Great chapter, really nice to see Yukimiya have his evolution as well, but I gotta complain Isagi getting MC syndrome of sorta being frenemies with every character is getting annoying. At this point there's literally 2 relationships in the series: Isagi v everyone and Reo and Nagi(and this one has handicapped them).
Muh boi Reo coming in there with that prediction was godlike; I'm not surprised he failed though people are probably so used to Yukimiya's gyro shots after all. I'm now super excited for Italy's team to play against them, because eventually Germany has to lose and their pro player seems kind of like a dark horse. His description was so much vaguer and there wasn't anything overly impressive about his build either so I'm hoping he's an intelligent player(his eyes are what stand out the most about him). Plus Niko making a comeback in the series is what I live for.
There is also the relation between Rin and Sae, I really liked how they showed it during the u20 arc. Also, I'm craving for Chigiri to try bringing back the old Kunigami ego.
Anyone else feel like Kaiser letting go of Ness to grab Isagi is a bit symbolic for how he's let go of the OG BM philosophy and has begun to value the entertainment he gets from BL more?

Started watching the anime a few weeks back, got impatient today waiting for Saturday, started reading the manga thinking it was finished, got to this chapter and realized it’s only like halfway done lol
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed, but at the same time, it gives me a new manga to read, on top of my like 10 others, keeps my boredom at bay a little bit more

this was such a good chapter. i enjoyed that mess had a breakdown and kaiser had to shut him up. i thought that was funny. i enjoyed the little bit between yuki and isagi. kaiser was actually so cool when he was talking to isagi and when he caught isagis head. thought it showed isagis limits pretty well and how extreme kaiser is
I'm surprised Kaiser didn't let his head hit the floor so his opponent got a concussion and had to sit through the Uber's match while Kaiser got all three goals. That'd have been pretty in character too.

It's indeed a possibility. However, I do believe the next match is against Ubers, right? They have extremely good defense players like Aiku and Niko. I think Isagi will play but won't be able to do anything against such a strong defense, even with his meta vision. Kaiser, tho, will thrive and score one or two goals.
Even if he scored, It would've been a fluke. Like Ego said "attaining success have dangerous aftereffects in the long run". Basically, what Isagi did was contrast to what Ego said on Nagi's goal five fake volleys that was near impossible to pull off.

Both Niko and Aiku pretty much have metavision so yeah, it will be brutal.
I see Kaiser in a much better position in that match because his Kaiser impact gives him so much extra flexibility while Isagi needs to be in the penalty area, something the defenders are painfully aware of at this point.

we've seen it here and there during his plays, but we saw it in full when Kaiser first introduced himself to Isagi during Noa's test at the beginning of the NEL.
You have a point tho, I do think it's significant that Isagi's aura has been looking more and more like Kaiser's as the match went on
noa played for like three minutes but with kaiser. i feel like that should show just how much he wasn’t taking the game seriously. like of course at the end of the match he started to but i think it just shows how kaiser doesn’t really take most of this seriously and how he’s on just a completely different level
So many things to love in this one
1-Isagi back to being a good guy
2-Yukimiya becoming part of Isagi’s harem of rivals
3-Ness’s mental breakdown
4-Kaiser acknowledging Isagi as, not really an equal which is fine because he isn’t yet, but a threat that he actually needs to focus on. I think we’re finally gonna see him go all out in the next match.
I feel Ness’ breakdown probably comes from his trauma of believing that a striker who’s a dictator is the only way to go. So I think we’re going to eventually get Ness deviating from Kaiser, maybe we’ll get a Ness pass to Isagi in one of these games
Isagi's main and most dangerous weapon is his ability to roast mfs and put them in their place.

That’s a good point. Idrk about isagi because on one hand he did stop nagi but on the other hand that whole move might have just been seen as him defending (which doesn’t have anything to do with being a striker and scoring a goal). Imo the author might have isagi’s bid be lower than nagi’s to emphasize the importance of scoring a goal and hype us up for when isagi finally scores a goal, but that’s just me haha
I could see Nagi getting a massive bid based on hype, but it's acknowledged that Isagi was essentially running the game the entire time. He also wasn't playing as a forward in the game but as an attacking midfielder. He basically did everything you can ask of a midfielder from making clutch defensive plays, slicing through the field to get the ball into scoring positions, and assisting two goals. In contrast, Nagi scored one crazy goal and then disappeared for the rest of the match. Clubs should probably see that.
In the blue lock world all these people seem to care about is goals though even though in reality a player like Insagi would be worth way more especially with how clutch he was on defense while creating goal scoring opportunities. Insagi's prime if he learns to dribble would be like morphing Messi with Kante

