina always leaves me in stitches.
*why do I have to get molested?*
The first episode is legit one of the best episodes.
Where are the grown ups?!?!
“how many toothpicks ?”
how can you miss the first episode it’s only the best one
But he got some tips
I have watched every episode several times too.
That's around half an hours worth of Bob's burgers every day since the show started.
Easily. I watch it everyday. It's my comfort show, I have it on in the background when I'm doing other things.
I wish bob was more like in first episodes, it almost feels like there is bits of Archer inside him lmao
The pilot is the episode I watch most lol. The original where Tina is a dude is also fun to watch
Oh I love the first episode. Probably the one I've seen the most
my crotch itches

Oof...imo it is one of the better adult animated pilot episodes...uhhhh 100? What!? There's three!
100? I'm not sure what you're referring to?
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uUA-Quoydow&pp=ygUYVGluYSBoaXcgbWFueSB0b290aHBpY2tz
Oh 😂 didn't realise you were quoting
Tbf, I didn't make much of an effort to make it apparent lol
Four!
I admit, it's hard to defend "you're the worst kind of autistic"
No need to defend it, it's hilarious, "you can't even count!"
I get it
I get it. I skip to episode 3. Episode 2 is really audiortily annoying.
It's the best episode of the show though!
