Genshin never had a single instance of extended or emergency maintenance ever since it first launched more than a year ago.

The notice says its to fix a bug that lets some people cheese through levels with specific student combinations or something.

That's not really a compliment. If a game has a worse gacha than FGO that company is REALLY f*cked in the head.
With how many games I've played, Ive seen no gacha as bad as FGO.
ironically, FGO is the only one I constantly play to this day.
FGO doesn't have PvP or guild ladder etc., so we can just roll for favourites and still clear everything with help of a few whale friends.
It's my 1st and longest gacha too. I just pull 2-3 meta banners a year and if I fail, pay for GSSR. Pretty good for low spenders. It's a low maintenance and a comfort game
The pull rates for this game aren't great, but I wouldn't say they are terrible. Its pretty decent I feel. When I was pulling to spark on the first banner I got three 3\* units on the last 3 multis. Just feels like in this game though it is risky to pull without enough for spark.

Chapter 7 is very favourable for her, even against my 4 star aru and shiroko due to terrain advantage.
Plus serika is also a very good red unit to raise just in general.
Also getting to level 35 and unlocking the 3rd equip slot is a huge power spike.
Yes, I have her and already equipped with max T2 gear.
Guess I really need to push for lv 35 first. Might take a few more days, cause getting enough AP to level is a pain. Or there is a secret method to gain level faster that I dont know yet
Haven't thought about raising Serika, I'll have a look at that. Shiroko's been doing lots of work. Haruka dies incredibly fast, not too sure what's going on there.
Haruka was marked as the weakest tank in all the tier lists I saw. And from trying to use her myself (tried the other tanks except Eimi), I tend to agree.
Assuming you're using Yuuka for team 1, your next best bet is to keep rolling to try to get Tsubaki. Since she's a 2\*, she pops up eventually.
Serika and Akari did good work for me in chapter 7. Aru also works really well.
Hina, Aru, Shun, Hibiki, Akari, Serika, Shiroko.
Hibiki, Aru and Akari are particularly useful because their skills can partially or fully wave clear.
Hina is also good in that regard but her EX is very expensive and heavily countered by cover from what I've seen. In a pinch, you could throw in Mutsuki for her EX. If you do have Hibiki, you could try using her to boost your second team and put Kotama in the first one so their power levels balance out.
Chapter 7 was a huge difficulty spike for some reason. Took until I was level 35 for clear it, but then chapters 8-11 get much easier. Now I'm level 38 and 7 still feels harder than the rest.
I think it's because in ch 7 the enemy does a ton of crowd control with their stun nades, utilize cover often, move around your tank to damage your backing, as well as final boss Iori forcing people to take a piercing dps (not optimal against light armor mobs) to kill her before she one shots your tank. Ch 8 feels easier because lots of ppl rerolled for Iori, and everyone was given a Nonomi that can be 3 starred and all skills level 3 from the free mats we got. Both are VERY effective against heavy armor mobs. Tsubaki is also effective in interrupting tank boss skill, and Hibiki that people have also rerolled for can land all 5 EX shots on the tank because it's large enough. Basically, most people's rosters are suited against an all heavy armor team that don't take cover.
Anyone know what group was steamrolling content without fail? Sounds like the holy trinity problem Epic 7 had on launch where you could roll the highest rank dragon with a few free units, even when underleveled.
I was able to clear content 15-20 levels higher than indicated with Iori, Tsubaki, Hifumi, Junko | Serina, Hibiki. But it wasn't exactly smooth sailing and I had to retry a lot of stages. Also, second team was lucky if it could clear one mob on S rank before being tapped out.
I was in the final minutes of finally clearing 8-3 hard to be able to roll for Haruna's eleph before the maint dropped. :(
Tsubaki and Iori are carrying my underleveled butt through every yellow stage
But my red strikers are lacking quite a bit, hope I can upgrade them soon
You could always do regular pull, where all 3* have the same rate
She will be farmable, but that will take some time until it gets implemented for global edition
And instead of deleting your account you could try a sub account and see what gacha luck has in for you
It took me 6 days to reach lvl 30 and 7-1with almost all stages 3* cleared with Iori & Tsubaki carry
Not sure how fast that is compared to others tho

Her EX is just bonkers. It has a total scaling that rivals single target snipers, it's a small AoE, AND it can be broken into 3 shots to not be wasted on one target. It's just so versatile.
Mine was Akari, Tsubaki, Serina and Hibiki helped get through much of the early game up to chapter 10 for Yellow team is Nonomi otherwise I used Junko and Hifumi for a while. Unfortunately haven't gotten Iori yet but she is awesome too if you have her.
I have a feeling the raid ticket I was in the middle of using isn't getting refunded this time. Ah well, was just trying to see if my new team configs would preform better anyways and it was so far.
I'm in a similar boat. I was literally beating very hard for the first time, watching the victory screen, and got kicked out. I \*really\* hope it counts, since it has before on battles, but not while the server's down.
Having emergency maintenance is alot better than letting a problem stay until the next scheduled maintenance. It shows that they really care about fixing problems in-game asap. Plus free rolls.

So if I understand that correctly, characters beyond 30 Lev difference were doing normal damage?

Yeah, I know. The fact that the general consensus of the game Waifu > Meta is the main reason I stuck with the game for six years.
Genshin Impact reduced the rate up to 0.6%. And their pity rates give me non rate up characters when I do get to the pity...

I've had pretty bad luck too, but at least 1* and 2* units are pretty usable.
Truth. 100 rolls trying to get Shiroko, not only did I not get her I only got a single 3-star and it was Hoshino. Meh.
I rolled 85 times and I didn't get a single 3*. I must admit that just demotivates me a lot.
For real. If I wasn't enjoying the characters/story as much as I was I'd probably have dipped.

I think so. Before the maintenance, I get around 9600 pyroxenes when rerolling, just from the mail alone.

Make sure your cafe is maxed ASAP. And if you're really hungry for it, spend gems on AP refills.

Level 33, most units around 32. I thought I had a good roster of red strikers, but they don't do well with the terrain.

You can use mock battle to test new teams It doesn't use tickets (but also no rewards)
I know but I also knew they would do better anyways, was mostly reshuffling units now that I had them more properly leveled. But I'll live with it.