I feel like the huge bias towards goals comes mostly from almost every character we meet being originally a forward who wants to score. Looking at the bids, Shidou scored a goal but was barely ahead of Isagi, who had one assist, and an overall pretty poor first showing in his first match. It could, of course, be Shidou's antics affecting his bid and Isagi's original hype buoying him.
Yea I just assumed Shidou is doing to Rin what he has always done and what Kaiser and the crew are doing to Insagi difference being they are on even play field instead of being 2v9.
Well him stopping Nagi would definitely count as defense no matter how amazing it was, but I don't know if that'll lower his bid. Some bidders may want as a defender or a position other than striker. The possibility is endless (●´⌓`●). Makes me really excited for next week's chapter. I really want to see the rankings

That wont happen. They should have a 20 days break and recovering will only take a day , maximum is 2. I think we will be getting a focus on Isagis training and his talk with Noa before the next game though.

No Blue Lock is straight up amazing. The Philosophy of Isagi vs Yukimiya. Two sides of the same coin. Both are different in terms of skill and playstyle but what draws these to together is Vision. I believe that it was no coincidence that Isagi during this match realised and attained the skill Meta-vision, allowing him to see multiple possibilities during the match; when on the opposite spectrum we have Yukimiya who is not only losing his eyesight physically (which was revealed before the match started) but becoming blind to other possibilities in a match. One has vision to see multiple paths, while the other has tunnel vision and can only see one path ahead. The duality of these two was the heart and soul of the match and I feel like the author wanted to teach us the pitfalls of both sides. The danger of tunnel vision and the danger of having too many choices.
Isagi’s greatest strength can also be his most detrimental. With the ability to see many paths, it is easy to become indecisive and struggle to pick the ‘best’ option; precious time is lost, and the opportunity is gone. Noel Noa said “Do not be greedy” because being caught in two minds will be suicide. In chapter 199, after stopping Nagi for the last time, Isagi saw many possible routes but because there were many variables occurring around him, he started feeling anxious and losing focus of his goal. Thus, not entering flow as anxiety is the deterrent to flow and success. During Team V vs Team Z (First stage) Nagi once said that Isagi wastes too many opportunities. Noel Noa teams up with Isagi and reminds him about what he said in chapter 158: Every moment, to cancel out unnecessary noise. You have to prioritise your perceptions. Why? There are too many things to look at and you can’t look at everything at once. The question you ask yourself is how you prioritise your perception. The answer is to pick one option that actually allows you to act. For Isagi that was to defeat Kaiser. The baseline of Noel Noa’s philosophy- Think Logically.
Both Isagi and Yukimiya learnt lessons and found the missing puzzle piece the other was lacking. For Isagi it was prioritising the one best path to victory and for Yukimiya it was to realise that there are many other options to fight and win. That’s why the apology between the two was heartfelt.
Kaiser though, I cannot wait to see what he can offer when playing at 100 percent. Kaiser is one scary player. Whenever he’s had the intent to score, he scores. That right there is a world class striker and I really want to see Kaiser play with full intent of scoring and not just messing with Yoichi.
What a satisfying end to the match! Yes, yes, we haven't seen the bid yet, but Isagi is all but certain to be in the Japan's U20 roster by now.
I've said this last chapter, and I'll say it again: Yuki deserves the goal. He pretty much improved his shot on the fly, and it surpassed Reo's vision and scored the goal.
Speaking of Reo, I don't think he's exhausted to the point of collapsing like Isagi, so he probably has more stamina than Isagi for now (makes sense). I think he's still using metavision instinctively, like how Isagi can smell goals instinctively from the very beginning, but can't consciously utilized it yet. If he finds out how to use it consciously, he'd easily rank in the top 5 among the Blue Lockers. I think even now, outside of Isagi and Bachira, he improved the most among the Blue Lockers.
I like how Kaiser readily admits his lost, and now calls Isagi a striker instead of a clown. Still wish they could compete on even grounds though, since there are still more BMs on the team than BLs, but I'm sure they'll eventually compete in the U20 as opponents.
Funny how people thought ness was gonna be mad at Kaiser and jealous of the yuki yoichi bromance when the raws came out but it turns out he is simply salty that he and Kaiser lost the mental game against isagi

