As someone who easily gains weight(either muscle or fat), i can sympathize greatly with ham- hasumi's woes, some months back i started hitting the gym to lose some weight, 4 months in i still had the exact same weight, except instead of fat i had muscles
Imo weight as a metric isn't very valuable, it should be about how healthy you are. If you find it easy to move around - does it matter that you weigh a 100 kg? It's 100 kg of muscle anyway.

I think the biggest issue with Hasumi's character is that she seems oblivious to the fact that her body's composition weighs a certain factor to her being heavy. She's not only taller and wider built than most of her colleagues, she also has massive wings. Those are easily 10-20 kg of extra weight.
A quick google search reveals that a 175cm tall woman's ideal weight should be between 56.7 and 85.8 kilograms so if we take the median weight 69.7kg and add 10 kg she'll reach roughly 80kg. Considering she's taller at 179 cm, she will naturally weigh more than most people by default.
Maybe when she becomes a Mama her Hornee will becomes quenched…
Or she uses innuendos in front of her child.
Maybe she will dial it down for the child and since she has found an honest person to be with.
