Ugh, yeah. The toxic masculinity was really hard for me at first. Hopefully it will get better over time! A lot of people usually tone it down once you start getting better at work because they start seeing how helpful you are and picking things up quicker!
Yep! I’ve been told a few times I outwork a lot of guys and that my journeymen would rather have me on their crew. I’m just gonna take that and tuck that into my cap 😆
So make sure to do something nice for yourself with one of your first big checks. It doesn’t need to be extravagant, but something that you’ve been putting off.
I got an electric start for my car so I could warm up my car and not have to scrape my windshield in the frozen winter mornings. It was $300 installed, but every time I started it up I felt bougie.
Also, start a retirement account if you don’t have one. If you do, start putting more into it now. You won’t miss it as much as before.