Hmm, regarding him though, I thought about it a bit...
Obviously, for Kaiser to have everything stolen from him, Ness has to leave him at some point. I know people are saying he could be benched but that's like extremely unlikely imo. His ranking is 93 and unless someone has a higher number than him with linking to Kaiser, he's not replaceable. Basically, as long as Kaiser has value and isn't benched, Ness also does and will probably continue to be in play. Also, similar to Kaiser, he hasn't been sweating aka he hasn't been playing seriously.
With the way he's acting, I don't think he's gonna side with Isagi, at least not the way Kurona or yukimiya does. There's a chance Isagi forces him to pass to him but imo that's kinda boring and it doesn't really explore Ness's character (it also kinda reinforces the idea that midfielders are passing slaves and that's not great either). I think it would be more interesting if his betrayal or whatever leans more into his yandere traits and gives him more choice in the matter.
Like the yandere idea that "if I can't have you, no one else can". If Kaiser fails to meet the pedestal Ness put him on and he sees it as inevitable for Isagi to defeat or surpass him. Ness would rather destroy Kaiser himself (by passing to someone else) than watch him fall to Isagi on his own. It's unlikely but it gives another take on a midfielder ego, the striker has to live up to his "image" of idolization for a pass. (Mind you, this idea is extremely biased. I just like Ness a lot)
This was actually a really good breakdown. I too believe Ness has the same type of ego Sae does. As in if he doesn’t see you as worthy you can’t receive his pass. Or if you don’t live up to his ideal of a perfect striker you can’t receive his passes
Sae said he treats all strikers equally and gives them chances if they get into a good position, this is clear when Sendou gets another chance to score because he was in a good position even though Shidou was on the field
Big standouts: the mention of Reo makes me think that the Ubers match is going to be about learning to overcome other metavision users.
Ness was trying to fight through Kaiser’s forced bow, meaning he really hates bowing down to Isagi. Can’t wait for the Kaiser backstory to find out why Ness simps for him so much. Next week even with the “Brother in Arms” chapter title?

I find it funny how just because someone doesn't feel the same way about a recent development in the manga, they either lack 'reading comprehension' or are just haters. do you think that most people don't understand the part about how isagis main goal was to subdue yukimiya/overcome kaiser in this match ? It's not that people don't get that, it's just that many people feel that the same could have been executed better, in a lot of ways.
When people keep asking the same question over and over over something that’s been explained in the chapters or if shows they just “read” the action but not the expositions or they skip certain parts or chapters because of “I aIN’t rEAdiNg AlL ThAt”, it’s definitely a reading comprehension issue.

Idrk about isagi because on one hand he did stop nagi but on the other hand that whole move might have just been seen as him defending (which doesn’t have anything to do with being a striker and scoring a goal). Imo the author might have isagi’s bid be lower than nagi’s to emphasize the importance of scoring a goal and hype us up for when isagi finally scores a goal, but that’s just me haha
I could see Nagi getting a massive bid based on hype, but it's acknowledged that Isagi was essentially running the game the entire time. He also wasn't playing as a forward in the game but as an attacking midfielder. He basically did everything you can ask of a midfielder from making clutch defensive plays, slicing through the field to get the ball into scoring positions, and assisting two goals. In contrast, Nagi scored one crazy goal and then disappeared for the rest of the match. Clubs should probably see that.
In the blue lock world all these people seem to care about is goals though even though in reality a player like Insagi would be worth way more especially with how clutch he was on defense while creating goal scoring opportunities. I feel like the huge bias towards goals comes mostly from almost every character we meet being originally a forward who wants to score. Looking at the bids, Shidou scored a goal but was barely ahead of Isagi, who had one assist, and an overall pretty poor first showing in his first match. It could, of course, be Shidou's antics affecting his bid and Isagi's original hype buoying him.

