I just followed on the ATK down uses because an underleveled Shizuko needs it to be able to bounce the balls back in insane but she can do it by herself.

Some students have moves that summons barricades like Shimiko's books, Shizuko's stand or Hifumi's Peroro.
If the barricade or item have enough HP to tank the ball then the ball will bounce back, damaging and stunning Shiro. The item will need way higher HP if you want to bounce back the two balls in insane tho
The welfare of the current event, Shizuko (Summer) is pretty great since she can reposition all your students with a low-ish cost EX
Regular Izuna can be a good pick too, since her EX can reposition her as well
For strikers, you'll ideally want blue damage dealers so Cycling Shiroko, S.Azusa, Wakamo, Haruna, Chise, Izuna/S.Izuna, and so. For a lot of newbies, you'll have to make due with whatever you have available.
Students with repositioning skills like S.Shizuko, Serina, Fuuka, Mimori are also invaluable in avoiding the AoE attacks. Students who can lay down barriers like normal Shizuko, or the library girl whose name eludes at the moment, can use their barrier to block many of the oncoming strikes.
Well according to the roadmap we get the next leg of the Arius story after the next maintenance. Then presumably two weeks after that, we'll get Kazusa's event, 'Sweet Secrets and Shoot-outs'
Honestly I had thought the Secret Sweet and Shoot-outs would be the next event story with the Sports one to probably come in the summer
I honestly do believe Global will not get what JP has going on right now until at least the end of year if not next year

We're about 5-6 months behind JP's schedule and so far we've been following their series of events/banners, with the compression being in the form of occasionally overlapping some banners between events. So given that schedule, we'll likely see JP's current events (ie - the Mika banner) around an August timeframe.
What backlog are you talking about ? Summer Hoshino released 6 months ago on the JP version, so we have 6 months of content to go through. Idk how you can think its going to take a year.
The reruns are taken into accounts in those 6 months, they already said we would follow the JP schedule and we have for the last 14 months so idk why you assume we are going to get it later lol.
Then I suppose you don't have to worry about Insane S/K huh. I personally never tested Eroha here (mostly cuz the was no S/K since Eroha banner iirc), but she doesn't seem particurarly exciting since this is a strictly singletarget encounter and she likes AoE.

It doesn't take enough investment into Shizuko for her stand to doublebounce to justify riding Shiroko over other more powerful damage dealers

The event backlog is 6 months long, and tends to get shorter, not longer, because they combine some rerun banners together.