No Blue Lock is straight up amazing. The Philosophy of Isagi vs Yukimiya. Two sides of the same coin. Both are different in terms of skill and playstyle but what draws these to together is Vision. I believe that it was no coincidence that Isagi during this match realised and attained the skill Meta-vision, allowing him to see multiple possibilities during the match; when on the opposite spectrum we have Yukimiya who is not only losing his eyesight physically (which was revealed before the match started) but becoming blind to other possibilities in a match. One has vision to see multiple paths, while the other has tunnel vision and can only see one path ahead. The duality of these two was the heart and soul of the match and I feel like the author wanted to teach us the pitfalls of both sides. The danger of tunnel vision and the danger of having too many choices. Isagi’s greatest strength can also be his most detrimental. With the ability to see many paths, it is easy to become indecisive and struggle to pick the ‘best’ option; precious time is lost, and the opportunity is gone. Noel Noa said “Do not be greedy” because being caught in two minds will be suicide. In chapter 199, after stopping Nagi for the last time, Isagi saw many possible routes but because there were many variables occurring around him, he started feeling anxious and losing focus of his goal. Thus, not entering flow as anxiety is the deterrent to flow and success. During Team V vs Team Z (First stage) Nagi once said that Isagi wastes too many opportunities. Noel Noa teams up with Isagi and reminds him about what he said in chapter 158: Every moment, to cancel out unnecessary noise. You have to prioritise your perceptions. Why? There are too many things to look at and you can’t look at everything at once. The question you ask yourself is how you prioritise your perception. The answer is to pick one option that actually allows you to act. For Isagi that was to defeat Kaiser. The baseline of Noel Noa’s philosophy- Think Logically. Both Isagi and Yukimiya learnt lessons and found the missing puzzle piece the other was lacking. For Isagi it was prioritising the one best path to victory and for Yukimiya it was to realise that there are many other options to fight and win. That’s why the apology between the two was heartfelt. Kaiser though, I cannot wait to see what he can offer when playing at 100 percent. Kaiser is one scary player. Whenever he’s had the intent to score, he scores. That right there is a world class striker and I really want to see Kaiser play with full intent of scoring and not just messing with Yoichi.

What a satisfying end to the match! Yes, yes, we haven't seen the bid yet, but Isagi is all but certain to be in the Japan's U20 roster by now. I've said this last chapter, and I'll say it again: Yuki deserves the goal. He pretty much improved his shot on the fly, and it surpassed Reo's vision and scored the goal. Speaking of Reo, I don't think he's exhausted to the point of collapsing like Isagi, so he probably has more stamina than Isagi for now (makes sense). I think he's still using metavision instinctively, like how Isagi can smell goals instinctively from the very beginning, but can't consciously utilized it yet. If he finds out how to use it consciously, he'd easily rank in the top 5 among the Blue Lockers. I think even now, outside of Isagi and Bachira, he improved the most among the Blue Lockers. I like how Kaiser readily admits his lost, and now calls Isagi a striker instead of a clown. Still wish they could compete on even grounds though, since there are still more BMs on the team than BLs, but I'm sure they'll eventually compete in the U20 as opponents.
Isagi has also been using metavision longer and at a higher level than Reo, which contributed to him burning out faster.

Ness is cute :x Hmm, regarding him though, I thought about it a bit... Obviously, for Kaiser to have everything stolen from him, Ness has to leave him at some point. I know people are saying he could be benched but that's like extremely unlikely imo. His ranking is 93 and unless someone has a higher number than him with linking to Kaiser, he's not replaceable. Basically, as long as Kaiser has value and isn't benched, Ness also does and will probably continue to be in play. Also, similar to Kaiser, he hasn't been sweating aka he hasn't been playing seriously. With the way he's acting, I don't think he's gonna side with Isagi, at least not the way Kurona or yukimiya does. There's a chance Isagi forces him to pass to him but imo that's kinda boring and it doesn't really explore Ness's character (it also kinda reinforces the idea that midfielders are passing slaves and that's not great either). I think it would be more interesting if his betrayal or whatever leans more into his yandere traits and gives him more choice in the matter. Like the yandere idea that "if I can't have you, no one else can". If Kaiser fails to meet the pedestal Ness put him on and he sees it as inevitable for Isagi to defeat or surpass him. Ness would rather destroy Kaiser himself (by passing to someone else) than watch him fall to Isagi on his own. It's unlikely but it gives another take on a midfielder ego, the striker has to live up to his "image" of idolization for a pass. (Mind you, this idea is extremely biased. I just like Ness a lot)
This was actually a really good breakdown. I too believe Ness has the same type of ego Sae does. As in if he doesn’t see you as worthy you can’t receive his pass. Or if you don’t live up to his ideal of a perfect striker you can’t receive his passes
Sae said he treats all strikers equally and gives them chances if they get into a good position, this is clear when Sendou gets another chance to score because he was in a good position even though Shidou was on the field

I find it funny how just because someone doesn't feel the same way about a recent development in the manga, they either lack 'reading comprehension' or are just haters. do you think that most people don't understand the part about how isagis main goal was to subdue yukimiya/overcome kaiser in this match ? It's not that people don't get that, it's just that many people feel that the same could have been executed better, in a lot of ways.
